Im so ashamed and outraged at my country. I have NEVER supported this president and his regime. I am a senior citizen and of course i will be affected grately from his hateful greedy actions. \nMr Trudeau you are a leader!

The problem for both the Canadians and the Mexicans is, that they have a drug addict as a neighbour and an American administration, that blames others for its own misgivings. Compounded of course, by the fact, that there's a lunatic at the helm of the good ship America!!

I'm ready to pull together with other Canadians! - Donald Trump is of course not a smart man but that would be dumb to say if you are a politician trying to contain a tarrif war. - (OMG, Wolf Blitzer grew up in Buffalo NY and spent summers at Crystal Beach. My oh my. He probably loved Irv Weinstein. Hope he liked watching Billy Van... if he watched CHCH TV back then.)

Im a embarrassed American because half of this country, voted this idiot into office. I think they’re coming to their senses, but of course it’s too late. I do not blame Canada for their actions I blame Trump.
2025-03-04 0
Donald is not a smart man of course. But, in terms of approaching a fascist and a criminal, since Canada will be hurt, Trudeau has to be the decent guy he is. Brilliant speech, the best I have heard ever. The guy is poised and knows how to speak. He is smart and compared to him, Trump is incredibly stupid. Bravo. Let me be clear, Trump is a traitor, a bully, a conman, totally lacking in compassion...he is driven by his perverse megalomania and narcissism. He is, in reality a very mentally sick man. And the Republicans are his pathetic cowardly accomplices. Given the continued support, Trump will run American into the gourd, even risk a war to get the attention he needs so badly.
2025-03-04 0
We don’t want this either. It’s too bad that half of our government is allowing this dictator to operate unchecked. \n\nTrump never cared about American families. Let his supporters lose their jobs and homes and everything they worked for. Of course when they’re too tired from being beat down, they won’t have the energy to do anything

Bumpyism is a curse. This fool on his golf course is taking us to disaster. The Bumpy people in the US, morons, need to recognise their flaccid stupidity. You have given your freedom to a nazi.
2025-03-04 0
Who cares? Seriously Of course he's upset. Canada relies heavily on the U.S., with about 75% of its exports going to America, making us a major contributor to their GDP. Instead of making other countries richer, we should focus on manufacturing and building here at home. This would keep more money circulating in the U.S., boosting economic growth and strengthening our own GDP. A stronger domestic economy means more jobs, higher wages, and greater financial stability for Americans. Regardless of who’s president, we need fair trade policies that benefit the U.S. just as much as our partners.
2025-03-04 0
Trump loves America. Trudeau, you stepped down I thought? Don't you have the lowest ratings from your own people? We love our president, well the normal ones here in USA, not the gender confused left of course. Tariffs work, that's why you're on tv right now addressing it with such fear.
2025-03-04 0
Of course you don't want tariffs, they won't effect us ????
2025-03-04 0
I'm a British American. I stand with Canada, Mexico and Europe (and of course Ukraine).

As tensions rise in Eastern Europe, the importance of steadfast leadership within NATO has never been clearer. France and Germany, long considered the backbone of the alliance, have stepped up with decisive action, reinforcing NATO’s eastern flank with strategic troop deployments and economic resilience. French President Émile Laurent and German Chancellor Anna Weber have demonstrated a commitment to European security, bolstering defense spending, coordinating joint military exercises, and ensuring the alliance remains united against growing threats. Their leadership has reassured smaller NATO members that Europe’s security remains a priority, even as transatlantic relations waver.\nAcross the Atlantic, however, Washington’s indecisiveness and political gridlock have left NATO partners questioning America’s long-term commitment. While previous U.S. administrations led with clear strategic vision, the current White House has struggled to project strength, often sending mixed signals on critical global issues. Despite these challenges, European leadership has proven that NATO’s stability does not rest solely on American shoulders. France and Germany’s firm diplomacy and strategic coordination have kept the alliance on course, ensuring that collective defense remains ironclad, even in the absence of strong guidance from the United States.

Trump wants to sow discord between the people of Canada and the people of America, aiming to make them hate each other, so that he can then attack Canada and seize it. Trump admires Putin because, like Putin, he believes that the strong can do whatever they want, while the weak must obey! But what else would you expect from a country where slavery was once considered normal, from a country that exterminated millions or even billions of Indigenous people just to take their land? Of course, over time, things have changed — people have become smarter and started to value life — but Trump belongs to that ancient caste of Americans whose IQ is around 20–50...

Trumps own words, “Vote for me, you will never have to vote again!” \nThis one is showing up on several pages. Make up your own mind. \nThere is something rancid in America, a slow, creeping rot that smells like cold McDonald’s fries, aerosol hairspray, and the unmistakable musk of a country too sedated to recognize its own hostage situation. For years, the idea that Donald Trump was compromised by Russia was dismissed as paranoid fantasy—just another wild-eyed conspiracy theory, another overblown headline in the endless saga of American political dysfunction. \nBut now, two former Soviet intelligence officers—Alnur Mussayev and Yuri Shvets—are saying it outright: Trump was recruited by the KGB in 1987, groomed as an asset, and remains under Russian control to this day. \nAnd the worst part? He’s already back in the White House. \nThat’s right, America. You did it. You walked face-first into the banana peel of history, slipped, and fell straight into the arms of Vladimir Putin. Trump was kicked out in 2020, spent four years plotting his comeback, and now he’s returned, like a bloated, orange cockroach that just won’t die. The Kremlin’s favorite stooge is running the country again, and this time, he knows exactly how to stay in power. \nIf you think this is just another round of the Trump Show, you’re not paying attention. This isn’t politics anymore. This is treason. This is foreign subversion. This is a God forsaken coup in slow motion. \nLet’s break it down, nice and simple. \nAlnur Mussayev isn’t some Twitter conspiracy theorist with a tinfoil hat and a podcast. He’s the former head of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee, which means he knows exactly how Russian intelligence works—because he was part of the system. And what he’s saying should make every American’s blood run cold. \nAccording to Mussayev, Trump was identified, recruited, and compromised by the KGB in 1987 during his first trip to Moscow. They saw him for what he was: a narcissistic, greedy, attention-starved buffoon who could be easily manipulated. The KGB flattered him, promised him business deals, and planted the seeds of political ambition in his empty little head. And from that moment on, he was their man. \nBut Mussayev isn’t alone. Former KGB major Yuri Shvets said the exact same thing in 2021: Trump was cultivated by Soviet intelligence because he was an easy mark—too stupid to realize he was being played, too egotistical to care. They saw him as a useful idiot—a man who could one day be nudged into power, a walking, talking Trojan Horse for Russian interests. \nAnd now? The plan has worked. Trump spent four years in office weakening America from within, got booted out, and now he’s back for round two. \nIf you had told the American public in 1962 that a Soviet-backed asset would one day sit in the White House, they would have burned Washington to the ground before letting it happen. But today? Nobody seems to care. \nThe media treats this like just another wacky subplot in the never-ending Trump reality show. Congress is too busy fighting over meaningless culture war nonsense to do anything about it. And the American public? Exhausted. Numb. Checked out. Years of scandals—Russia collusion, Ukraine blackmail, classified documents, tax fraud, sexual assault, an attempted coup—have fried the country’s brain like an overcooked steak at Mar-a-Lago. \nTrump has done the impossible. He has committed so many crimes, so openly, so brazenly, that none of them matter anymore. \nAnd now, with Mussayev’s revelation that Trump is an active foreign asset, we have finally reached the point where the biggest political scandal in American history is met with a collective shrug. \nThis is how democracy dies—not with a bang, but with a goddamn eye-roll. \nThis is the part where the skeptics start clutching their pearls. “Oh, come on,” they say. “If Trump were really a Russian asset, wouldn’t there be more proof?” \nTo which I say: Are you blind, or just willfully stupid? \nLet’s go through the evidence, shall we? \nTrump spent his entire first term doing exactly what Russia wanted. He attacked NATO, calling it “obsolete” and threatening to pull the U.S. out. He tried to blackmail Ukraine into manufacturing dirt on Joe Biden, because weakening Ukraine helps one man and one man only: Vladimir Putin. He pulled U.S. troops out of Syria, handing power over to Russian forces. He picked fights with Canada and Europe while cozying up to dictators. \nEven now, in his second term, he is more openly pro-Putin than ever. He has made it clear that he will not protect NATO allies from Russian aggression. He is actively dismantling America’s alliances, just as Russia planned. And while Americans scream at each other over whether Target should sell rainbow t-shirts, Trump is quietly selling the country to the Kremlin. \nAt some point, you have to stop calling it a coincidence and start calling it what it is: treason. \nThe United States is running out of time. If Trump serves out this term without being removed, America as a functioning democracy is finished. \nThe media needs to wake up. Enough with the “Trump fatigue” excuse. This is not just another scandal—this is the single greatest infiltration of American power in history. Journalists need to dig into Mussayev’s claims, demand declassification of intelligence files, and treat this like the national emergency that it is. \nCongress needs to subpoena Mussayev immediately. His testimony must be public, and every document he has should be reviewed. If there is proof that Trump has been compromised since the 1980s, the American people need to know. \nThe Justice Department needs to stop pretending that Trump is just another politician. If there is evidence that the sitting president of the United States is working in Russia’s interests, he must be removed from office and prosecuted for espionage. \nAnd the American public? You have one last chance. This is not about Republican vs. Democrat. This is not about taxes, gas prices, or whatever nonsense outrage is dominating the news today. This is about whether the United States remains a sovereign nation, or if we spend the rest of the century as a Russian client state with a golf course. \nThe sheer volume of Trump's corruption, the blatant nature of his crimes, the mountain of evidence that should have ended his political career a hundred times over—none of it mattered. He survived it all, not because he was innocent, but because he drowned the country in so much scandal that nothing stuck. \nBut this time, it’s different. If Mussayev and Shvets are right, this isn’t just another chapter in the endless Trump circus. This is the culmination of a decades-long Russian intelligence operation to install an asset in the White House. \nThere is no coming back from this. If America lets Trump serve out this term without removing him, then the United States as a democratic republic is finished. The country won’t collapse overnight. There won’t be tanks in the streets. Instead, the destruction of democracy will happen in slow motion—buried under lawsuits, propaganda, and corruption so blatant that people stop caring. \nIf America lets this happen—if Trump is allowed to complete his mission—then Putin wins. The West crumbles. And the people who could have stopped it will look back, years from now, and wonder how they let it happen. \nGood night, and good luck. Because if people don’t wake up, America is going to sleepwalk straight into its own funeral.

US VOTER: “Uhhh, so you do this fella Trudeau is near the end of his term as Canada’s PM? I mean, if you all are done with him and all we could certainly use a guy like him in our executive branch “ ?? ??. \n BTW, I love Canadians. Hell, “ some of my best friends are Canadian.” None In the family of course-what would people say? But you know. This guy Trump is quite the hoser. How about you open up your borders just a pinch to let us sane Americans over? We don’t eat much and we’ll even pay for any medical expenses! Really we will. We’re use to it. How’s about like starting up an H1VFK visa. Yeah, you know-the Hey, I Voted For Kamala visa. Well, just think on it. You guys were there for us during Nam. You can do the human thing again. Cheers ?
2025-03-04 0
WOW Treudeu nailed it. Wish they just joined our European union. Imagine the strenght. Does Donald know how much American companies are in ireland alone. 25% tariff on Intel, google, meta etc .. or maybe we hit it were it hurts him most, his precious golf course. ???
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau has an air of decency and honesty about him that the orange emperor and his pet prat could never hope to aspire to. Trump is simply bad bad bad for all of us...except Putin of course!
2025-03-04 0
Something sinister is going on. This is a phoney war. Follow the money. Who benefits? Billionaires of course. Artificially disrupt and manipulate markets and make a killing. Then watch the tariff war come to an end. As usual it is the little guy who suffers.
2025-03-04 0
The reason for this is Trump wants industry back in the US, and as long as people buy things from outside of the US cheaper, that's not going to happen. Thus the tariffs. That's what they're for, protectionism. Why he pretends it won't be bad for americans or that they won't be paying more for products, I don't know. Perhaps his way of preparing people for bad times. Or the wishful thinking bit he swears to. Whatever. But what sane person would build up an industry predicated on Trump being consistent and willing to stay the course? An industry that would fall apart like it's 1920 the moment tariffs end? I predict noone.\n\nI have some experience with Clark, he was an insightful man during his command in Europe. It should be concerning when he can't see a reason for these actions, for cozying up to Putin and alienating allies. There's no end goal here that is in the US' interest. Trump's cabinet is not interested in this sort of thing, they are domestic dilettantes. There is no 4D chess. So what is the deal? Is it just his anger at Zelensky for not investigating Hunter Biden during the election? It seems... a bit too much for that, despite Trump being known as extremely spiteful.
2025-03-04 0
.... Well I'll tell you what Trudeau,.... None of us people wanted these tariffs either... At least not the people who are sane... I don't even think the people who voted for Donald Trump wanted these tariffs against the rest of the world either....I really don't understand the sense behind it because this is not going to make America greater.... It's going to destroy the economy of America and whatever the country it is that he poses these tariffs on... He thinks this is a strategy for getting what he wants... But I'll tell you what, he may be shocked and sadly mistaken when he finds out that it might just backfire ...this is a very conceited attempt to get the type of economic condition that he envisions for his new Dictatorship over America....he has alienated United States from its allies in Europe as well as its allies here at home.... This is probably about as dumb as his treatment of Volodimir Zelensky that just transpired on Friday at the oval office...and that idiot Vance is the one actually that has started that little debacle....I don't know man I thought these guys had more sense than to do this kind of shit.... But see this kind of situation is not going to affect him or his billionaire buddies because they have so much money they can cushion themselves until the cows come home....these assholes don't have nothing to worry about except the American people finding an emergency way of getting his ass out of office unless he changes course on all of this... I don't know if he can be impeached or not... But it might be a smart thing to find out if it IS possible.... AND EVEN IF IT IS WE STILL HAVE HIS SITTING REPLACEMENTS STILL IN OFFICE AS WELL SO I DON'T SEE THIS GOING AWAY WITHIN THE NEXT 4 YEARS UNLESS HE COMES BACK TO HIS SENSES, AND POSSIBLY GOES TO A DOCTOR AND HAVE HIS HEAD CHECKED....\nDTheMadkat123\nFrom a borrowed phone \n....the only thing I really do support that he is doing is securing the border and dealing with immigration issues here.... That's it that's all I was hoping that he would really focus on being in the oval office, and possibly standing by Ukraine, and Israel during these evil days.... Buddying up to Putin is like the single most insane thing that has come from this as well..I just hope and pray that he comes back to his senses and backtracks on all of this shit.... Besides I like Canada House whiskey, and Canada Dry Ginger ale, and other products from Canada.... Stand strong Canadians, I love you all, and I hope we can make it through these tough times ahead...but obviously the road that we're traveling now there really is no guarantees is there ?? Lady can you shut the hell up and go back to what Trudeau is saying ??
2025-03-04 0
Hey shit. One has no comparisons with each other.\n\nYou though are a cook and have been stealing from your Canadian citizens and you expect the United States to except your high triff. \nCanada needs to become United States of America 51st state!!! \nOf course you would be removed from office so that we could actually grow together and be the strongest.
2025-03-04 0
Donald is not a smart guy, (you’re being diplomatic, )he’s dumb and dumber for doing this and it will show very soon the consequences of his actions. Trouble is, he doesn’t do anything if he’s wrong he just doubles down, he doesn’t take any responsibility even if he’s the one that causes it. Good on you, Mr. Trudeau, Americans, love Canada and Canadians, but Donald is not who the United States is about. He’s a traitor and of course a felon, Conman, hrapist. He is the one that we shouldn’t let in our country, especially to the presidency of the United States.
2025-03-04 0
Of course this is on DNN. I mean CNN
2025-03-04 0
Look at all the comments of everyone on here that have no idea about politics or finances. I am pretty sure he put in his resignation because he failed canada and its people. But hey we have Americans on here complaining and of course caring about another country rather than their own.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is using liberal talking points and fear mongering, as an AMERICAN I stick with my President…. It’s just talking points, but of course we have those who will buy into all the bs he’s spewing, he’s no better than a progressive liberal.

Of course Mexico isnt doing enough abou Fentanyl, Mexico is one of the most corrupt goverments, actually Narco Goverment .
2025-03-04 0
Trump is thinking way beyond a trade war…it is way more destructive…..prepare to stay the course…for ALL …that this despicable act brings…never never ever give up. Appeasement only makes the aggressor stronger. Apparently this what the American people voted for???
2025-03-04 0
Of course it's not about Fentanyl. It's about eliminating the income tax. The GOP wants to reinstate the economic policies that existed before the Civil War. The first federal income tax existed from 1861 to 1872. 41 years after it was repealed, the IRS was created and the current federal income tax went into effect. Prior to the collection of federal income taxes, the US government paid its bills with revenue from import tarriffs.
2025-03-04 0
With thos tarrifs war, Trump does typical populistic move. He creates problem, which he will successfully remove in few months, to show American people that he removes tarrifs created by other countries and he is the first to stop tarrif war. He will of course deny that he was first.
2025-03-04 0
Of course CNN won't fo sny actual journalism here. Government is prorogued, meaning no bills can be cancelled like our absurd carbon tax hikes set to go up, no bills can be created, no real work federally can be done. Election now! Fk CNN \n#Prestitutes
2025-03-04 0
Trump isn't interested in 'America first', he is only interested in 'Trump first' as he has always been.\nThere is of course a hidden agenda with him sucking up to Russia.
2025-03-04 0
I think the world of good and democratic people should join together against this tyrannical autocratic and completely lying government of the USA find other trade and manufacturing partners- mineral rights of Ukraine to Canada and Europe…. This mr. trump is ruining our lives - and of course - I did not vote for him….
2025-03-04 0
What a speech! ??What a delight to hear an experienced, intelligent and eloquent Prime minister speak!?! Does this information reach the Americans? Republicans? MAGA? Do they understand this? Oh dear, what a mess! We stand with Canada, Mexico and of course: UKRAINE!! Greetings from Germany.
2025-03-04 0
Canadian here. My husband and I listen at you here on CNN Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and we couldn't be more proud of you and your team. You say intelligent words right from the start and you deliver a strong message in a very strong manner, beginning with this: the US is declaring economic war on Canada, as well as strong arguments, and that fentanyl is just a pretext, which we all already know, that getting closer to Russia and cutting ties with its allies is Donald Trump's current course of action, and the fair question to ask is why is this man putting himself at the service of the Kremlin which is totally unnatural for an American.?
2025-03-04 0
All you have to do is send someone there who is intelligent who can make proper negotiations. There is no war going on, but of course that makes you sound important.
2025-03-04 0
Canadian Prime Minister doesn't bullshit us he speaks the truth \nOf course Trump is buddy with Puntin... Will put the USA as enemy of the world ?. Trump is incapable of speaking the truth.... It's a dangerous man for the survival of the USA
2025-03-04 0
Starts out with a lie.\n\nTrudeau of course doesn't mention the tariffs he's had on US goods for decades.
2025-03-04 0
Of course you don't. We buy far more from you then you do from us. Your economy depends on us. But since you don't buy from us the same. It hurts you not us
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is far from perfect. He has done some stupid stuff during his time as PM and before he was PM. But I will never doubt his love for Canada and appreciate him standing up to the Trump Administration. Yes, of course he has a speech writer. But so does the president and well, one is articulate and the other is a blabbering idiot. I'll let you decide which is which. Hint: the one speaking here is the articulate one. ?
2025-03-04 0
What the vast majority of people imagined was that the day the United States went to war, it would be with its worst enemies, Russia, Iran, North Korea. Almost no one imagined that the United States would declare war on friendly countries and trading partners. Of course, it is a trade war, but it could escalate into something much worse. Nothing should be ruled out, we have already seen that anything can be expected from Trump and his entourage.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is playing chess and you’re playing checkers. What you’re doing is no surprise, of course Canada would do reverse Tariffs. We’re ready to bring more manuf back to the USA.
2025-03-04 0
I think there’s a lot happening behind the curtain that we don’t know. Of course the media will demonize Trump as they hate him and the entire media is for the left. Let’s wait and see, the truth always comes to the surface ??
2025-03-04 0
The American people are on Trumps side. You can send your kids to war little Mr. Trudeau. Of course your own kids would never go. We will survive without any damn thing you’ve got hide and watch!!
2025-03-04 0
Shame on Trump but of course he doesn't have any. The man is destroying this country and it's amazing how many people voted for him and put him in a position to do it. Y'all still think he is going to lower prices?
2025-03-04 0
Bahahahahaha im not going to even watch this clownn gk him and the ppl who abide by “buy made in canada” hahaha what the fk has he done for every Canadian???!!! Ask urself that?? Killed and tried to kill pp. don’t listen to this corrupt clown omg wakeup canada. Lmao of course he doesn’t want this!!!! Why would he , he being exposed!! Omg whatever bloody circus
2025-03-04 0
As a Canadian.... screw this clown. Trudeau is a useless lame duck. He has announced his resignation and has no mandate whatsoever to represent us. You call a man names for 8 years, and there are going to be consequences you fool. Of course this isn't about fentanyl. You've prodded a bully and now that bully is responding like bullies do. \nA Canadian election can't possibly come soon enough.
2025-03-04 0
Great, unambiguous words by the Canadian president! But one of his remarks stood out: he said that the tyrants want to divide us. He is correct, of course. But the implications are profound! This means that Trudeau himself is measuring his words and deliberately using diplomatic language. He even says that Trump is “intelligent”, which only plays into the imbecile’s unfortunate NPD psychology! The unwillingness to stand strong against American tyranny is harming democracy worldwide! Force Trump to declare a side! And make him choose Putin or democracy NOW!! If you fail to do that, you are taking the path of accommodation, and if Trump is really a tyrant (which he surely is, because of MANY evidences!!), democratic countries weaken their position by not standing strong NOW. If Europe and Canada and Mexico ban Tesla imports and place 50% tariffs on tens of billions of dollars of American products, what would happen? Are these countries AFRAID of the United States? This is not the time for fear! This is the time for courage! Boycott!!!
