I have lived in Canada for almost 50 years.. The United States of America has been our closest neighbour and friend ever since I came here.. \nLong before I came here Canada and the US were partners… \nWe relied on each other, we supported each other and we profited from each other..\nLet me make it perfectly clear I consider myself Canadian and I love the Americans like they were my own brothers and sisters.. \nAlso let it be known that our government does not speak for the citizens of this country… \nWe are being forced by the government to follow the rules. And now our government wants the American people to believe that all Canadians are against them. \nThat couldn’t be any further from the truth. \nI can’t say every single Canadian has respect for the Americans, but I myself respect America and honour Canada.. \nAs a true Canadian, we stand on guard for both countries.. God bless America…

Did they MAGA? No, so let's move forward from this, America! We ALL need to agree to be American 1st. Our safety is at serious risk, but we can still get the train back on track, if Congress can ALL agree to put America before any other internal disagreement. If The SCOTUS and the Judicial System will do the same. It isn't too late, YET. I hope Canada doesn’t think we agree with Trumps ideas in any way. We should be working together with our fellow countries and standing proud.

Terriffs are nothing new though. I think it's insane that America's have to consistently payout our tax dollars to other countries. The President is wanting these other countries to step up to the plate and do their part. It's okay for them to let cartels and fentanal come into our countries and kill Americans by the masses. I am Canadian and I am envious of Americans because you have a leader who can stand for you guys, Canada’s economy has been suffering with his leadership even before Trump was elected but he is supporting /funding war , giving out tax payers to refugees he has been bringing who don’t contribute to tax. Hear him more concerned to Americans as opposed to announcing to us Canadians what is his plan for Canada to address tariff! Let USA do their thing , improve your leadership and don’t rely on other countries plans/decisions, unfortunately we are affected but it’s your job to make strategies of how you would address that. Well said. I will never understand how Trump and the entire Republican Party turned against our country and our allies, and aligned themselves with a murderous Russian dictator. I don’t know how anyone could grow up in the United States of America and so completely turn their backs on the Constitution, and the laws and values we stand for. I am confused. I am scared. I am angry. But mostly, I am ashamed to be living in Trump’s America.

Not only is Donald Trump an overly privileged, pathetic, whiney crybaby who literally folds his arms, stomps his feet, and launches an all out temper tantrum whenever he doesn't get his way or when someone else has the TV remote, he is a dangerously delusional, high stakes risk taker who wouldn't think twice about using his own mother or child as a human body shield if he thought his life were in danger. There is absolutely no value, principle, moral or ethic he wouldn't betray without hesitation if he suspects there is anything at all to be gained - you know, the type of guy who would poison the entire neighborhood in order to hoard all the complimentary tampons and lip gloss samples from his neighbors' mail boxes just to ensure that he got first dibs on everything before anyone else. Incidentally, he is also the same type of guy who pockets all the flavored mini coffee creamers from the gas station and all the paper bed sheets and Qtips from the doctor's office. I wouldn't put it past him to steal the waitresses' tips off tabletops on his way out the door upon leaving McDonald's. In fact, I would bet everything that he steals the donation jars for Jerry's Kids at the local supermarket. I mean, its already a given that he is likely the guy who filed a lawsuit a few summers back against a sweet, innocent littls FOUR year old boy for having a lemonade stand on property not zoned for commercial use. If it wasn't Trump then I'm sure it's only because he was too busy ordering the National Guard to power hose and pepper spray the 30 or so elderly nuns who had been distributing bottled water to folks demonstrating in support of Black Lives Matter on the hottest day of the year. Satisfied in his victorious battle against the nuns - 9 of whom had been hospitalized for critical injuries including the 92 year old Mother Superior who suffered massive brain bleed, swelling and concussion due to the excessive force of the power hose and an 87 year old nun who lost permanent sight in one eye due to the pepper spray - Trump had the nerve to pose for a publicity shot in front of the church while holding a Bible - UPSIDE DOWN - and scrunching and contorting his face into that hideous trademark scowl he does ever so naturally. Yep. This is the man my fellow Americans chose to represent our nation as President - a man who beats up 90 year old nuns and imposes 25% tax hikes to our ONLY FRIEND in the entire world simply for refusing to accept his invitation for statehood. I mean, come on, Trudeau, is that really asking too much of you? Was it really worth bruising Donny's fragile little ego and sending him into a fit of rage? Imagine voting for Trump over inflation while he was saying he would use tariffs and people thinking it wouldn't affect them. So naive. Trump is an agent of chaos who is anathema to everything this country stands for, and it's self-evident by his actions. We are a country who is strong because of our friends around the world and no one will trust this country when we keep putting an idiot in office who doesn't honor former president's agreements. You can't work with a country who won't stick to it's agreements. You wouldn't tolerate a friend like that, and this is the same thing on a macro level.

Have just watched “Newsnight” in the U.K. where Melanie Joli was being interviewed. One very very impressive lady - she didn’t pull any punches and said just how it is.
