Canadian law favours our criminals & law abiding citizens are the ones who get shafted smh. It’s one thing for an honest person to go broke for one reason or another & I can have empathy for them & even wanna help in the short term . However , what she is doing is clearly just taking advantage of the situation & more than likely has the funds to pay she just won’t do it.

What I find very strange is that immigration is an issue ONLY in the western world . In other countries it is not and mainly because if you are a foreigner you will always be a foreigner so things are clear from the start . \nSo as a foreigner you will have to put your kids in private schools , get a private health insurance etc …basically you will have to do what the wealthy locals are doing , difference is that they could use the public services but they don’t . \nAnd so for if you cannot afford to bring your family (also the type of visa you get will tell you if you can ) then you come by yourself , make your money and go back home . So the system automatically regulates itself . Simple .

We do not have the infrastructure to support these newcomers in a healthy way. It impacts the newcomers and overwhelms our systems. As Canadians, It is clear in our compassionate response there is an unintended consequence. Close the border so we can get our feet under us and play catch up.

********Important**********************Since I've been living in Canada for more than two years, the immigration protests you mentioned have occurred. To put it briefly, everyone moves to different provinces for PR, just like I did when I studied in Toronto for two years. The CRS score for PR is significantly higher there, and there aren't as many easy possibilities, therefore students there relocate. The protest is taking place in Prince Edward Island, where I moved a few months ago. They are protesting for the extension of their work permit and the opening of those easy PR draws, which are currently paused. I moved here in order to obtain PR, but I worry that this protest is inappropriate. Because everyone must submit a statement of purpose (SOP) when applying for a visa to Canada, and in that statement you clearly indicate that you will return to your home country after completing your studies and working there. However, if this statement is not clear, the visa officer may reject your application, stating that they believe you will not return home after completing your studies and working there. In order to avoid having our visa applications denied, we always attempt to assure the officer that we will return home. You have no right to request a PR, an extension of your work visa, or anything else if you have made this statement of purpose plain on your own. If you're thinking about moving to Canada, always make sure that the government is in charge. When I planned, getting our PR was simple, and now that they've changed the laws and regulations, they have rights as immigrants, so nobody should fight against getting PR and a work visa, etc.

I am a nurse, and the public thinks the hospital is a place to get their oxy for free. They take hospital beds even though they are medically clear by the MRP. My friend who lived in canada for 14 years. His wife get pregnant and they could not get appointment to see doctor untill 8 to 9 weeks waiting. One time they went for emergency and waiting time was 43 hours. Seriously, Canada have poorest healthcare systen. He clearly said that he did biggest mistake to moved in canada 14 years back. I been in Canada since age 11 and now 48. It is great to be part of both sides as I m an Indian born but got best of both countries and values. I work for a very large company and I feel I treated fairly and with utmost respect. Fact is Canada was hard for me when I started school from grade 6 to grade 10. I then changed schools and I was not bullied and face racist people. I went to diverse school. So diversity is good. Now my kids grew up here and feels at home but now there so many Indians here and clearly people here are annoyed and racism is become quiet high. I was verbally abused by strangers with racist slurs in the last few months. When I go shopping I been getting picked on by strangers at least 5 to 6 years the last 5 years or so. But now people don’t care and they act more and more racist. Indians sending there kids here should be aware of this. Also kids from India come here and try to do parties and drugs also. This becoming common. There is also many idiots from Punjab also. Many have criminal and drug and alcohol problems and they bring it here. It’s getting quiet messy. The government issues visa without checking peoples background. It’s madness. Stay safe. Canada is good country but the risks are also there now.

Western Canadian here. Moved away from the coast last year because of the ideological capture and literally watching the community dissolve and collapse in front of my eyes. Overwhelming drug abuse and a lack of policing or care for the general population. \n\nThe state of this country is sad. Yesterday was Canada Day, our July 4th. I say this with a great deal of cynicism but I don’t think we will be able to halt mass immigration, and the reason is old people. Old people vote, and they have money. Politicians respond to the people with money. My parents are in their 80’s and they spend $7000 per month on their retirement home. I’m renting an apartment because I can’t afford a home in Victoria. The cheapest house here sells for $700,000. And so I’ve no intention of getting married or having kids. It’s clear to me that this is happening all over Canada. The death rate exceeds the birth rate. Two or three generations live together under one roof. Meanwhile, the picture is different with white Canadians who have been here over a hundred years. The amount of money international students specifically indian students invest in getting admissions and visa here, is the amount of money they can use to get very rich education without even working and just studying and staying in a good hostel with food there in India. When any system is overwhelmed by volume..due to poor planning, poor resource management, lack of or poor controls, you will have issues. Immigration is a system of processes. This system, along with cost, resources, and time, constitute a value stream. So, what Canada has is an ill defined value stream. It was designed for 100 people, yet it is now dealing with 10,000 people at eny given time. \n\nIt is time to go back and define the requirements. This means reining in the volume, cost, and related. This will mean difficult choices on ehere to put the money. It will mean trade-offs. We have already shown that universities and provinces can not manage this....only looking for money. \n\nIt is time to start looking at having a more robust input or immigration system. Yes, it will appear heavy, and it means saying 'NO' in certain situations. One can not be everything to everyone. \n\nDefine the guard rails of the processes. Make them clear and concrete. Make thrm known. The rigorously enforce them. It is a black and white input. \n\nAdditionally, regarding university and Canada, perhaps it is tome to take the right of allowing an international student to specify a specific university. Maybe they should be assigned based upon their chosen major and the load factor...the idea is all else being the same... even costs, their intake is assigned a priority, and the slot they get assigned to is based upon level loading and capacity of the system. They have no say as far as which university...just that they will have a coat effective, high quality, result.

I got a chance to get shifted to North America 24 years ago. By then I had reached a CXO level job in India and that company gave me a choice. I decided it was good in India, and my salary went up as the years went by. In USD terms I might have got lesser than in NA, but in purchasing power, I got more, I think.\n\nThen India's growth after Y2k happened and I got other jobs, and participated in stock options with start-ups with dynamic founders (India has a decent VC-PE network now, especially for technology people). 5 years ago I decided no need to work and be on my own, doing stuff I always wanted do, but income was more priority. Today I realise most of new wealth is being created in India: new ideas, new services, products, delivery systems, etc: all being thought of in India. Why go abroad, except for a vacation?\n\nToday I have a fairly substantial net worth that got created through those wealth sharing jobs and I realize when I visit NA, that I would never have got this, not unless I had been there for a long time, and certainly not in Canada - that's pretty clear.\n\nToday, India is the place where wealth is being made. If you have a product or service that is successful, or are a part of such an enterprise and get to share in the value creation (that's a risk, not a given, not guaranteed), India is the place to be. And by going out of India, you are taking a risk, this is no different, except we know India in our blood.\n\nIf you are entrepreneurial, or have the risk taking capacity to work with an entrepreneur and share his risk with stock participation, there a great probability you will do very, very well in India.\n\nThe biggest upside: YOU are now developing India!

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. I don't mind that though we are used to it. I don't hate him but can he make a video for other countries as well ? how Many Chinese students who didn't even past the language test come to Canada to study and drives expensive cars even without working a single day ? how you bring a immigrant under refugees status from any country to match labor shortage, but who also has 5-7 kids which means you get 1 guy benefiting Canada with 5-7 person who will take benefit from Canada?.....

The delivery guy made the mistake of not recording the customer as well! This type of behavior by anyone is unprofessional and should be reported to the place of the customer's employment. The customer also talks in an accent and not because hes mocking the indian accent but it seems he has a jamaican ,Haitian , or African accent. He calls the indian guy brown and thats clearly an indication of racism. Putting the food on the ground and mocking him to pick it up is an indication of superiority and he is trying to degrade the delivery person. this in itself is a form of harassment i can venture a guess as to what color the customer is! I see alot of negative comments against indians and a lack of support for indians and thats only because most other races simply dislike indians. If the delivery person was a black man or hispanic i bet there would be riots all over the place. The name of the game is..if you are too kind you will get stepped all over. Canada brings in many educated professionals to the country but when they arrive, they're unable to get a job. I've heard horror stories of doctors from Latin America who have been told that in order for them to practice medicine in the country, they're required to do further study at a university for between 2-4 years (regardless of English proficiency). Canada clearly doesn't value foreign experience or qualifications.
