You really did a piss poor job here of distinguishing the difference between legal and illegal immigration. I'm completely on board with legal immigration (within reason). The US is a nation of immigrants. That does not, however, mean I support it being an open field day at the borders for illegals to come pouring into the country completely indiscriminately and unchecked. Stop conflating illegal and legal immigration.

There are at least 18 different ways to immigrate to the USA, and not all of them require applying before you get here, nor standing in line. In addition, depending on when she applied, the laws very very different. Ignorance is strong with these people.

Preach Senora❤❤❤ As a Filipino-American and A LEGAL RESIDENCE OF USA, ( Not a tourist using a tourist visa ) i have to go back and forth to the US immigration office in Philippines, i waited for months, stand in line for long hours a couple of times , interviewed by US immigration counselors, paid different kinds of processing fees, even had a seminar what to bring and not to bring in the USA,and a complete PHYSICAL CHECK UP AND VACCINATED TO PROTECT AMERICANS before getting in US soil..these happened not in one day only,takes months!! And i am proud AMERICAN ❤❤❤?

If she would’ve visited Mexico and had a kid while visiting and didn’t have the money for a green card it would have been a completely different situation. For those just because you got your papers do you not think that there are people that came here as infants or kids to immigrant parents that came to work to provide for their kids it’s not that easy to get your green card it cost thousands of dollars. Many immigrants that I know and worked with including myself, I came here as a refugee. Immigrants are the hardest working people I know. Unfortunately a lot of the ones that came here as kids grew up in some neighborhoods that are not so great and mainly are kids that were born here that are in gangs or doing drugs or violent so don’t blame immigrants saying they bring all this with them it was already here … drugs gangs violence was already here. Then they say they are taking all the jobs.. the jobs have always been here but people that are citizens are too lazy to go get jobs or keep jobs ( not all citizens) but the ones that are complaining immigrants usually come from villages without any media or drugs or gangs ect. Yes the woke media thinks that Canadians should assimilate to the immigrants coming here but they don’t think the immigrants should assimilate to Canada. That won’t end well for Canada. Canadians complain because they've only seen good throughout their lives. I, as an immigrant, appreciate everything this country has given me and truly love Canada from the bottom of my heart. Travelling to a country and living + working in the same country are 2 very different experiences. As well, if we deport asylum seekers to a different country, or make asylum seekers wait in another country as their asylum cases are adjudicated, the US government is STILL responsible for providing essential resources and ensuring their safety (this includes providing migrant centers) and the US cannot impede on their right to counsel - and by virtue of making them stay in another country that doesn't HAVE US immigration attorneys, this DOES impede their access to legal council, which is an immediate infringement on civil rights and a key reason why Remain in Mexico was challenged up to the Supreme Court and was kept from fully going into effect.

Yes, white people came to the new world and conquered the natives. For the next few hundred years they built western society as we know it. They were immigrants from different places, but they were mostly homogeniously white, and more importantly, they had commonality in their social norms, holidays, cultures, laws and religion. Then Immigrants from vastly different cultures started arriving and in greater numbers, and greater rates... Job availability, housing, educational/medical services, travel infratructure could not keep pace with the sheer speed and amount of people flooding in. Therefore, everything and everyone suffered, and it isn't stopping.

My experience has been different. Came at age 48 with family mostly for children future. Initial struggle followed by more than 20 years full time work in a company owned by Canadian but most of us working immigrants from different countries. Had a wonderful experience working as a team. Company grew from 5 including owner to about 30 when I retired. Most of of my contribution was from skills I obtained on the job. The flexibility I got was help to spouse and children. The three of them achieved good outcomes. Taxes are high. I never worried about that as children had professional education with no financial help. Only my steady basic facilities provided as I had steady though lower income than what I had back home in relative terms. What we get back from taxes we pay in health civic facilities education for children is great return of taxes paid. What I got was quality living. No luxuries. I do notice recent trends of immigrants expectations not very encouraging. I have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere friendship and regard for each other. My colleagues and I have been of great asset to the company we worked in.

First of all, it is because of Trudeau's open door policy that all workers are suffering from poor wages and benefits. Secondly, Trudeau has consistently undermined the COLLECTIVE BARGAINING of UNIONS‼ The middle class has been struggling for years. They are being stripped of benefits, fair wages and PENSIONS ! Pensions have become an unacceptable expectation in Canada! We as Canadians have been convinced by Government and Business that workers should take care of all that foolish Pension stuff themselves! I DON'T BUY IT ! Nobody seems to be pointing the finger at CEO's astronomical salaries, plus bonuses, fringe benefits. ie. Corporate Jets, Sunny Trips Down South. They aren't being stripped of benefits, earnings, bonuses or fringe benefits. Profits are for them, NOT to be shared with wokers. \n❌Liberal Trudeau is no different Conservative Harper, it is all about the top 10% ! I'm Eastern European immigrant myself growing up here I love the diversity going to school amd meeting people from different walk of life. Now all you see is Indians everywhere when you have one thing of to many is never good. On top of that Indians don't assimilate in the culture like the Chinese.

Nowadays many Indians do the same with other immigrants. Even with people from other States have to face racism. Its no different.

You come to Canada in huge numbers. It's not immigration anymore, it's invasion. You are culturally aggressive, you don't want to assimilate, and will not assimilate. You came here to build a second Punjab, you have different values than ours, many of you are dishonest, demanding, ungrateful. I have an impression that our government wants to replace our population. When I go to the park with my dogs, I mostly see women in saris and men in turbans and hear around a foreign language. I lost the sense of familiarity and don't recognize my own country anymore. And what is sad is that India will stay India with its culture and tradition, but our culture will be dissolved. Canada as we know it will disappear.

Canada is a country of immigrants. So the new immigrants look different and speak a different language and believe in different Gods. So what ? Did the original immigrants to Canada care what the natives thought about them overrunning the country back in the 1800s ? It is always difficult for a new immigrant to find friends immediately but most OECD countries such as Canada would be the same. Clearly there are some cultural issues to understand, and perhaps language problems but finding employment can be a first step to solving this as well as joining those support groups who have a similar background to yourself. If you leave Canada I don't see how this would be any different in the new country you choose to settle in.
