I would like to provide a background to all the native Canadians who are wondering why the East Indian population is growing in Canada they are lot of education consultants back in India who market Canada as a lucrative country to immigrate brownie points for studying to get PR free healthcare free education till grade 12 so everyone is trying their best to come to Canada on a student visa.Once students come on a student visa they need to work 20 hours a week which they are legally allowed to work on international student visa so locals feel they are taking their jobs In US international students are only allowed to work on campus despite so many job opportunities.Colleges in Canada charge 4-5 times tuition which is profitable to the education industry and provincial government.Once these students Graduate they get open work permit where they can gain Canadian work experience and apply for PR and citizenship eventually.All this benefits the government and the educational institutions overall in terms of taxes and revenue..

Even tho most Canadians in the earlier years were mostly white, it was multicultural because they all came from many other countries and cultures. They still held on to their traditions but yet also formed a Canadian culture.\nTheir was a huge population of Chinese people too. They stuck together in large areas, many didn't speak english. Similar to Quebec maybe. They mostly spoke french and I remember a time when they didn't really like english speaking whites around. Seems like the premier would like it to stay that way. Protecting the culture. \nIn the 80's on the west coast I watched thousands of Sikh's and Punjabi's and similar move into large areas and take over many jobs in large companies. Lumber mills, rail yards, papermills and so on. I went to one job interview and outside the office window was a whole shift of people wearing turbans. Must have been 50 to a 100 of them. 3 years earlier when I toured that place in grade 12, it was all white people. What happened? That was around the time of the recession and jobs were getting scarce. The only people in line for job interviews were white people and the interviewers would not accept anyone without grade 12 and previous experience. Here is what I overheard as people were getting interviewed, Experience? No. NEXT. Experience? Yes. Graduate? No. NEXT!\nAfter 6 months of this I moved to oil country Alberta and Had 6 job call backs in the first day. At 2 to 3 times the pay I would have had in BC. Never looked back. But now that the industry has been attacked and the immigration has skyrocketed, Alberta is in decline.\nJust my 2 cents worth, and the people I mentioned back then, I have nothing against. I knew many and they were good people. \nBut the immigrants of today I feel to many are of another breed and not the same as before them.

I’ve said that many times in Ontario , I don’t feel I’m in my own country , when you go in stores many working there aren’t friendly , don’t acknowledge you speak over the PA. You can’t understand them when calling to work on tails are on the floor.. immigrants having taken over our country even on the streets , they don’t adapt to our country laws or way of living , it’s like being in the twilight zone . I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

I think the country is still in recovery mode from Covid and may take several more years to get back to where it was. On rent you are correct. Over populating major cities with immigrants has caused a housing crisis especially with greedy landlords gauging people.\n\nI've been here 22 years and would not go back to the UK. My hometown is a total dump now.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I think that will help

I feel like moving as a lifelong Canadian. I love people and love culture. I don't like extremists. \n\nMy problem is simply I don't our government is ethical nor caring to it's citizens, and as far as immigrants go, I am absolutely all for it with a reasonable rate without displacement or a negative sum on people that have built families here already. You can't just say we want to help and not give one thought about implications whatsoever. \n\nWhere I live you can't add thousands of people without thinking about making roards wider or more busses.\n\nWe don't look like idiots, we are. Let's welcome a host of new beautiful people into out country and not have a single plan in place besides pay for their housing (not necessarily bad), pay for their transportation (not necessarily bad), and allow a rent bubble to put our welcoming citizens with Trades to live in tents.\n\nHow about this as a sane alternative, the billions of dollars in road tax from gas prices which hasn't improved the roads, and the billions from legalized gambling...how about we audit our government and take a hard and difficult look as to where all this tax money goes, and more importantly the detailed justification? \n\nSame thing, same day. Canada has to be corrupt as the day is long OR our greatness was built on an history of lies. I truly believe this all revolves around the housing crisis. Not enough housing can be built. Canadians with options are not taking low-income jobs. It's not a survivable wage anymore. Canada's #1 GDP is Real Estate. Potential first-time home buyers are not willing to throw themselves into a lifetime debt for a weak economy. \n\nSo what does Canada do? Fill these vacancies with immigrants. Not inherently wrong, but it's a band-aid solution to temporarily pump up the numbers. \n\nImmigrants, specifically refugees are taking low-income jobs. Speak Arabic? You can easily fill your job positions for minimum wage. Just like mafia tactics in third-world countries, the government takes their passports away and they must fulfill their duties at a very low wage and very high cost of living under threat of being thrown back into a potentially war-torn country. Came to Canada as a Dentist? Doesn't matter, you need to climb the ladder again and in the meantime work as a Receptionist making minimum wage.\n\nImmigrants with money are obligated to prove themselves. Buy housing, start a business. Numerous cities such as Brampton are being filled with slums. Housing a double digit of residents in the basement at absurd costs so the landlords can afford their ridiculous mortgages and lifestyle off the back of other immigrants/refugees.\n\nThe main issue is the hate directed towards immigrants. First of all, in the video it was disgusting for the man to acknowledge that someone was wearing good clothes and asking where the refugee center is. Someone can be a refugee and still have money. That's the ideal refugee. Someone with money in a war-torn country such as Sudan are high targets and completely deserve to run away to a safe country like Canada - especially if they can afford to spend money and stimulate the economy.\n\nStop attacking the people. This is a housing crisis issue that has been so poorly managed that these deeply rooted symptoms are beginning to show.

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

Too back you sent all the Canadians money to get your medical degree in Canada, take another place in line then leave. Same on you. We don’t need selfishness in our new immigrants, we need new residents who are legitimately interested in building this country for future generations.

It’s sad to say and thanks to the political climate and the culture these ideologically captured schools and universities perpetuate, you will be branded a xenophobe or racist if you raise concern about the flood of immigrants coming in this country that suck the social services. \nTrudeau knew what was going to happen when he open the borders for them and he won’t ever acknowledge the havoc caused as a result. I'm a Brit who has lived here 13 years and my advice to any Brit thinking of moving here is not to. If you can live in a nice county and you have a decent job you are better off in the UK. There is a lot of decline in urban areas here, tweaking drug addicts and tent encampments the likes the UK has NEVER seen. It's incredibly expensive to rent if you want to live anywhere remotely interesting. The infrastructure is so bad, unless you have a vehicle or lots of money to keep flying, you will feel incredibly isolated here. Brits are lucky to have such a great network of public transport and close proximity to Europe and all the cheap flights to get you around there. The work life balance is not as good as the UK. Most jobs here will start you on 2 weeks a year and only increase as your service grows. So after 5 years of service you will get 3 weeks and so on. Don't expect 5 weeks vacation until you have put 20 years in with most jobs. Canada is boring, it really is and so are most Canadians who also seem to have no idea what a sense of humour is. I have found new immigrants to be the friendliest, especially those from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. Now to the wokeness of the place, oh gosh, it's so bad. The Alberta premier has just announced very sensible and much needed gender reforms which 95% of Canadians agree with. These reforms will protect young gay kids mostly. And the last reason to top it all off was that the prices for everything in vancouver were simply ludicrous, It was insane how high the prices went up and taking care of my family was a struggle. I moved in 2017 and never once looked back, where I am now everyone and everything is sane and it hurt to leave canada at first because of how long I lived there and the memories I had there but let me be very clear I do not regret leaving canada.

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

International students became easy solution/target for politicians to blame because they cannot vote. They were considered as solution of labour shortage back during Covid then there was a labour shortage. When he takes the office of Minister of Housing, he starts to point fingers to those students. Who let them into this country in the first place? We need more roads more houses. Good solid takes on life in Canada as it stands in the larger cities. My family immigrated in the late 80s when I was a young child to YYZ and the housing prices and quality of living was really solid back then. We moved to YVR in the late 90s and prices seemed to be pretty stable as well. Think things started to change shortly after my undergrad years in the mid 2000s. Unfortunately, the government wanted to increase immigration which is great, but forgot to build out the transportation infrastructure and develop the health care system properly. Foreign credential recognition is really the biggest bottleneck for newcomers. Newcomer employment expectations and what is available to them is not really matching up, I know this first hand as I've worked in the employment enabling sector. Weather as you mentioned is subjective, I prefer the cold, clean crisp air here in Canada, I don't do well in the hot humid polluted weather in most East and Southeast Asian countries. Crime has definitely been on the rise as many people around me have had personal experiences with this topic. Finally housing, to live comfortably in YVR a family income of 150K is probably bare minimum these days.

First generation Indians try to save as much as they can while cutting corners. Things have relatively become much easier as there are plenty of jobs for those who have professional degrees and substantial experience. It's hard for Canadians to grasp but in the current era Canada is a failing state. All of its sources of wealth and income have been throttled by political interference. Pipelines. Mining. Logging. Even breathing, as carbon dioxide is fraudulently slagged as a 'pollutant'. Canada's enemies have done very well. Canadians have not fared well in catching on to the fact that they've been attacked. So, those who can, leave. During the covid fraud when it was 'mandated' (A euphemism for ORDERED) to take the injection, 8,500 health care workers were laid off, most of whom were recruited by Texas and Florida. Our loss; their gain. Yet another 'chip in the wall'. In our business we've even had immigrants from Russia tell us they're going back. Most Canadians don't realize the state their country has fallen to under the Trudeau's wrecking ball.

People immigrate to have better lives. When they come to Canada and realize it will take years for them to find the same job they had back in their own countries (if they are lucky enough to find one), they decide to return. People immigrate to build lives that they would not have been able to build in their countries. They don't come here to start from scratch and live in conditions that are worse than what they have left behind. They don't want to have to wait months for a simple medical procedure. They don't want to pay such insane rents. People immigrate to live more comfortable lives. If they work and pay taxes, they want to see the effect of their tax money on improvements. If the medical system is free but people have to stay with illness for a long time because wait times are too high, then what is the benefit of it? We bring in doctors and don't let them work. We bring in nurses and don't let them work. The same goes for teachers and many other professionals. If a country needs immigrants, it also needs their expertise and knowledge. You either need people or you don't. Stop this double standard.

Truth is that the immigration system has been a source of income and financial gain for the system but gives little back. Sadly many Canadians think the opposite is true. They think because refugees are given shelter while waiting for processing that means they receive support more than the locals. Truth is immigrants come here mostly on loans, spend years working and spending to support families back home, it takes years to understand the taxing, credit, wealth, education and many other resources that drives the Canadian community. This put immigrants in a position where they work more than the local just to meet the bare minimum life standards. If many of the immigrants knew the ins and outs of the system, then they would really take over and appreciate being in canada. \n\nCanadians and canada as a whole are welcoming. It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. Being white doesn’t make you a nice Canadian, you’re actions defines you more than your words. \n90% of this country is built by immigrants and that’s how it’s gonna develop in future, so if they keep treating us the same way good luck to them ?.\nAlso a plus note to anyone thinking that Asians are stealing your jobs, go get outside and have the balls to face them and take it away from them. Staying home and ranting and abusing us that we’re taking your opportunities and blah blah isn’t gonna work. We are so successful round the world because we are hardworking, honest and respectful to everyone. Even if we’re earning minimum and barely surviving here we always make sure we’re not burden on the government or anyone else and won’t keep crying.\n\nA big shoutout to all you guys who came here in the hope of a better future but are still struggling.\nKeep hustling and you’ll reach there, if not step down and go back and start your life again on your home soil. Canada has become a bleeding heart nation for war torn countries and third world immigrants. Just like the US, we have switched from a manufacturing/production society to a nation of consumerism. That's why all the jobs here are customer service based. People realize this, tuck tail and go back home. We need to take care of our housing crisis.cost of living, homeless and look after our seniors. It's a disgrace what's happening here. We have bigger fish to fry.

This liberal government is so out of touch its rediculous. Our immigration minister is obviously just trying to collect a paycheck as bringing in over a million immigrants from now til 2026 is not the answer. Right now, our jobs and housing is in big trouble where even Canadians born here are having a hard time. They are trying to implement programs that just won't work. Try asking the average Canadian for common sense answers. Bringing in immigrants to build homes and work at Tim Hortons and McDonald's isnt the answer. Immigration numbers are destroying this country and this country literally isn't Canada anymore. PS. If you fly any other flag thats not Canadian in protest, go home because that crap is not acceptable. Take that crap back to your birth country.

I saw a TV commercial where a female immigrant was crying and complaining about her terrible life here in Canada. She stated that she can't find a job because she doesn't have the training to do the jobs. WELL, GET THE TRAINING BEFORE YOU COME OVER HERE TO TAKE AWAY THE CLASS SEAT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS GONE THROUGH THE EDUCATIONAL PATHWAY IN THEIR LIFE AND DREAMED OF BECOMING A DOCTOR OR WHATEVER AND WANTING TO STUDY AND BE EDUCATED TO MAKE THAT LIFE DREAM COME THRUE. Why do these immigrants think that they are entitled to take what they have not worked their lives to accomplish in our country. Why should they get special privileges just because they voted in a bad government. WE DO IT ALL THE TIME. WE VOTE IN JERKS LIKE TRUDEAU AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR GOVERNMENT. HOW CAN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMEONE YOU VOTED IN? IMMIGRANTS - - - GO BACK AND FIX YOUR OWN COUNTRY!

1. Canada's immigration is primarily skilled labour. Non- skilled labour is imported mostly from the Carribean countries especially Jamaica and you have to leave every year and come back in the next. So, that can be disruptive, but I've met Jamaican's who've been on those programs and done well as well as those who haven't.\n2. If you come to Canada illegally utakipata. Be prepared to hustle for long.\n3. Since Covid everything has become very expensive especially housing. \n4. The videos you've shown of people sleeping outside is because of an increase in the influx of refugees wanting to come to Canada. Refugee shelters are allocated money in the budget for what the Govt estimates will be the number of refugees they'll take in, but there's been an influx lately.\n- A point to note though, ALL refugees Canada received from Ukraine had jobs within 2 months. Why? very skilled labour.\n- Canada's refugee policy is much more lenient than in the US and thus most refugees have been coming to Canada even from the US. The US ones have since been blocked by an agreement signed by both countries.\n5. Are there jobs in Canada? YES, but they require certain skills. The good thing is that once you get one, its the beggining of good fortunes.\n6. If you have skilled qualifications, be prepared to start at a lower level than you are used to and claw your way up. Just don't expect to start where you left off. A Nigerian friend of mine who had performed several surgeries in Nigeria could not be hired until he went back to get certified here in Canada. He has since joined the medical field after going back to school.\n\nAll in all, research, research, research before you make any move.

The truth is Canada USA uk this countries are going down because of the influx of immigrants seeking asylum, they have tried years and years taking in people.\nThe living conditions have collapsed and everything has just become expensive.\nPeople back in Africa need to understand that when we tell you not to come to the west is because we’ve experienced hardships and are trapped. \nIt’s easy to get in but difficult to come out,so it’s better you don’t enter at all because now you face challenges of exiting. \n\nIf you’re doing well at home, have a car a house/piece of land and a stable job, stay at home, don’t make the same mistake that some of us made and now we’re trapped.\nOn the other hand if you’re unemployed and young you may come and test the waters.\nJust so you know , it’s not easy being a foreigner.

So how are these asylum seekers come? Do they come from the country that they are looking for asylum and they are denied shelter? Then the trouble is how this claimants are processed, there should be a way to firm up the needed resources or simply there's no room in Canada. If what they are doing is coming to the country and once at the port of entry they claim for asylum we need to take a serious look at how lenient we are in accepting just anyone who comes by automatically granting asylum. That should stop. There should be no illegal immigrants in Canada. Those who are here illegally should be sent back. There is enough trouble now to handle this. Maybe in the future, not now.

The issue is Canada is being too selective with the countries they are taking from ( only two India and china), but it's racist to say that, the two countries with the most people in the world.... would overlap the amount of Canadians in the country with only sending like 2% of their population.... why are we immigrating a unlimited amount of people from countries that can over right our populations 1000x over. So all the other countries and cultures who want to have their families come to Canada will be pushed back over selective immigration. \n\nIf you wondered why Jagmeet buckled under the great ruler... i would argue this is why. This is reality not racism. Hard working 1st gen immigrants, or Fully born Canadian Indians that i know struggle, because this country didn't allow them to settle in with all their hard work, because they kept the door open and kept letting people in without making sure the economy can handle it

As an older person who migrated decades ago after protesting in my old country, I encourage young people below 45 to FIGHT for your countries. Fight bad goverments. 7 billion people on the planet cannot move to the few western countries that seem to work and appear attractive on the surface, it’s not possible. The taxpayers in those countries are feeling it. Look at the folks sleeping on the floor in NY! The homeless citizens don’t have places to sleep but politicians are lodging new border crossing migrants in hotels at taxpayers expense, creating resentment! \n\nFight those oppressing you in your countries. Black America “fought” to eliminate Jim Crow so we can even move here. Black America and the White allies who struggled for civil rights ARE the reason the west has even been tolerant of the amount of immigration in the last 40 years! \n\nThere is no peace without a fight… even after the civil rights fights including the million man March 60 years ago? by MLK, the struggle against racism continues. \n\nHe left because of his children but will find out in 25 years time that they will want to connect with their roots even after succeeding in the West. \n\nYoung folks, take African, Latin American, Caribbean and Asian countries back from oppressive greedy corrupt rulers to reduce the need to leave our places of birth. I “fought” oppressive corrupt regimes with other like minded folks when I was younger before leaving! I wish we were more that were interested in protesting! Now folks are giving up without a serious protest, distracted by entertainment and the illusion of utopian countries which is not true. They find out too late! \n\nWestern politicians and governments need to stop cooperating with oppressive governments in these areas if they truly want to tackle immigration. Freeze their stolen loot like we did to the Russian oligarchs, force them to return the loot into their various economies and create good middle class jobs! \n\nThe west works because most work is assembly line in nature, glorifies slavery. A doctor has a target of about 15 to 20 patients to see per day and rushes you out of his office because the corporation he works for only cares about money and KPIs! You really aren’t allowed to interact with patients and provide personalized service. A pharmacist has to fill anything between 200 to 350 prescriptions, give a certain number of immunizations and see a certain No of patients per day. There is no time for niceties! A corporate professional May work remotely but has to deliver on so many projects he is up till 10pm and only gets up to eat. We have beautiful homes, drive nice cars etc but MUST work like the clock in an assembly line fashion! Most of us pay so much of our income as taxes we end up with less than 70% as paychecks! Things aren’t always what they seem!

Many immigrants find the first few years difficult because of the job ethics. The job ethics here in Canada is quite different from Nigerian with a laidback background. In Canada you work for every cent and it has really worked for them and some of us. I have employed so many Africans especially Nigerians who thought I am mean because they have to work for every penny. You are not paid to come and have a chitchat at work or spend 5 hours on something that could take you 3 hours to do. I will say if you can't change your work ethics and try to integrate into the Canadian system please stay back in your country. I have also seen people who have been clouded with that high life they lived back home and find it difficult to Start at the bottom. Even if you are living a good life in Nigeria, Canada is a better place to live if you can unlearn some things and relearn other things.\nAnd is there systemic racism? The answer is YES. If our leaders treat us right, 80 percent of our people won't leave their country. Let's hold our government responsible not the north American government or their people.

Age is an important factor while considering immigration. For folks less than 30, Canada will offer you a great opportunity if you are focus and knows how to develop your skills or career. For Folks that have worked the better part of their lives in their home country, say from age 40, DO NOT sell all you have worked for back home and bring the money to Canada, the system here is designed to swallow all that money in a short time. For these group of people do not immigrate because you want a better life for your children, but your primary focus will be what can I do in a short possible time that can earn you money to survive this economy. Housing is the most important factor and do a lot of research on where to settle that will fit your income and provide better job. Also make sure you are re-trainable. Be prepared and that includes all members of your family. Wife and husband and all their adult children must be ready to hit the ground running and find whatever job within a short possible time. Paying bills become a less burden if all members of the family are contributing their own share. It is not like back home where the man is the brad winner and takes care of others responsibilities.
