Liar and this administration is just going to give them money, housing, benefits, and all the above for free. Then when you ask about our homeless problem, homeless vets, drugs, gangs, human trafficking, and everything else that's currently dividing the US, they will blow it off.

Just seeing this is creating an even greater hatred in my heart towards right-wing politicians who don't give a crap about these people and what their reasons are for wanting to come to our countries, even though them being here is not going to cause any harm or misfortune to our citizens, it's just the knowledge that foreigners are coming to our countries illegally, is the only excuse that these bigoted Hippocrates have for not wanting them here. \n\nAren't they so lucky that they were born in a country where they didn't have to worry about any of these problems, but sadly for these people this was not the case for them but they are just as human as any of the rest of us and deserve the same chance to at least not live in fear or in the poverty that they came from. And it is so ironic that these people use their Christian religion as an excuse the pass certain laws or forego certain amendments that gives certain minority groups equal rights or the right to bodily autonomy, yet they ignore all the vast passages in the Holy Bible where Jesus insisted on having compassion for people like this, but in reality these fake-ass Christian right-wing politicians don't care about that. I feel so sick even thinking about this.

The world was meant to offer free movement for all. For thousands of years, that's how it was. The current system actually hinders human growth and prosperity. Just consider the United States. It's made of many states. If there's a problem in one place or lack of opportunities, people travel to another state. Thus, people have opportunities to change their without there being any problems for anyone. No one in California is crying that people from NY are stealing their jobs and vice versa. Likewise, if people had free movement globally, people could escape troubles in one place and create opportunities elsewhere. When such a situation exists, God's blessings come too. However, the current way only makes people have to choose between the devil and some sea.

You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Please, if you are going to make such a video, live in Canada, all over Canada for at least 30 years, then comment, please!

We only have one life to live. And I have to admit to you all, we are in this world but we are not of this world according to the Holy Bible. We can't fix all the problems the World has and/or satisfy others. We all know that. It is your (one's) Life. It is best to make the best of it, as long as it is for a good cause. All Canada not only Vancouver it’s very isolated.\nPeople can’t afford to buy a house because the house marketing is 3 times the price compared to USA. The houses have shitty materials compared to my original country, and you simply can’t built by your own and that’s why every price rises.\nAnother issue you didn’t mention it’s there is no scholarships, it’s incredible expensive to get a proper education like university, and even so, they no offered scholarships. In Mexico almost everyone can reach the opportunity to study to be anything (lawyers, doctors) AND there is why you can get professional services everywhere. Here in Canada the business never have profesional services (like a real Human Resources, who studies for 5 years to be the best influence in a company, or a real engineering taking care of the machines in a plant. Canada only hire the cheap hand to avoid paying and I can understand it, but if more people could study more money moves in the country.\nAnother issue is there is not any public transportation into the cities or provinces, so if you don’t have a car, a driver license (it’s not easy to get one) and pay the super expensive insurance (it’s incredible 10 times more expensive than in Mexico) your can’t move from the place you are. Because of the weather you simply can’t move in a bike.\nPeople live just for pay rent, buy some groceries and buy some pre owned cloths in the thrift store.\nAnother problem it’s many rules to open a small bussines (like selling some food) \nHealth care it’s not exactly free: you need to pay for your prescriptions out of the hospital or if you never been hospitalized. And it’s very expensive to pay for them. So true 100%!!! Your fellow international friend from Serbia here. I was forced to leave home in late 90s due to civil war there. I thought America was dream and paradise where all problems cease to exist. Little did I know America is living nightmare and hellhole where real problems actually just started. Even financially wise, half of the USA population is so poor working for pocket change. Nothing left in the end of month. Everything is dark, soulless and tasteless. This is damned land. There is no life. Just work sleep and paying bills. There is no outdoor life. Even people you know you get chance to see them every 3 weeks. Everybody lives spread out from each other and work different jobs, different days and shifts. It's impossible to make friends. It's impossible to get normal girlfriend or any girlfriend. No human connection. No passion, no enjoy. Neighbors don't even talk to neighbors. Just emotional pain, loneliness and depression that can lead to SERIOUS psychological issues and consequences. While experiencing all this I actually thought something was wrong with me, like feeling of being under black magic attack, that's how serious it feels. I always wanted to live here and to see people from all over the world and hang out with them. However people here share same mentality, they are very reserved and alienated from each other. Nobody cares about each other here. People are also very close minded and hang out in their own groups like in prison, whites with whites, blacks with blacks and so on... People here don't realize they became androids and modern slaves. They put money first and left behind family, friends and love. It's best never to come here, you have to be an idiot if you think happiness exist in America. Stay on your own land.

Sir I have shifted to UK ..around 5 months ago...I spent around 12 years in Saudi arabia before.\nThe main difference between our country and this country is the PEOPLE.\nIts not the prices..the money etc that makes you feel better. The first step before understanding a conflict, let alone trying to solve it, is listening. Bravo to CBC for giving a voice to people who are in positions of leadership who represent the disenfranchised, the violated and the overlooked. One thing that can be frustrating about “not seeing a problem that doesn’t involves us immediately” is that we are locked in to our own worldview—and it’s frustrating to be asked to change something we ourselves don’t think needs fixing. The importance of just listening, and being witnesses to specific stories, human to human—and being reeducated on the lingering multi-generational consequences of past and current racism is what needs to be focused on, if you are an individual who feels like nothing is wrong. The task is merely to listen—and doubt your sense of comfort, satisfaction and preference for the status quo. Listening, and doubt can lead to change. Collective change can lead to understanding, and even, healing. It is so hard to doubt oneself at this level because “othering” is a very strong force in tribal instincts and dynamics. To be asked to let go of this seemingly real sense of self and group identity can be extremely unsettling, psychologically. I hope that is somehow helpful for people who are reading, in some way. I wish that our education not only reflected history accurately, but also made it mandatory to learn basic principles of psychology.

The problem here is people apply their previous experiences to future contacts. That's human nature. So if the last 3 times you dealt with a certain group of people and you got ripped off, the next similar person will be looked at more closely. Only a fool keeps making the same mistakes. Hey Yes there is a problem of racism in Canada too. They will not show directly but indirectly will do that at most of the places. My problem with women covering their faces is that that men are not allowed by law to cover their faces, so why would a certain group of women have this right. I realize that some people are asses....that will never end. But the term racism is thrown around way too much. First of all, it’s tribalism and it’s a normal part of being human. Any thing that is ‘other’ or different will be viewed with suspicion and or dislike. It will never be stopped, it can’t be educated away and it can’t be made to go away by immersing people in multiculturalism. Think back to when you were a child even...seeing someone who was handicapped would make you wary of them. Now, when those normal perceptions cause you to treat someone bad or as a lesser person is when it becomes a problem. That CAN be educated away. But to attempt to make people feel bad because of there responses to the faces on the computer is ridiculous. EVERYONE, regardless of race, will have tendencies towards tribalistic thinking.

The western civilization is familiar and understand the art of hypnotizing and self hypnotizing. Muslims are required to pray 5 times a day, regardless. Over a long period of living, this has similar scarring effects on the human brain. It becomes self fulfilling. Add to the hadiths within their learning, the instructions become mandatory. Consequently, they expect people around them to change to suit them instead of the other way around even though they are guests of the new countries. So that's the problem each country is dealing with. Essentially most of them are good human beings; the hypnotizing effect can just overwhelm weaker individuals and consequently create many major problems in some new countries. The plot went terribly wrong. Not only the ensuing wars (that we are fighting to this day) bankrupted America but we also lost our credibility as a beacon of hope. Before 9/11, our national debt was a meagre $2T. Today, it stands at a whopping $22T!! Nearly 50% of that is the result of cost of wars. It is time we ought to do our own soul-searching rather than make Islam a scapegoat of our problems for religions have always conquered civilizations from the dawn of human history. \n\nNearly 2000 years ago, Europe was largely pagan. And within a couple of centuries, it predominantly became a Christian continent even though Christianity at first was met with a lot of suspicion and mistrust among the pagans. Islam is now at a similar crossroad in the Western hemisphere. Should Isam replace Christianity in the West over the next couple of centuries (and it seems likely that it will), it would only mark the natural evolution of human culture and civilization. And does it matter what religion people follow in Europe or America? No. The French will still be French whether they worship God in a mosque or church. Hijab , niqab , praying on the streets,beards without a mustache , Arabic script ,and early morning prayer call in morning at the mosque ,are the tools to mock the non-Muslims, with a kind of sadistic arrogance which they hide behind our own democratic laws but which they want to change if not carve out a new Islamic country out of the host country when they reach a sizable percentage (which they do rapidly) but the problem is not solved because not everyone will go to the their new country , some of them stay back in the name of moderate Islam , secularism, human rights, and same new story repeated until the whole country becomes Islamic and shariya is implemented and the minorities under it are thrown out or forced to leave . So if the west has to survive they have to know the history of muslim around the world and not just Quran, the best example is India.

People want to blame this on liberals while not even shaming the president of Canada for not clarifying his statements.How long will we continue to falsely accuse an ideology that changed humanity for the better while not fixing the real problem,miscommunication from a politician?Not news reporters ,liberals,or conservatives or any other ideology that has created great societies.

Racism will never be gone because it's a normal part of humanity. It goes back to when we were hunter/gatherers and for safety you stayed with those like you. In the modern world it gets twisted and used for hatred. So really racism isn't the problem , hatred is.

I do appreciate what was said in the show but there other types of discrimination by employers, landlords, stores. It can be how you dress, how you wear your hair, what colour your hair is, if you have tats. For employers, your medical history: I was refused a job at a bank because my grandfather was epileptic and it was thought that I might have the problem. When looking for an apartment or house it really all depends on the owners frame of mind on that particular day, not your references. So it is invasive in all of our lives. Human nature is not all good.
