It broke my heart...third world country people migrate to these countries for a better life because in there homeland they are not well paid and system if f,ed up...but in foreign countries they have to face this racism...hope one day he buys a big house and a white kid comes to his door step he would not do that to him...never...

As a Canadian I agree that Canada is no longer a great place to immigrate to. I disagree that it is due to racism (my parents were immigrants) but now the cost of living is too high due to shortage of housing supply and inflation. Salaries have not kept up. Immigrants do have a much harder time gaining employment in high skilled jobs especially if their English is not PERFECT. And local governments have not prepared the infrastructure to handle the massive amount of immigration that the government has accepted over the years. Our schools and health care systems are overwhelmed and stressed to the point where 1/4 of people don’t have a family doctor and getting into even a public school has become competitive. \n\nThis is not the Canada I grew up in or thought my kids would grow up in. It’s hard even for Canadians to survive and immigrants coming here without a 6-figure salary job will struggle to survive.

We lived in Canada for a while , we did buy properties and thought we will settle here but thank god we got some sense that this is not a sensible country and we have lived in many country’s and let me say this - there’s no country like India and we have come back ??????️ also our key places or theertha kshetras are in India and we don’t want to bring up a kids in western way and I want them to be true Hindu in every sense.

Idk if you mention this but in NS the gov pays 75% of immigrant wages meaning employers prefer hiring immigrants over citizens. I lost my family doctor 2 years ago and haven’t gotten a new one. My kids did as well. And walk in clinics are literally lined up outside the door every day. \nAnd I’ll add the culture of India is a lot different than Canadian culture especially when it comes to customer service.. even getting our doubles doubles has been effected. \nAnd I’ll mention the immigrants often have no kids or family with them.. they live all in 1 place even 8 people in a 1 bedroom and they will have multiple jobs. It’s not because canadians don’t want to work.. it’s literally more profitable for the employer.

They all new before they come to Canada. They all had fack documents and bends. It is all business in India … kids want to enter in Canada so this was easy legal way. Study is not what they want… parents coming here work on cash. … system is ruined completely. A lot of Canadian have a misconception about Indian students. Majority of the students who came after the pandemic were business professionals who took the pandemic as an opportunity to get back to education. They chose Canada because of its beauty and friendly people. The reality of which is they paid 3 times as much tuition as a Canadian, got abused at their work place for bare minimum wage. They paid a hefty price for a degree that no country recognizes. Its funny how your PM cashed your CERB cheques with the cash of international students. Its sad how Indian students follow the legal process to enter your nation and get hate for being illegals. Students who have a CRS score 500+ struggle to make a living while your government provides easy immigration by asylum to people who themselves burned their countries down. Its sad to be in a nation where getting a call connected to the CRA takes more time than getting political asylum. Your government spends your tax money on asylum seekers and their 6-7 kids who come with them and not international students. We bring money to your nation. 7 billion dollars is what the students bring your nation every year, while your PM sends 5 times as much to fund someone else’s war. You put a communist dictator to represent you and you are paying its price. Darker days lie ahead for Canada and they have nothing to do with Indian students.

Used to be if you wanted to come to Canada you had to have a certain amount of money! I think that should be the case as well as also educated. Australia had a point system and its very hard to immigrate there, we should have that too. Lets stop dumbing everything down! Immigrants come and they come from 3rd world countries and they then offer their serves at lower standards. I used to house clean, I was a single mom with 3 kids and I made a good living. I lost a few jobs to NANNIES who were hired to take care of kids only and before I knew it they were cleaning the house and I was let go. Now those nannies could have just looked after their kids. They didn't even get more money to clean the house. Screwed me out of work and gave them selves more work without more pay! I see it in the Massage Therapy industry too, they post rates a lot lower than the going rate! Janitor serves, truck driving, all are being dumbed down and lower quality! Franshises all being bought out and having major health issues with food quality...dumbing it down to their country of origin!! Im so sick of it all.

Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. Hence get rid of ur ego and attitude, it's YOU that needs immigrants more than they need you ?? \nLastly, don't forget your ancestors too arrived here in ship loads from Europe as immigrants, taking away the land belonging to the native Indians who were slaughtered and today live as prisoners in reservation lands... on their own soil. Some Canadians are so afraid to offend that they don't say how they truly feel and just tip toe around the subject.\n\nI am Canadian born. My parents immigrated here over 30 years ago, legally. They adapted. My husband is an immigrant. He came legally. He adapted. He works for the economy and rescues people. He will be a citizen this year.\n\nI agree with carefully selected immigration. I agree with bringing people for skilled trades that can't easily be filled. I agree with a select number of refugees who are truly in a life or death situation (not the ones who make up stories to work her for a year before their hearing while getting tax payer assistance).\n\nI don't agree with mass immigration. I don't agree with illegal immigration. I don't agree with people who immigrate here for a paycheck and have no desire to adapt to the culture and become a true Canadian. I don't agree with people who come to get tax paid assistance and have no desire to work or help the economy in any way. I don't agree with bringing workers for entry level jobs that are meant for our kids and seniors.

Okay the lady is saying government should give them the opportunity. These guys already here too many and they don't respect laws which you can see when you go to Brampton. And they want more and more of their people here so they can feel like their back home. But there is problem which is people from other cultures don't like more Punjabis here. Means the resources would be limited. So let that pizza for four people. We came to Canada 17 years ago, with nothing, we were lucky, a few years later the kids were moving out, we both are self employed (skilled people from Germany) we worked like oxen, still do, we paid off our own house and soon 2 more rentals, we are close to retirement. Canada was extremely difficult at the beginning, they don't accept knowledge from other places, even if it comes from places like Germany. You got to do it the retarded Canadian way, If you're just some poor lad who works in a Hamburger factory you will stay poor for sure. There is no affordable housing, a blue collar job will keep you poor. You gotta be self employed, THATs the only way here. Winter sucks, we will soon spend our winters abroad. Canadian government is run by communist criminals, there are skilled people moving out of here, lots of them. There are druggies roaming the streets where we live, (and everywhere else) if one ever wants to break into my house I am legally not allowed to protect my family, it's a joke. A bitter one.

Canada’s statistics are no different than Australia, USA and France for example in terms of homelessness and home ownership. Who is canadian really? The crowd that migrated from Europe years ago are dwindling in number because either they did not have children or married other races which then diversified with each generation. So ,what happened was other country folks started coming, produced many kids that grew up and produced more kids. I just watched a bus get dropped off at an immigration visa service place by my kids school. Follow the money and see the problem b who’s making money off of people from conflict countries who would do anything for a change of location. Coast to coast it's the same story: Liberal govt let useless 'paper mill' schools (mostly run by Indian scammers) fill the country with these kids with BS sales promotion of a path to PR status (most don't need or care about becoming citizens lol). The Liberals are toying with granting them PR status, but they know this will likely cost them the election. These kids are creating housing capacity problems, creating overcrowding on transit and in healthcare. Local charities are slammed with extra mouths to feed, and grocery stores are experiencing a spike in shoplifting because these kids did not come with enough money to house and feed themselves. The student visa program has been abused by criminals of course, so there's a spike in gangster activity and even a political assassination in Surrey BC. It's a crap show and the solution is for 500,000 of them to head home ASAP. (Yes, this may create a temporary shortage of fast food workers and delivery people, but I'll take my chances.)

On the idea of adopting culture, did eurpeans adopt culture of Natives, where are the Natives, to which land did they go to? I'm Chilean. My sister moved to London bc of a job opportunity and lived there for 15 years, but after Brexit things started to go sour; my BIL's company offered to move him to Toronto. Off they go... they HATED it; the drab culture, the weather, the prices (higher than London!), the quality of the schools their kids go to, etc. I went there last year and, honestly, besides being obviously safer than Santiago, I found it a very boring city; much more than any other I've been to in the US, Europe and South America. Plus they are constantly complaining about the extreme protectionism, which means some things are hard to come buy or to order online, and explains the high costs of telecoms. Well, they decided it was too bad for them, so they're returning to Chile this year?‍♀️

I'm born in the UK to Serbian parents, but grown up in Norway so I've seen three different cultures in my life all at once. I always liked Canada for being diverse because then I wouldn't have to switch between being English, Serbian or Norwegian, I could be more me because I am basically multicultural. For years I've idealised Canada and it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I got to visit and see for myself what Canada is like. I was in Toronto and also in Vancouver visiting a family that moved there from the UK I hadn't seen since I was a kid. I loved the nature (Especially Vancouver my god!) and the people, but I learned about how extremely expensive housing in Canada is to the point that it would be hard to make ends meet just renting a place let alone buying a house. Also how immigration is out of control and those who do come to Canada are disproportionately from one country being India rather than many different, which is not good for maintaining diversity. This is something I saw having lived most of my two weeks in Mississauga just south of the airport.\n\nI hope you guys finally get someone better in the next election, because I have more hopes for Canada than I do for the UK. Most of what was reported here is true but the housing market and rents have skyrocketed all over the world since the Chinese government F'd everyone with Covid-19. At first there were supply chain issues with all goods so businesses said we have to increase prices. Once supply issues were back to pre-Covid-19 levels businesses did not & will not lower their prices on goods because , we as a society do not take matters into our own hands and boycott products\\company's etc. Now obviously we cannot boycott all goods & services but the majority we could and that is the only thing that would cause action among companies to lower bank fees, fast food prices, grocery prices, cell plan costs etc.\n\nWith that said, you picked two of the highest and most sought after city's in CAN to rent & or try to buy a home. Although rent & home prices have really jumped all over the world in the past 3-4 years, more affordable (still not cheap) housing, compared to Toronto, Vancouver, can be found all across CAN. My sister & brother in law found an apartment to rent in Winnipeg without any difficulty or waiting. \nThey are immigrants and entered on her student Visa & he is a computer programmer. They are not struggling to eat but they have to follow a tight budget since she cannot work but 20 hours a week as a student and they have 1 kid, a car payment,utilities, cell plan, etc. They have filed for their PR and I suspect they will be approved since his job is in demand and she will graduate from College there in 4 months or so.\n\nOne thing I noticed, when my wife & I went up to get them settled in, is that the government (national & local) taxes you all pay out of the wazzoo on everything! I think the only thing that wasn't taxed was air. ? I know most of this is due to the healthcare system, because the money has to come from somewhere. Don't misunderstand, I like the CAN healthcare system better than the US's, because the insurance companies stick it to us as well, but both have their pluses and minuses.\n\nCAN does have a much easier system for immigration. If my sister & bro in law could have come here we would have been glad for them to stay with us and help them get started but the backlog is just so long to wait (10 + years). I also LOVE CAN because you uphold your laws and DEPORT illegal immigrants instead of letting them pour into the Country, by the millions each year, and the majority eventually trickle into the population illegally, who get jobs & pay no taxes (other than sales tax) no driver's licenses or vehicle insurance and get 100% free medical and hospital care anytime while legal US citizen's pay high premiums, into social security and their income taxes each year.

Since 2016, many International Students started coming to Canada and they moved to Brampton in particular so they wouldn't have to assimilate into Canadian way of life. I'm a Punjabi kid born and raised in Canada, who grew up in Brampton. Brampton has gone to the shits post 2017/2018 when all these International Students invaded Brampton. The older Punjabi families are moving out of Brampton and are moving to other towns, while some of them rent out their old homes in Brampton to International Students. Old Punjabis are suffering from this the most, maybe you should've interviewed Canadian born Punjabis or Punjabis who have been in Canada for dozens of years instead of interviewing some new comers and a couple crackheads. Not only are these new International Students fucking up the neighbourhoods we've been living in, they've ruined our reputation that our parent's/grandparent's generation worked their ass off to establish in Canada. Maybe Trudeau or whoever the fuck is in charge, should raise their standards of what kind of International Students can enter Canada and have a more difficult English proficiency test. Canada wants Internation Student money, but at what cost? They let in a bunch of buffoons who have no respect to the Canadian way of life.\n\nThat being said, you kind of showed a biased perspective, you interviewed a bunch of crackheads in downtown Brampton. The Sikh Gurdwara you showed actually feeds 100s of homeless people everyday. Gurdwaras all over Canada are contributing more to society than any other religious establishment including Churches. Sikh Gurdwaras give free food to anyone who visits the temple, even during corona virus they would give out packages of free food. I've seen many homeless people getting their food packed from Gurdwaras.

All help support in name of human grounds must be done by appointed goverment so they are hold acocuntabble instead of finding 1000's of NGO around world, only goverment to goverment funds support must be allowed.

From a FRENCHMAN\nWe all complain about immigrants coming but there are 2 things we forget: 1. As long as we Europeans keep putting people that we’ve our interests down there, those countries will be deteriorating and people will keep coming up here in Europe or even in the US for Central Americans! 2. Let’s say we kick the butt of our migrants back to where they are from… well… we can do that for sure… but who cleans our office, who does the tough jobs for us while not complaining about lower pays and tougher conditions? Who build our stupid buildings here in Europe or even in America?? Who???? And who clean our toilets? If you guys want to kick immigrants, feel free to do so, but beforehand, tell your sons and your daughters to take onto those immigrant jobs! Tell our European and American or even Canadian kids to do those lousy jobs! With the spoiled way we raised them, how many would be candidate??? All of our kids all want to be “big boss” and earn 80k or 130k per year!!! Let those 49k jobs be for legal brown, black and yellow immigrants and let those fruit picking and construction work be for barely legal immigrants… \nThis is why I am leaving Canada soon as I am fed up with this hypocrit and superficial culture that is obsessed with money and where u gotta work work work and get everything you saved to ou taxes!! Fed up with the lousy and inefficient Canadian healthcare and transportation system (Europe has a much better one for sure). Plus who wants to end up lonely smoking weed in this lonely and depressed country anyway???

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. I don't mind that though we are used to it. I don't hate him but can he make a video for other countries as well ? how Many Chinese students who didn't even past the language test come to Canada to study and drives expensive cars even without working a single day ? how you bring a immigrant under refugees status from any country to match labor shortage, but who also has 5-7 kids which means you get 1 guy benefiting Canada with 5-7 person who will take benefit from Canada?.....

The govt let too many people in, you can’t blame one ethnic group.. if you open your doors and welcome people of course they will come. Plus Indians are hard working, most abide the rules, and after a generation their kids integrate. Good luck with the Palestinians afghans Pakistanis and Iraqi you let in.

So let me get this straight. It seems your problem is NOT with immigration. Bur rather your Problem is with NON-WHITE immigrants. What a shame journalisting , to sideline hardworking immigrants. \n\nRemember Canada is country of hard working immigrants. Do not forget that.\n\npls note,\n- Indians coming to canada are not getting free handouts from government. They followed process defined by gov to come here. Highly educated and pay more taxes. \n- Inter. students pay 3 times extra fees and work odd jobs to contribute. They do not get any free handouts either.\n- Infact Canada lured these kids and others to come here.\n\n\ninfact, You should blame and investigate on gov policies rather blaming other way.

The problem is theyve come, settled and not amalgamated. My kids school, its spot the white person. Sure some are nice, but they're shysters. This is not racists, this is me watching the last 20+ years. East Indians really have lowered the standards in Canada. No joke. They abuse the system and its part of why its a mess that it is. Even the Asians dislike them. Plus also they stink.

Yet we are the racist ones! They come to Canada but only want to live within their own communities. They complain about Canada's traditions yet put up 50' statues of their gods. They bleed our social services while dodging taxes. Flood our schools with non english speaking kids, flood our country with endless children while bleeding our social services and Canadians can't afford their own children.

They come in bus loads to our town in the summer to use our beach, which is no problem except they pollute they beaches, when and I say when they use the washrooms it's left a complete disgusting mess. Plus I won't mention other findings but will say you might want to not let your kids dig in the sand. Just wish they would not treat our country like they did in theirs
