Immigrants life is tough. No-one wish to be away from our own country and face all this shit. All hardwork n patience we maintain for money, which is not sufficient or wel paid in our place unfortunately ?

I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

immigrants are the reason this country went to shit.. house prices, rent prices, crime, over saturated job markets, a decline in our culture and language. The problem is real canadians dont have another country to return to.

This is very true. I am an Austrian citizen that tried to immigrate into Canada from 2021-2023, I worked my ass off, working 2 jobs for most of my stay and living as cheaply as possible. I still burned through all my savings and a significant amount of money my family sent me to help out. I had an accident and waited for hours for an ambulance to show up, they transported me to a different city because in this town none of the two hospitals had a fucking X-Ray machine. Then the next morning the hospital in the other city kicked me out again, with a fucked up back, because there were no beds available. Had to call my neighbours to come pick me up again (thank you Tracy, love you) because I couldn't get home anymore. Lost one of my jobs thanks to this and started a different one, couldn't afford live in BC anymore and moved to Winnipeg because I heard live there is cheaper. It is, but not significantly so, but you pay for this by living in terrible conditions. Rent was still high, salary was shit, the public transport system is.... Existent but not reliable and the city is so incredibly dirty. There's garbage everywhere. Between my apartment and the nearest dollar store was one garbage can and that was a 20-30 minute walk, here in Vienna there's garbage cans everywhere and thanks to them the city is cleaner. \n\nAnyways, I gave up on moving to Canada and came home. Still dealing with my fucked up back (though it's getting better thanks to Physio and a good doctor) and the debt I accrued in the last few years. But my apartment costs less than half for the same size, my job earns me significantly more money, my phone plan is better and costs less than half and the food is both much much cheaper and much much better. \n\nI am happy with life now. Thank you Canada for showing me how bad even other parts of the developed world are, I really learned to appreciate Austria while I was away.

Getting ill causing a month long stay in the ICU left me homeless as living paycheck to paycheck causes once the cheques stop , I was placed in a Toronto homeless shelter 3 years ago and I can tell you that African refugees enter a shelter and no more than 3 weeks later are housed usually 5 at a time all Getting a fully paid market value 1 bedroom apartment average price $2,600 monthly that with a monthly welfare cheque and free food dental medical prescriptions clothing WIN WIN WIN the Canadian born homeless shelter residents get put on a 38,000 name waiting list for Ontario's drug infested housing ghettos the Africans are being housed under a kept secret program called COHB secret from us Canadian homeless that is and I've witnessed this now at 5 different shelters I've been in, having befriended one of the African migrants who is a little unstable drinking alcohol and smoking pot so he hasn't been housed but he has shown me the paper work that has been housing his fellow illegal immigrants and I say illegal because they all came as visitors only to claim asylum as soon as they land he also told me they all borrow the money for their plane tickets from a gang who once they land and start instantly getting welfare have to send half the proceeds back to this gang in Africa for the next two years , in this shelter donated clothing comes in everyday and two African shelter residents fold and sort the clothing taking all the name brand clothes what they didn't hand out to the other Africans they walk to the post office and ship it back to Africa I'm not making this shit up after we complained to staff which also happen to be made up from the Africans themselves yes they've hired wolves to watch over the other wolves so they now aren't walking out the front door everyday with garbage bags full of clothes at least not in front of our eyes DON'T CALL ME RACIST I know that's the go to word when this insanity is made public , what do you think is the first thing these Africans do when they walk into their free apartment? Make phone calls back to the friends they left in Africa saying Get on the next plane to Canada free apartment free food free clothing free medication free dental and free money every month Canadians need not apply

Canada has been ruined by immigration but to be more specific Indians, they are everywhere, in PEI every single service industry job has been taken over by them and so a stigma is created working in fast food, gas stations, ect. I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. And not to lie I look old Canadian so I fit right in English is my first language and all that. And funnily enough it was the first time in my life where I could say fucking immigrants. It's a brutal place a brutal work climate and well there's a lot that's nice but when it's bad it's dog ear dog. These are the major problems in Canada that are greatly amplified and visible in the bigger metro areas:\n\n- Loss of economic opportunity due to the disastrous Liberal government policies of Justin Trudeau, with all the known bad social consequences.\n\n- Out of control immigration. Impossible for a country to absorb that many immigrants in a short period of time to make them productive and pay into the system.\n\n-Rampant and oppressive woke culture. If you disagree with it, you’re labeled anything from racist to transphobic. \n\n-Permissive liberal policies with drug abuse and mental illnesses.\n\n-Spineless Conservative politicians. This is changing, but boy is it taking long.\n\n-Canadian complacency and self-imposed politeness. The worst traits we have as a country. All of those issues are the same in any OCDE country. \n\nHousing market is shit in Europe too, even worse I would say, but at least they have decent public transports, so you can live outside a city and still go to your work fast. That’s the only real advantage. My neighborhood had a big influx of immigrants moving in and I can see the difference they brought, they never cut grass, leave garbage out on lawn, they use the creeks as their own waste dump they give off looks at you like you're a problem in your own country, they stare in a very creepy manor at women, I had one stand at the end of my driveway and film my house, like just weird shit all the time. It's a shit-hole actually, unless you have the significant wealth to live behind the iron gates of the Bridle Path, Forest Hill or Rosedale. \nSecondly, the increase in crime is a direct correlation to unfettered and unchecked immigration policies of Liberal socialist governments who continually keep the flood gates open for the undesirable and criminal elements who bring their mentality from off-shore. \nThirdly, the lack of public resources for those suffering from mental health issues is a direct correlation to the disastrous policies in the 1970's of closing of virtually every institution in Canada who dealt with those who needed help. We were told the institutions were trampling on the rights and freedoms these Canadians. Today, there is simply no where for those to turn for help. And politicians of every stripe don't want to touch the issue with a 10-foot pole. Have a look at Vancouver's Downtown East Side - it is an apocalypse of a horrible social experiment gone wrong. It would be a problem for the US but Canada is the richest country on earth that is the worst run. I used to dream of moving there but no thanks, owning a home is impossible, too many immigrants, shit wages compared to the US. And many more things.
