I am an Indian, came here for ML research. Was unpleasantly surprised to witness so many unskilled Indians ruining the country. Uneducated, can't speak English, rude, unkempt. Like I love my country but I also love the country I immigrated to. I know tons of Indian friends like me who feel the same way. We all feel like we scammed ourselves into coming here. Every doordash and uber guy in Toronto is an Indian guy, who probably came here through a diploma mill. Why did Canada let this happen? Weirdly enough, even now, it's easier to get into Canada as a Khalistani terrorist or an LMIA abuser with a fake IELTS score and fake college admission letter than honest Indians who come here for higher education at good schools. Anyone reading this and from India, just go to the US man. At least despite the H1B lottery they respect your time more than Canada and you earn way more in 2-3 years than you would here in 6 years.\n\nPs : I singled out Indians since I am one but Palestinian refugees with their never ending incessant virtue signalling marches, Ukrainians with their virtue signalling marches and destruction of property, middle eastern refugees etc are all part of the problem. It's like they came here to bring their problems with them.

Lower prices?! Of course that would be nice. Economically speaking, that means that a vast number of people want deflation. It could work in an economy not dependent on excess and consumerism, but the US economy is propped up on speculation and buying out of want rather than need. Deflation is considered an economic failure in this country. We target 2% inflation for fear that without it, people will buy less now and then there will be a downward correction on output and then jobs. \nIn any case, broad tariffs won’t be the answer to lower prices. A global economy is an efficient one, but often unfair or unkind in specific localities. The US has benefited from globalization and low cost labor elsewhere for decades. But the pendulum swung too far and now many Americans are feeling left behind. Tariffs could bring back jobs but on a 5 to 10 year timeline, not one 4-year presidential term, much less in a year.

It feels so foolish to keep trying bandaid solutions that harm the US labor pool. There's a couple of things I keep thinking about in regards to this. \n\n1. Most developed countries on earth are in the midst of or are preparing to deal with population crisis and depopulation. Strong immigration to the US stems this issue and is actually a huge advantage to the power and continuing visibility of the USA.\n\n2. Deportation and border control strike at the effect of immigration and leave the cause unharmed. People come to the USA because there's opportunities here, so why not make opportunities abroad?\n\nIf the USA were to remove benefits of dealing with china while offering massive incentives for moving manufacturing away from china directly to Latin America, not only would we be countering our Chinese dependency but we would also provide jobs at home and stem immigration. Not only that, but the businesses would be American and be controlled by Americans - a huge incentive to stay friendly to the USA.\n\nI don't know, just seems like our current policy and especially what Trump is suggesting are counter productive and stuck in a bygone way of thinking.

If I had money, I would go for fashion, private labels, etc. The fashion world is changing so fast, and knockoffs allow me to change my style frequently and keep up with the trends. kislux completely meets my needs. It makes me feel very satisfied and I love it.

I love Americans. Although that's a general statement and just like Canada, there are jerks there just like here, for the most part I get along great with them. There are pros and cons to living in Canada and the U.S., For the most part, I believe Canada is the superior country. We have a superior healthcare system, superior banking system, superior snacks, and superior safety. However, Trudeau is killing that. He's destroyed our country to the point that one more term, and it may well be expedient to move to the USA. He's destroying our economy, our values, our culture. We have the resources to top the USA in every way, but we've never had leadership to make that happen. The U.S. has a superior economy, retail, and military. Although some may argue that the USA has superior freedoms, I'm not sure I agree with that. I know I don't feel freer when I travel there. I will definitely travel to the U.S. again. I have lots of friends there who I love and would love to see. However, it will take more Trudeau for me to want to move there. Since it looks like he's on the way out, I better just stay put at least for now.

Come to Surrey BC! I've lived here all my life, and live about 7km's from the house I was brought home as a baby, so I've never left this city, and I, like that gentleman and lady you talked to, often feel like I am the only Caucasian in Surrey! Go by any elementary school, and you'd find it difficult to see any hair colour than straight black! Like when I went to school, so many now are driven to school by parents or grandparents that where brought over to Canada as well, so traffic around schools very often is chaotic at best! The once peaceful sound of birds singing, is now taken up with sirens, from ambulance and fire trucks, it's hideous! I too would love to move, but we keep asking, 'where'...as we'd like to be in an area with just caucasians, to feel 'at home' again! It's not that I don't like the people, but most in Surrey, are much more well off than the average Canadian, driving high end cars, and even their teenage kids have high end vehicles. So, like many Canadians, I'd just like to see normalcy & common sense once again, and a complete end to immigration, until ALL of our crisis's are taken care of!

I'm Hispanic, 3rd gen American. My great grandparents were born in Mexico, my grandparents were born in Texas in the 1920s. Anyway, I grew up an hour from the Mexican border. I don't know any family that lives in Mexico. IDK why these media pundits feel that because I'm Hispanic, I would want an open border. I'm as American as anyone else. I know a lot of orchard owners that are going to be just as screwed as they were during Covid, when they didn’t have the labor to get the fruit picked!! The \nPeople who have been coming here have been doing it for years!! The economy will suffer seriously with their loss!! The pickers go home each year, but they buy groceries, gas, fast food and you would be amazed at the amount of older vehicles that get sold at the end of the picking season!! But the local people don’t apply for the jobs in the orchards or even in the packing plants!! They feel that is beneath them and it doesn’t pay enough! just deceived by a new Indian immigrant, and it feels terrible. About 10 days ago, I posted an advertisement for a parking spot rental in front of my apartment condo. I then received a call from someone who said he had just moved here from India and needed a parking spot. I explained that parking spots here are rented on a monthly basis. He said that was fine, but he wanted to first pay only for the days from October 24 to October 31, and then he would pay for the following month. I thought that was acceptable, so I agreed.However, on October 31, he didn’t make the payment as expected. When I asked, he said he would pay on November 1. The next day, when I hadn’t received the payment, I followed up, and he promised to pay the following morning. By noon on November 2, I still hadn’t received the payment, so I messaged him again, but he didn’t respond. It was only later in the evening when he finally replied, saying he no longer needed the parking spot and that I could rent it to someone else. Then i asked how to deal with the rest of the payment of these days for the parking he already used, no reply anymore. At that moment, I really felt deceived. Why so much like getting smart with others?

What is she talking about?! Hours and days standing in line for a green card?! The whole process takes 2-3 years of waiting. This is bizarre, is this lady lying??? How the heck did she stand in a line for a few hours or days ??‍♀️ and get a green card, was the immigration policy different when she applied?\n\nI imagine this woman hasn’t gotten along with her family far before she became a trumper, I don’t know if she would care if her family got deported before she became a red hat, it seems like joining the Trump effort helps her feel a sense of belonging and justify her dislike of her family. I heard on my visit to Canada earlier this year for vacation the same thing, BUT you talked to Canadians who were obviously unemployed/with no skills and homeless (at least it seemed like that, my apologies if that was not the case. All immigrants should respect the local law and do not impose their culture in adopted land. I believe that Indians come to Brampton because they find their own kind of people there and feel that they will not feel any racism, mind you it happens everywhere. Racism in parts of Canada is very much there. \nI stayed in Toronto with a friend and noticed almost 99% of tenants there were chinese, and no one was speaking English. Would like you to interview there as well.

I don't believe that we should deport anyone. When you are here that is it your here. But I also understand that an over crowded country would cause hard feelings.

That old lady is absolutely and outright lying. First off, she stood in lines for hour or days to get her green card? That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Now, immigration takes forever, many years in fact, because the older republican white generation figured out that they yet again the minority, which has never actually changed. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. She became a racist just like the republicans and her family should be ashamed of her. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. She is an abomination and one of the reasons this country has lost itself, if a Mexican immigrant cannot feel sympathy or empathy for those people in a very similar situation than that person has truly been corrupted by the republicans “all about me” mantra.

They worry about job competition, about religious fanatics clashing, and about how their way of life might change.\n\nI know this dream may sound foolish to some, but I believe nothing is impossible if both sides truly want it. History shows that countries have overcome their divisions.\n\nI don't know why, but I just wanted to share these thoughts. I know I shouldn't say this but every time I go to Calgary NE Costco, I feel like I was in another country. Many of them would randomly stop in a middle of moving traffic or cut into my path regardless of my existence... I feel I need to constantly dodge in order to avoid collisions. I am an immigrant too but I always observe my surroundings and try not to cause others to slow down because of me. If I need to take a break or stop, I park my cart in a non-busy spot... these should be common sense which is what the people are severely lacking in my opinion.

TBH she looked sad and lonely, this was cute ( i felt) , could have easily won by being sweet to her and giving her a big hug. Invite her for walks and talks and dinners and she would change her perspective . Old people are really helpless and docile . I feel sympathy for them. All they just need is a good company.

So many Indians in Canada . If millions of Canadians come to India and settle here , how would we feel ?

Even I feel why Indians have to migrate. Live a respectable life back home instead of making people outside uncomfortable in there on land. Nobody like there population dynamics changing in front of there eyes. \n\nI can see in India. Indians do not like seeing Nigerians around them, they they do no rent there homes to them. Basically these immigrants are getting taste of their own medicine. I would suggest shut up live low life or come back home.

No hate!! But U thing I would like to tell is that now most of Indian's (Settled abroad) can now understand what exactly a Bihari feels. Everytime a bihari visits a new state he has to face such things like an outsider same thing is done with Indian Abroad! Remember The way Indian's treat Bihari is same as Foreigners treat Indian ?\nThe local people usually say that the Bihari are settling here this is concerning they might steal our job this and that.\nAnd when the same thing will happen to them abroad they'll cry for it??.\nThe foreigners treat Indians the same way as Indian's treat Biharis. \nForeigners would feel the same when the population of Indian immigrants will increase it will be concerning for any citizen why to cry for it?

A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. It's hard for everybody out there, i'm just one of the millions if not billions who go through that.\n\nAlso I don’t think ‘nobody wants to live in Canada’ is entirely accurate. It seems that the idea of canada, and the way its marketed, attracts a lot of new immigrants, and a lot of people would love a chance to live in Canada. It's simply not true. But after the fact , once they have , i could believe that some are not willing to stay and might regret the decision of moving in the first place.

They are buying up entire subdivisions and businesses. There is not one Subway in London that is not Indian run and if you order any food or package it is guaranteed an Indian is delivering it. And when they buy these businesses they change the food menus to better suit their tastes and Only hire other Indians. If white people did that it would be considered racism and highly illegal. \nThey also go out in large groups of only young men, of course, and do not care about our culture whatsoever and are entitled and Extremely rude. I guess they feel they Can be like this because they will soon outnumber Canadian born citizens. \nIt’s a disgrace that the Canadian government has Sold Out Canada and our Canadian values. \nI’m sure in time we will no longer Be Canada, they will change the name appropriately to India 2.

I like and respect so many individual Indians, but governments are using people from India as if they are stacks of timber to make a profit off of and they're flooding into Western communities in larger numbers. As an indian living in Dubai. If I feel a place was overcrowded- I would leave, but for some indians its not the same and its quite sad some politicians thinking a densely populated city full of jobless people is okay. Its kind of the opposite reason why indians move to canada(because most of us dont like overecrowded cities-which tends to happen in india). The amoumt of jobs need to increase. The infrastructure needs to increase. Colleges and schools where people actually pay for all of it is necessary. And homelessness needs to be replace by education and housing policies for older canadians especially. Preserving the respect for the elderly. The list goes on- and yes it will increase the amount of jobs, if they build and educate. Also increase the incentive to be educated.
