Instead of criminalising refuge seekers, the gov should use them, set a wage that's lower than the standard, charge for their services at the standard, for a period of time, enough for these ppl to get their footing , use the difference to fund programmes and tackle different aspects of the problem, keep tabs on families and individuals by making ppl register, use them to fix infrastructure and do jobs that otherwise go unfilled, many of these people are skilled and hard workers, they will have a reason to stay within the boundaries of society, the country will have more money circulating, but they situation is being misused, it's an opportunity to get ahead, it's an opportunity to increase natural citizens skills and living conditions, to create other jobs and industries, and to fix the economy, strengthen economic and political ties with the countries these ppl are coming from, and also charge a tax in whatever way can be done to these countries per person they recieve.things like housing, many of these workers can build houses, and that gap between lowered wage and standard wage or tax for entering America illegally, could be used to fund better public housing, etc.

You know what, I’m an immigrant too. I came to America in 1988 from a communist country to have a better life and have religious freedom. But it took us more than 5 years, if not more, to get approved and jump every hurdle, every flaming hoop, and else they asked us to do, BUT, WE DID IT! Why do people think it’s ok to be able to come here illegally when others have to Jump through hoops to get here? And the stupid fucks who think they should be allowed to do that shit, should be made to put em up in THEIR HOMES AND NOT ON THE TAXPAYERS DOLLAR! Period point blank!!!! There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. In Quebec we already have over 40000 of these illegals living on government checks, taking space during a housing crisis, taking healthcare when the system is overloaded, sending their children to overloaded schools (Relative to the numbers of teachers) with them not contributing at all... they are making it harder for people to have families during a period of low birthrates. I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Right now, we need fewer immigrants, not more. It is irresponsible to be opening the floodgates to immigration when we do not have enough affordable housing for them to live in. Where are they going to live? Under the current system, we have more new Canadians bidding up the prices on a limited supply of housing. To say that increased immigration will build MORE houses is just not true. Since 2000, Canada has brought in 5 956 963 immigrants; (Source Statista). During that same period that we brought in almost 6 million new immigrants, Canada’s housing situation has deteriorated to the point so that people are unable to find affordable housing. Forty-year old’s are living in their parents basements because they cannot afford a house or rent an apartment. If 6 million new Canadians only makes housing worse, what will opening the flood gates do? No, we need to fix our problems at home. Ensure that there is enough housing for people to move into before bringing them into Canada.

Very good video. I am an Australian citizen, and I share your views. Also I want to add another reason why I prefer Canada than Australia. Being originally from Peru, I currently live in Peru, my wife is also Peruvian and a baby with 5 month at the time of writing, however there is no family reunion visa to take my whole family (only my baby who will hold Australian citizenship but not my wife) so I cannot take them both, because migrations force my wife to apply to the Partner Visa, that cost AU$7850 (US$5,600) plus agent fees, documents, ticket price, and other cost. Also the waiting period is about 24 to 28 months. So if I return to Australia, I first need to find a job, then save the $5,600, send and amount of money to Peru during my absence, then wait about 2 years and spend about $10,000 to $15,000 extra to bring my family to Australia. The cost of waiting carries a lot of anxiety, health issued due to the uncertainty and may damage my marriage, And if I get to my wife a Visitor visa, she is not allowed to work and study, and I must pay private insurance, and for experience, private insurance policies and gap costs are very high. Of course visiting my family every 6 months is costly and timely prohibited, an economic flight from Australia to Peru costs about US$2,500 and takes about 1 day or 38 hours, add also the jet lag and day difference.\nIn contrast, Canada allows me to take my whole family in just 3 months, my wife can get a working visa, and if we decided to reunite in 6 o 9 month, I can go to Peru every long weekend to visit my family, a flight from Toronto to Lima is about $500 return and only 8 hours so I can go to Peru and come back to Canada in a long weeked, a luxury imposible to do if I lived in Australia. \nWhen my father passed away here in Lima, I was in Australia at university, and due to cost and time, I couldn't go to give him a farewell and to his funeral, a issue that regretted; for that reason, my mother-in-law, who needs care and being my wife, her only child, after facing my own experience, we decided that Canada and not Australia, is a better choice, if something happens with my in-law, from Canada my wife can see her quickly.\nThank you for sharing in this video

You don't get a reward or a claim for car insurance unless you get in accident ffs. If you (who ever feels this way) don't see the benefit of paying these bills, nigeria would love to have you guys back I'm sure. High cost of living? Isn't it the same in Lagos? And there an no amenities? Taxes? The good roads you drive your car on, the hospitals etc, they don't just appear magically - do they? Boring? Make friends, try new sports, travel to new places (within and outside Canada), explore, get a job(so at least you have somewhere to go? Home sick? Grow up or go home - period!! There are minority groups in nigeria too (I come from a minority group in nigeria and its a similar feeling). Nobody moves you to a retirement home (compulsorily) if you have family and your family can care for you.

Canada has no culture of its own. People from all around the world gathered here to escape wars, political issues, or for economic reasons from their home country. When honeymoon period is over (around 5 years) they start realizing that leaving behind their own people, culture, festivals, food, etc was not a good idea. Life in Canada (maybe in United States too) is very monotonous and robotic. Years and years go by\nand people are doing same thing over and over. Weather is very unpredictable to plan out anything in advanced. Due to bad weather entire country is designed to be indoors. People leave their wooden houses in cars to work in buildings with no open windows. Unless you leave in core downtown you won't see people on road as everybody is either in their vehicles, in their house, or slaving away at work. To all people who are looking to relocate to Canada: If you are doing well in your home country then do not leave. Life in western countries look good from far but when you live here it's different. Loneliness and depression will be your biggest enemy. Stay in your home country around your own culture and people.

When I am in Colombia after a period of time I want to go back to the US. I am trap in the middle as you mentioned and I don't like it. I am from Pakistan. Studied and lived in USA for over 10 years. Don't know where my time has gone so fast. Life is very busy in usa (I lived in Chicago, Denver, Orange County, CA and LA. People have to work two jobs to ends meet. Most people have to share housing...that really sucks. Constant expense (rent or mortgage payments are so high people have to constantly work. Whatever time people get they run chores and stay home and chill. You see ultra rich or people on welfare having fun at the beach. I have had a very close friend from pakistan came to usa same time as I did. we both never had enough time to meet up on regular basis. even when we met we had so many things in back of our minds running. I had couple of girlfriends (of course at different times) but they had other boyfriends at the same time. And number one thing they had on their mind is was get money from you. What you wear and drive is what you are. People consider you obsolete if you wear non branded shoes or older models of branded shoes. I traveled extensively in the US and Canada. But in East Europe like Romania and Poland I found people very friendly. Now I am back in pakistan facing basic problems like traffic jams, noisy honking streets and so on but for some reason i feel worriless and relax. whenever i go out, people start to talk to you and you feel like home. everyone is super friendly and is available for help. however you cant really trust people with money though. hahahha. After living in USA for so long I do really miss many things about it though. the efficient system is definitely a big plus. and i have realized that some times i like being all alone for extensive period of times. but knowing that i can meet up anyone any time gives me peace of mind. i have realized hard way that man made martials can amuse you to some extent only. you need live beings are you.

employment isn't secure in canada they have this system called probation period and most jobs are none governmental jobs , they are private sectors. Also it's expensive no wonder why they have homelessness on the streets and left without homes cause of the cost of living and the high prices of homes I might leave one day too and go somewhere where I don't have to pay taxes, have good life and can afford buying a home.
