Mr, Trudeau prime minister, I am glad that you are standing up to trump do what is right for your country do not allow this, man child trump push you around, stand up take a stand do what is right what is just, your people who voted for you deserve it, show the world ?? that integrity, honestly and the rule of law still matters, let the world see trump for what he is, and I say to the other leaders do not be afraid to do the right thing, a good leader loves his people a good leader protects it's people , silence ? at this point in time is not acceptable, when you see tyranny speak up i asked my father ounce what makes a man, i could see in his face that he was thinking about this question very hard and he turned and looked at me and said, a man will stand up for what he believes in,no matter the price, and a real man will always protect those that can't protect themselves, for this is the mark of a real man and gentleman, i have never forgotten those words that he spoke to me, and I believe that this saying also has religious implication as well, after everything is said and done it's not the voters that are going to judge you in the end it's god and he is going to judge you on his standards not MAGA

As a Canadian, even though I have disagreements with our Prime Minister, he is OUR Prime Minister, and I am glad he is so clearly and strongly saying to the US government and US citizens that we are done playing around. We will pull together, as a country, and come out of this stronger. We are willing to take on short-temp pain to work towards finding new markets and diversifying our trade relationships. The Canadian economy is in a stronger position to survive and recover from a trade war than the US. The US Government in general has destroyed one of the most successful and positive economic and social partnerships in the world and neither Canadians, nor the rest of the world are going to forgive and forget.

Canadian here and i was just hoping he wasn't gonna just roll over to Trump and I'm so glad he didn't nor do I understand him claiming we're the ones bringing the fent. I knew that was bulls**t. I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. I am glad that finally this happened cause sometimes you need a slap on face to wake up from a cozy bogus dream. Yes it will be painful few years for Canada but when time will come for fresh water and Arctic resources, it will be payback time to US. Forget US and start shipping products to Europe, China and India. Make pacts and create meaningful relationships and let US do whatever they feel like doing because ultimately Canada is the 2nd biggest landmass in the world, 3rd biggest supply of oil, 5th biggest supply of natural gas, 1st in the world for supply of potash and uranium, If you include Great lakes then it has 4 coasts that can tie them with water so great opportunity to create best ports, 1st in natural source of water and 5th biggest agricultral landmass. Then why bother and put your energy into someone who don't care. Let US do whatever they like and forget about them. Just don't go to US and don't deal with US.

As a businessman, Trump was using Fentanyl crisis as a lame excuse. No matter how much fentanyl is controlled across borders he was still guaranteed in imposing the 25% trade tariff. \nCanada govt invested so much into the border security recently and visited multiple times in Washington to discuss this 25% trade tariff but all of them forgot that Trump is a very aggressive and stubborn when it comes to money!\n\nI am glad Trump has made Canada and even Trudeau bold and self dependent now!

I feel sick, sad, angry, and scared with everything going on right now. As a veteran, my heart is absolutely broken.\n\nWe're stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. The MAGA refuse to see or believe what's going on. They've been 100% brainwashed. The people in our government who can do something are standing back and laughing us off. It's very surreal. And very few of us have been able to save up enough to move. And moving to another country is incredibly expensive and difficult.\n\nI did not vote for Trump. Many didn't. Those who did are too proud to admit that what's going on is wrong. So long as it punishes people who think differently than them, they're glad to cut off their own arms to do so.
