Interesting dichotomy - the people interviewed that are complaining about dirty Indians, are the ones who look run down, aren’t wearing clothes and filling the drug dens. I think everyone agrees there is way too much immigration but let’s not get it twisted - a lot of the complaints are projection.

All big department stores in London , Ont are now staffed by more than 90 percent with only Indians , where are the previous employees ?? are they laid off , it all happened in just few years , unbelievable !! why no inquiry about replacing all other hard working Canadians and legal immigrants by new arrivals from only one country ,India and who are those workers , most of them are students , many came with fake documents and many many of them have absolutely no intention to finish their education in Canada but to use these loopholes to get into Canada and never leave , India is one of the most corrupt countries in the world ( look at the origin of most of the scam calls ! ), you can get a PHD degree there with money, ( the most scary part is hiring nurses or doctors with maybe fake degrees ) now corruption and loopholes in our immigration system allowed this influx of cheaters while hundred of thousands of Canadians cant find jobs and honest people from everywhere who try to immigrate through the front door face all the difficulties, this is not racism, it is the truth ...

Canada has changed significantly in recent years, and I believe our post-COVID immigration policies have played a major role in the challenges we’re facing today. Here’s how things went off track: Many individuals who couldn’t pass the IELTS (English proficiency test) entered the country on visitor visas or through spousal sponsorships—some of which were questionable or fraudulent. During that time, the government was converting visitor visas into work permits with little to no scrutiny. Background checks and rejections were rare. Meanwhile, colleges rapidly expanded their intake capacity—understandably so, since international students pay three to four times more in tuition. At the same time, due to inflationary pressures, the government allowed international students to work 40 hours per week instead of the previous 20-hour limit. This created a new, ready-to-work labor force in just a year or two, heavily impacting the retail sector. As a result, a large portion of retail jobs shifted toward a single ethnic group, while many Canadian citizens found themselves sidelined. One key factor was flexibility. Many immigrant communities—particularly Indian—were more willing to accept irregular hours and last-minute shifts, often adopting a more compliant, “yes sir” attitude that employers found appealing. However, I’m already beginning to notice changes in the retail landscape, likely due to the government finally tightening immigration rules. Going forward, we don’t need to close our doors—but we do need smarter immigration policies, with proper checks and balances, to ensure fairness and sustainability for everyone.

Utterly disgusting. Canadian government needs to deport all recent indian arrivals. Most are here via scams. We can't have immigration coming from just one place in massive numbers. You are supplanting Canada as a nation and making it a new "India".

Good balanced journalism. It showed the divide not just between those from india and others in Canada but the acceptance and community. There are those that are taking advantage while there are many that are productive and positive members of the community. The one common agreed upon idea is that canadian immigration needs to be tightened up so the posative people can get in and the people who would take advantage of or be criminals are kept outno matter what country they come from.

It saddens me for what this country has become. When I first came here, I saw the potential of what I could do in this country but that is not the case anymore. I, amongst many immigrants from India, try every bit possible to assimilate in the society and believe me we have, almost at par with Canadian values. However, post-covid, everyone seems to judge every east Indian on the same grounds as outlined by the speakers in this video. My opinion is, people who do not respect the laws and traditions of this country should go back to their countries (regardless of who they are) and do all your propaganda there especially all the international ones. Like I came here for a better future and I feel I am getting a worsened experience due to all this toxicity for colored people and their behaviour of course.

The problem is they refuse to assimilate and embrace western culture or the culture of the country they immigrated too. This is what infuriates the citizens of the host country. We do not care if they have their traditions, we care that they try to make our country just like the one they left.

I wonder if they discussed how when Indian students who unalive themselves in Canada, the deaths are not treated as such. There are many families who have the remains of their kids (usually young males) repatriated and the death is left unclear. The gov’t of Canada has been obfuscating many such deaths. Was it the Canadian govt fully at fault for the deaths? Not quite… these students are often met with predatory individuals who take advantage of their vulnerable situations: such as predatory landlords who have sometimes 15 or more students renting one house, or unjust working conditions because the employer knows that the immigrants citizenship hopes are tied to the job, etc etc. Ultimately, it’s the Canadian government turning a blind eye to these realities and trying to make the deaths appear due to things other than unalive attempts. This shouldn’t be surprising considering the way the Canadian government has been pushing dystopian legislation around their medically assisted dying program (MAiD). Canada’s medically assisted dying program has the least guardrails of any program of that type in other countries. Not just this, but the legislation for MAiD comes at a time when Canada’s healthcare and mental healthcare systems are collapsing. Trudeau said he would address this with one his re-election promises in 2021: he promised 5 billion for mental health programs. I’ve worked in the field for almost 20 years with youth and that money never arrived, nor has any serious attempt to fund programs occurred since the brutal Canadian pandemic policies massively exacerbated the youth mental health crisis. Perhaps one day someone will be able to trace how the 5 Billion promised was send off in provincial transfers that did not benefit any programs and likely only helped pay for all the upper management, because Canada’s healthcare, education and mental health care systems are absurdly top-heavy. Canada becomes moral dystopian by the day, with regular folks (working class, blue collar, low-income) bearing the burden. Everyday more people join the rank of the oppressed regular people while a few who work in the government or favored industries are overpaid and the stats around all of this corruption are further obfuscated and buried. And as all this occurs, you see bureaucrats like the on in this video smug in their knowledge that most Canadians will never learn how dark the truth is.

I am an Indian student who has struggled to get my papers done, and I have to say this: mass immigration needs to stop. Canada should allow only people who speak good English and who can truly contribute to this country. I am an IT student, and I worked hard to clear $120K in debt through Scotiabank. I could have taken a loan in my home country, but I chose to work here because Canada gave me everything my own country could not. I am deeply grateful for that. But when I see people from my own community walking around in flip-flops, unable to speak even one word of English, it breaks me inside. My city—Brampton—has been completely taken over, and it’s becoming harder to even drive there now. I believe Canada needs to come together and put an end to this. Enough is enough. Immigration should be about quality, not quantity.

Having lived in brampton as an immigrant i can personally say that it is no longer a Canadian city. No one speaks English or french, no one dresses western, no one knows the canadian national anthem and every one carries and indian or Pakistan flag....

All this tough talk and posturing but no actions on the ground. I love that she is trying to get answers and holding people accountable but in reality nothings changing. i’m a farm worker in rural bc who works with indian ladies, i ❤️ them so much. just lovely. my mechanic is a sihk, one of my favorite people ever. indian people helped build bc in the last century and continue to do so, their culture is equal to western culture, i don’t worry that they are here one bit, but immigration from anywhere has to be balanced and fair.

Well, I'm gonna give you Canada Immigration an advice on how to catch these people and all those in other countries who has the same situation. These people are doing jobs like delivery like Uber, Skip, Doordash, etc., BUT...they are not using their legal name to apply for that instead they are using another person's account to do that job, whose account is legal and had been in the job for so many years. The connection between those people is not relevant to any gang or organizations but they operate like one, the advantage is both parties earn money while in their eyes is "legal". This is normal settings in my country(3rd world country), you have several taxis and you need to hire drivers to operate, its up to you if you're gonna hire legit drivers or not, the only difference is that the undocumented driver is cheaper. And how do I know these things, I work in a fastfood chain in Waterloo, you need to identify which order the driver will pickup and the delivery driver need to verify the order by the order number through the app but sometimes you can see the Account's photo is different from the delivery driver, so yeah, that's the gist of it. I have no idea why modern countries like Canada and America are so "dumb" or lack of critical thinking when it comes to crimes like this, but I guess people and politicians are the same all over the world. And now, they are bringing more people without checking their background, if there's any criminal record or such, oh yeah, speaking of that, how do you verify those records from another country if those records can be produced with 3rd party company in which an employee from a government institution is behind it to make it more look like it is legit.

Why does no one mention the reason why politicians allow large scale immigration... because the self serving, long living, the most powerful political group - the white baby boomers - want to continue seeing their property value increase, cheap labor to serve them, and large consumer base to increase their business profits...

I'm an Indian immigrant, fully legal, we all want these fraud people to go back and only hard working and legal ones are welcomed who wants to accept the Canadian way of living.

Indian's look at Canada as a very easy to fooled country when it comes in immigration policy, all Indian's work together the one in India and the one who lives in Canada, opening a fraud school to sell course acceptance letter to be approved of student visa. They come not to study but to work and then later on apply for PR. Why do you think Indians are over populated in Canada? they flood the food bank and employment that is no longer available for the Canadian born youth. They are everywhere because they are preferable by greedy employer for cheap labour, the reason this people flood the food bank, theyre wages is not liveable in Canada. Canada becomes a joke since Trudeau took over the government, open border for fraudster to come in. Immigration policy will never be fix until the Liberal is kick out from power. As someone who comes from latin-america and has been travelling and touristing in Canada for the last 10 + years, and finally decided to take the step to immigrate to Canada through the front door, I can safely say you guys are losing your amazing country. My permit was not approved and you know what, I am not even mad. I see a lot of these people leeching off your government and for some reason they get preferential treatment over people like me who come to do things honestly, work, study, and adding to the country instead leeching from it. Like I said, I first came to Canada a little over 10 years ago, and I am telling you this country is changing for the worse. One thing I also noticed is how back then I always used to hear the memes of Canadians being nice and always saying "sorry". Those memes no longer exist. It's nothing against a certain group, these problems occur if you let in too many people from one place, it's called ghettoization. If too many Canadians moved to India, for example, they would form communities large enough that they don't really integrate. Immigration is fine, as Canadians it's always been our strength, but the jobs aren't keeping up. If the jobs become there, we need to mix up the countries, we can't have more Indians.

What baffles me is how easily the government and public colleges are shifting the blame and pretending to be like a deer in the headlight. $252 million, this is the surplus profit) that one just one Ontario public college had in 2024. There’s no typing error, friends, this is the number and anyone can verify it. The last I checked, these colleges are not operated or governed by immigrants, it’s us who are in charge. We are being mislead to believe that the problem lies elsewhere. Colleges made money, the feds, province , region every body made millions. Where were these auditors for 8 years. This mass influx began in 2018, so was the entire government and administration at all levels was napping.

It's not a lie. I have friends telling me stories of Indian Immigrants in small towns like Renfrew, Eaganville, Barrie, and other smaller places in between where there following and harrassing women in small towns. And their daughters alone side them. And their are never arrested. These people have disappeared of the internet 6-8 yrs ago and are popping up in small towns and even smaller villages along the highway. Parking on private property access roads for fires and picnics with there kids. I have seen it first hand all over lanark county and across the east end heading out to Embrun and east towards Plantagenet. And for anyone to deny this..it's because you live in a bubble and never leave the city. Can't goto the Ottawa River anywhere without seeing people bathing in the runoff from our fields and confronting locals tell them to stop trashing out forest and community . All the while throwing garbage into the river and bushes wherever they stop to get out of their cars. These Indians and Muslims do not care about the rules or our country. The Immigrants have over run the country and will not leave peacefully. Ask them yourself if they will. I bet they stand defiantly in your face and tell you "no". Even when they legally do not belong here. This will cause a civil war soon enough. Canada wants it's country back. And they will get it back from the liberals and their foreign army of vagrant, Canadian hating deciples. The time of the liberals has come to and end. The problem is, if the immigrants keep coming in, it would change canada so much that it ceases to be a liberal democratic country that values people's rights; it's easy enough for immigrants to "roll back" their beliefs to a previous version, if even one or two charismatic new immigrants start fomenting those beliefs. The very thing could undermine itself, so there should be tighter bordres. The people who've been there since 1979 don't have to leave.

Canadian that spent 16 years in Japan. I went as an individual. I stayed as an individual. Married a Japanese. Came back to Canada for a pension and can't wait to leave. I were in Japan and if I saw a group of Canadians arrive expecting Japan to change for them, I would have been severely pissed off with them. Every other country and normal immigrant that came as an individual or individual family probably thinks the same way I do. No one in any country likes to see "Mass Immigration" and even Japan these days are looking at an influx of half a million Indians and who knows how many more Africans. This will change Japan and they'll turn a good culture into their shitty culture and I'm not happy with that. I liked being one of few. Yes I had American, Canadian, Australian, Kiwi and British friends as well as Japanese friends. But we were all individuals that adopted the way of living in Japan into our everyday lives. If I go back, I don't want to be in india. It'd be like living in Brampton. What pisses me most is the attitude of that muslim guy. Yes you are out breeding us but not all majorities rule. In Malaysia, Malays rule despite being the smaller population. They have more Chinese and Indians there but they have to live under the rule of the native Malays. So you will have to do the same in Canada despite if your population is larger. You adapt to this country. The country doesn't convert to accomodate you. Individuals are key. Groups are the bane of all countries.

I was born and raised in Brampton (but of South Asian descent via the Caribbean) and it pains me to see how the city has changed over the past 20 years. I was raised to be a proud Canadian and to be grateful for the opportunities that this country has afforded my family and I. I am a Canadian first, and Guyanese/Indian second. The issue I have with the city is that you have enclaves of ethnically homogenous people who refuse to assimilate - I once went into a Tim Hortons at Peter Robertson and Dixie, and was laughed at by the cashiers because I could not speak Hindi/Punjabi (despite being brown). There is nothing wrong with immigration - it makes the country stronger. HOWEVER, that only happens if the immigrants work to collectively advance the interests of the country and accept the rules/societal norms of the country they now call home. Instead, they find ways to circumvent/exploit the system - they are less interested on making society better, and more interested in individual advancement. I live in Professors Lake, which historically was one of the more affluent areas of the city. Now, there are several houses on my street that have essentially become boarding houses, divided into units of four with 10+ people living inside. I fully understand why white Canadians are feeling displaced, and it pains me that anti-immigrant sentiment has soured the way people look at me (despite being born in Canada).

Intense Concentration of any one ethnic group in on area typically ends up becoming a problem. The birth rate in Canada is insufficient, immigration will always drive the country’s growth but it needs to be diluted with multiple ethnic groups. Nearly a million Indians in one small area will make the area just like India. Conestoga college has done the same thing to Kitchener.

Thank you for this report on Brampton. For context, I am a 4th generation Canadian, my ancestors immigrated here a few years prior to confederation in 1867. I have worked in the tool and die industry for decades and many of my associates work for or manage tool and die businesses in Brampton. Everyone in Brampton knows what is changing there. When I try to explain to my friends that what is happening in Brampton is not balanced, they do not understand, they think I am a racist. I told them that my Indian friends in Brampton feel the same way I do. They look at me like a deer in the headlights. Nothing has turned me against a politician so vehemently as Justin Trudeau's management of immigration. The man had no idea how to effectively manage immigration in a way which would integrate people into a culture and society such as Canada. That certainly is not creating a microcosm of one nation in a city.

Funny how everyone screams about immigrants and Indians ‘ruining Brampton,’ but no one bats an eye when billions of OUR tax dollars are shipped to Ukraine. The real issue isn’t people trying to make a living — it’s governments that failed to plan for housing, infrastructure, and affordability. We absolutely do have an immigration problem, I’d say time to turn the tap off, and get on the ones here about status, BUT we cannot allow what has been happening in the states, anyone with a brain can see what the USA has become these days (government wise) But a controlled program without liberals and conservatives talking it into the ground. Or going the human rights violations route. We would see a noticeable decrease in this very evident problem, and yes it’s problem. The immigrants are the ones responsible for the cost of living going because there government is giving them more then our government can give us to live off of and they can afford the higher cost of living. The government of Canada allowed these Indians to come to Canada in excessive large numbers. They abuse every system of Canada, change the culture of Canada, buy out all businesses in Canada, and employ only their own Indians. They don't drive for licenses, they own the depot, and they don't need credits for loans at the banks because they own the banks. They fight out and make it difficult for all other ethnic groups in Canada. Justin Trudeau seems to have allowed 90% of Indians to immigrate to Canada and 10% of other ethnic backgrounds combined. Trudeau has caused the Canadian culture to be transformed into Indian culture. Canada is no longer Canada. it's become India, and it's extremely unfair to all other ethnic groups. Their agenda is for Canada to be 100% Indians. Canada is in BIG TROUBLE. The Indians are in every organizations and industries, including Immigration, buying out all the franchises, businesses and are the ones fighting against all other ethnic cultured groups, making the system more difficult for other nations to migrate to Canada. Even crime has increased. Canadians need to wake up before Canada totally disappears. The Indians are messing up the Canadian economy. The majority of Indians are here through false documents and don't even speak proper English or even understand the language. Canada is in TROUBLE. They are highly Discriminative. Only making sure Canada only employs Indians in all sectors, not Blacks, not Whites, not Chinese or other Ethnic groups, but only Indians themselves. It seems the Indians are seeking to totally take over Canada and become a world power. This is my view and that of many true concerned Canadian citizens and professionals who care about this country, Canada. The culture has changed and become DISCRIMINATIVE. If old immigrants are seeing an issue of offsetting the harmony that's our multiculturalism, including old Canadians and original Native Canadians. By the mass immigration policies, bringing/favouring from one country. Then you know there's a problem. The end was great. But it lacked lto visualize what I've been saying for years : We leave the bad stuff behind. We share and teach others our cultural aspects. We're not supposed to bring the bad, the reason why we left, with us.

I live in Brampton, i am all for diversity but where is the diversity if everyone is Indian. I am French originally and i am in a minority of one! Let's be clear, the massive Indian increase in the population is due to Trudeau's immigration policy, the indians did not jump over the border as some of the comments suggest, they mostly came here legally, and this was done without broad agreement of the Canadian population as a whole. Canadian population went from being 30 million inhabitants to 40 millions in just over a decade, a massive population increase in a short time due mostly to Indian immigration with huge impact on housing , cost of housing, infrastructure, jobs, taxes, etc... The liberals have a lot to answer for the disaster which Canada has become in the last 10 years and yes they got rid off Trudeau, but they are still in power, stiffling the potential economic growth of Canada which should be a rich country instead of being a country where many people live from pay cheques to pay cheques.

I still don't see the problem. No one's persecuting locals or trying to impose Shariah law Islamism? Sans the assholes, generally they're productive, tax paying citizens, who do things differently. Regardless, they add billions of dollars to the economy. If they were all "not working" like that bald guy said, the city wouldn't be as productive or be as rich or as sprawling. Is it too much immigration all at the same time, yeah but locals would have problem with non-white people even if there was litte immigration. Stop the immigration numbers and disgruntled whites would still have an issue with Brampton despite majority white cities the same size as Brampton not being as productive, rapidly facing demographic and economic decline. Majority of the accusations the white people made, were not even proven in the video. I mean ok I guess.

the hindus don't denigrate anybody. ...except those untouchables over there. they're subhuman filth. i think most canadians aren't pissed off about the immigration, exactly, and are more annoyed by the shift in resources. it's a pretty big country with a lot of empty space. they set up in a small town and didn't bother anyone. that's roughly in line with canadian values. however, during that time, we've seen a lot of cuts to systems that were intended to help people born in canada and a shift in resources to help people born elsewhere coming into the country. white canadians are correct in noticing that the government has picked a side, and is shifting it's resources to helping this one group at the expense of the other, and it's had visible results that you're helpfully documenting. it's relatively clear that, whatever the merit of that initial shift in resources, it's had some unexpected effects, and that policy needs to be reevaluated. it's relatively clear who needs government resources in brampton in 2025, and the answer is not the same as it was in 1995.

As a brown person who migrated to Ireland, i can tell you i haven't met, spoken to or hung out with any of the people from my birth country in years. Why? Because, my Irish school mates, my Irish neighbours & Irish colleagues have never made me feel insecure about my color or origins. However in the last five years, some communities like the pakistanis, brazilians & nigerians started creating their ghettos despite the fact that the Irish did not discriminate. They "rule" their ghettos as if they're sovereign territories and do not interact with the Irish, who loves a good banter & socializing. Now the Irish are feeling insecure & one can feel, hear & see the change in attitudes towards immigrants. I fear that in the future i may face the consequences of some other people's decision to stand out instead of mixing. It is quite sad actually!

Immigration technically is an asset for a country like Canada, however the open door policy turned that asset into a liability. When you have a migrant community congregate into ghetto like fashion, you know your policy has failed somewhere. Psychologically speaking human would naturally gravitate towards people they have similarities(language, color, likes & dislikes, etc) with and congregate as a "tribe" for warmth & security. Just put one white person alone in the middle of an Indian market at rush hour, i promise you they'd run to the first white person they spot for "security", now tell that one guy that he has to live in India for the foreseeable future and that he has a choice of living in any area of that city and he learns that there a part of town where most of the white people live, where do you think he'll go?

I think immigration is just one of the surfaces issues that we are facing, too many people get stuck in them instead of the real problem, which is government corruption and greed. If we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it

Immigration has increased because the government needs more people for the economy. The population 25+ years ago was enough to keep with the costs and demand. Now, Canada probably has a lot of demand and needs an influx of people both for education and jobs. Indians are enticed to come because they hear about towns that cater towards Indians like Brampton. Chinese people used to be the majority of immigrants and that was because Chinatowns would cater to them. Not to mention, these immigrants likely have temporary worker or student visas. These an whole thing with the student visas but I don't want to get into it. So Amazon and other large companies need a lot of workers for their demand and look outside of Canada to fill the job numbers. Meanwhile, Canadians that have been here for awhile are on the streets and jobless. So basically, Canada needs immigration for its demand but I think when too many people come all at once and from usually one country, Canadians will notice the change and feel the tensions that come with it.

Lol the only ones who can say something are the native inuits and those people. Not these Caucasian who think where ever they go they are natives and when other go to the same place they are immigrants
