I’m a U.S. American and I’m so horrified, ashamed, and sad about what trump’s administration is doing. I find no fault in you doing what is right and necessary for your country. I just wish we a government that wanted what is best for us.

This is a move Trump himself didn't even want to take. He was forced to do so by the American energy sector. Trump wants america to become completely free of any foreign dependence. The only thing Canada has that the United States depends on is their energy for the Northern US. Trump has slashed regulations and opened land for American companies to start drilling and providing their own energy to the US. They decided against it for record profits. This will for e them to start drilling in the US by making it cheaper than getting energy from Canada. This has nothing to do with Russia. If it did, the US could get all the cheap oil and natural gas as he wants. Putin would give it to the US for free. Trump could careless about Russia or Putin. He wants american energy companys to start doing their jobs and provide energy to the american people at a reasonable cost. But all they are worried about is their record profits.

Most normal Americans don't want it either but the Trump cult members believe every crazy word that man says. Not all Republicans are in love with his cult but I don't think they know what to do to control him..

Well if Trump wants war with Canada, Canada must invite the Chinese to put a military base on our territory, the Chinese would be very happy to get closer to the Americans.

I am so sorry Canada, truly. I'm embarrassed that our president would do this. It's shameful. Please know that even though the majority of votes put Trump into office, it wasn't a landslide. Something like 40% of us did NOT vote him in. Therefore, there are many, many Americans who did not want him, do not want his politics and are seriously sorry for his actions.

The thing is Trump will start directing sales to Russia. It’s the only logical outcome unless Trump wants to walk back his tariffs. Gonna call it now, he’s gonna lift the trade ban with Russia and direct American goods there.
