I’m in Vancouver at the mo, been here for several months over the past year (from London, UK) … I don’t think this is much of a problem (check the size of the ‘crowd’ at the beginning) in reality, just blown up by the usual handful of RW windbags … it’s diverse and friendly here … sure they need to build more houses … just do it, this is Canada ffs, not the uk … population density in Canada overall is about 4 persons per sq km, in the UK it’s around 280 … and I don’t think that the UK is even full, in reality. Governments need to stop pandering to the landlord class (of which too many politicians are a part and profit from the status quo)

Problem is not immigration but how we are settling new immigrants. In the 1970s Canada accepted 200k Vietnamese refugees after Vietnam War. They were settled into small towns across Canada. That is why even in a small town with population of few thousands, we still have Vietnamese restaurants around the corner.\n\nLooking at the future, world is becoming more localized. While politicians are calling for setting up local manufacturing, they failed to comprehend the most basic economic principle that we need a labour force to have any industry or economy. Rather than setting up a better program to help immigrants intigrating into our economy, and stimulating development in less populated towns and provinces, they only know to stoke comflicts and scapegoating...\n\nI wish mandatory Econ 101 class is given to anyone running for office.

The wealth taken from the people, usually funneled through large mega-companies where people get many of their basic needs met, does not stay in the neighborhoods and does not go into infrastructure, jobs training, and other programs that would actually raise the standard and ease of living. \n\nInstead the wealth is concentrated, finacialized, and a small portion is given to politicians to keep the system functioning exactly as it is for the wealthy at the expense of regular people. Increased immigration only makes the lack of these basic services more apparent.

My grandparents on my mom's side came over from Scotland after WW2. They bought one of the cheap plots that were available then, but then my grandfather BUILT their house. He was a tradesman (dual carpentry/electrician certified). Lots of that house is still original, with occasionally new paint, and looks new.\n\nFast forward 75 years and we're importing Business Majors and IT specialists to cities that need construction workers and trades people. The houses being built start falling apart before you finalize the paper work. If you DO have the skills and desire to build something yourself, there's a lengthy approval process ahead of you just to get started.\n\nHope you didn't come here with a medical degree, or a specialized certification. That's another long process to be approved to work here. Doesn't matter if you came from rural China or you worked in the US at a major hospital. \n\nLawyers, lobbyists, politicians, and landlords have destroyed the Canadian dream, and we're all sick and tired of it. Has anyone looked into the environmental impact of importing tens of thousands from hot sometimes tropical countries to cold snowy countries? You usually learn to tolerate the weather in your area so these migrants need to blast the heat and wear more layers than the natives. As a Filipino watching the economy of USA from afar, I think that no other politician has shown significant concern to help its economy except for Trump. He's pretty bold and not scared to voice out issues that make the democrats uncomfortable. It is not for me to decide who others will vote. However, I see a leader in Trump and he's not afraid to fight back. It's only a matter of time for the Chinese to create its own microchips that are of novelty and prestige. Their economy is of course stagnant as of the moment because many foreign companies pulled out from China. Nevertheless, do you think it's going to be forever? They will cope and soon establish theirs given their population and government financial backing. Trump was right to put trade war against them to regulate foreign trade as it did with Japan. All countries will suffer when the dollar loses the international prestige. It is fastly losing it's international reputation as of these days. If this won't halt, imagine a future where the Chinese RMB will be the basis of international trade. You don't know the real plan of the Silk Road guys. Americans are conquerors and we have adjusted with their ways already. And, the Chinese are conquerors as well. Their goal is to really surpass the USA. The rise of China has benefited every ASEAN member, but greatly the former than the latter. We can adjust with their ways. However, America and Europe may not be that ready to adjust their ways for them should they surpass USA. The USA has become complacent and too liberal where individual rights, although important, have gone too far-fetched. This has created entitled individuals who think they own the world. Now, look at the Chinese. While most young Americans are busy dancing in TikTok and the likes of wasting time for entertainment, most young Chinese are studying hard and upskilling. Let's remember that America became great because of its inventions and extremely the nuclear power. Without great minds, minds that are feebled by drugs and misguided philosophies, a society will crumble. USA can use its weapons and influences against other countries, but can it hold the progress of it's rival economy for the rest of the years? You guys need a leader who is competitive and won't back down from a fight. As of these days, given only two political candidates to choose for presidency, I dare say that Trump has a higher bidding for the goodness of USA. Of course he wasn't able to accomplish his plan before after you guys impeached him. How the hell can a leader complete its plan after being halted unprecedentedly amid his administration? Kamala Harris looks promising but not convincing. Aura, although unquantifiable, do speak something. Choose your leader and it will choose your fate. Let's hear what the two sides will share this upcoming debate. If I'm American, whoever wins that debate, wins my heart. As easy as that. You see, if someone can be defeated so easily in his or her country through debate, do you think that whoever that someone who wins will be able to compete globally? I have a feeling things are going to reach boiling point just like they have in the UK and legal migrants and their kids are going to get caught up in it with social cohesion going to shit. If the same thing happens here it will affect NY as a whole and taxpayers. Politicians really need to be booted out of office before that happens. As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power. But believe me, the regular people of Canada see what you're going through because it's also happening in our own back yard. The American politicians involved in this need to be jailed for 20 years , and I’m serious

In NYC, migrants from South America can go to 800 2nd Ave Manhattan and go up to the 2nd floor to the Embassy and get papers filled out, get a passport, get your reloadable debt card, medical, schooling, housing voucher and live like a king for a few months. Over 200 line up every morning here and several hundred a day go through to get this. Can we be mad at the migrants, NO. Though I can be mad at the government for allowing and promoting it. When I got leukemia from the job the utility company fought Workers comp and stopped my pay to starve us out. I ended up homeless with a wife and 4 children. All social services in NY could do was offer us $13 a day per child for food allowance and nothing more. We couldn’t even get Medicare. The food allowance was only for 7 days. It’s a disgrace how citizens are treated. Come here illegally and they offer you the world. These politicians need to be voted out. Social services was developed to help those citizens in need and it’s not happening. People need to realize that government contractors (usually family of politicians) are hired to help these “migrants” . These contractors even from the UN are in Panama helping migrants get here. If you research it you will get angry for sure. My elected officials in Northern NY know what’s going on and are behind it, they don’t even hide it.

It's not even just in Brampton even 1 to 2 hours away immigrant and international students take all customer service jobs to the point that Canadians can barely get hired into these roles because we have expectations and rights that we worked for and I've seen these immigrants willing to work for less than legal minimum wage and they do not stand up for themselves or work towards having any shared rights. In addition many politicians on both sides of the aisle are rental landlords so only stand to profit from low rental vacancies and cramming as many people into a small space as possible. They've also cut funding to a lot of post-secondary institutions who rely on inflating tuition cost for international students. At my current role on a team of 15 people plus one manager there are only three white people, born and raised Canadians. The rest are all Indians including the manager and will frequently talk amongst themselves loudly in Punjabi while we're trying to serve customers in the English language. That's actually against policy but Canadians are so outnumbered by immigrants and specifically Indians in this place that it never gets enforced properly. I've never been anti-immigration but it's gotten so bad in Canada especially in places like Ontario that I'm now against it and will tell anyone regardless of their skin color to avoid immigrating here. I've been on a wait list for a doctor for over 11 years, I know people who have died from cancer due to delayed referrals due to long wait list for additional screening, it's insane and absolutely ridiculous especially considering the amount of taxes I currently pay and have paid my entire life as a born and raised Canadian.\n\nAlso it's absolutely true every single one is either taking or has taken post-secondary studies in business admin or management. We don't need more people in these fields we need Healthcare sector workers and not a single one that I've spoken with which again is quite a few studied anything related to medicine Healthcare nursing... not one.

We need to start punishing politicians for this or nothing will be done.

Let’s be honest you really think when whites go to other countries they adapt and simulate into that culture? ?look look at Britain when they conquer India did they assimilate into the Indian culture? They were there for more then 200 years did didn’t assimilate actually look at Canada did they assimilate into the native culture who were here before the whites took over? They come here and want to run our country. But we say anything then we are in the wrong. As Canadians were getting pushed out and forgotten. As we pay taxes and fill the pockets of the politicians and those come into this country, we get left with nothing but crumbs sometimes even nothing at all. Canada needs to take back Canada.

This gov't can't do anything right. That's because they have a different agenda about immigration than what it's supposed to be. Initially, the Canadian gov't would take in a certain amount of immigrants per year based on the needs of the country. All immigrants were vetted from those that applied through the proper channels i.e. LEGALLY. Canada needed certain types of workers to fill a need in a certain industry, it would prioritize those newcomers with those skills and education. But now, it's a free for all and it has nothing to do with industry nor economic needs. It's instead all about the numbers of voters that are likely to keep the Liberals in power. That's it in a nutshell. It's all about power and control. Same thing with catering to special interest groups. The gov't cares nothing about hard working middle-class taxpayers. And if this creates divisions among Canadians, too bad as long as it fills their purpose of staying in power forever. And they do it by lying and using political correctness and punishment for speaking up as a threat. Canadians are now accused of 'racism', 'Islamophobia' and 'xenophobia' if they even question the issue of immigration. It's all a political game meant to keep the politicians in control, well fed and wanting for nothing while the hard working Canadian is stressed to the max trying to make ends meet.

As a fairly liberal Canadian, immigration is the only subject that makes me move to the center-right politically. We don't have the ressources to feed, house and care for 1.5 million new people every year, much less the Canadians already here. Justin Trudeau has been hurting the country with his open door migration policy because he's too scared to lose his brownie points from the far left. Any other politician is too scared to say anything negative and concrete on immigration because it's considered political suicide, but the tide is changing with Canadians. We don't want anymore would be asylum seekers or foreign students working and overstaying their visas because WE CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES ANYMORE. Yes, our birth rates are too low and we need some immigration to help close the population decline gap that will eventually come, but it can't be a free for all. We can barely afford rent, groceries, healthcare, etc. now and I fear it will only get worse in the coming years. At this point, as an early 30 something year old, I will never own a home or even be able to move without dishing out 60-80% of my income for rent. None of this is viable long term, we're reaching the point of criticality

There is nothing wrong with politicians being boring. One of the main pros for me is your free healthcare. I got a 5K hospital bill for 2 ER visits and the second one wasn't needed.

America, one of the greatest country on earth who founded companies like Microsoft, Google, Dell and IBM, just to name a few, now needs Indians to run them. As a 3rd generation Canadian it is so hard to have confidence in my nations future. The politicians don’t care, and the country is rotting from the inside out. We have no future here, majority of my university educated peers have already moved to the US for better pay and career advancement, and business owners like myself have moved or are planning to move away from Canada. It’s a shame to see our country fall but we need to look out for our own lives and are no longer patriotic for this nation

Blame the politicians and inability of whites to marry, stay married, have kids and raise them up to be Christians with values. In the end we need canadians to work and contribute to economy and our CPP.

We need proportional representation, referendums and lean towards direct democracy, better regulation on companies making records profits and cutting quality while paying lower taxes, investment in public housing and industries here, nationalizing our natural resources like oil so the people can benefit from the profits not just a few wealthy executives, and accountability for our politicians that don't uphold their promises or act in the peoples best interest, including those that are accused of corruption and colluding with foreign governments/interests.

It's a myth that Canada needs massive immigration, especially when Canada doesn't have enough affordable housing for everyone. The average Canadians aren't benefiting from immigration, only the corporations, fake colleges and immigration consultants are. It's disgusting the politicians are using desperate immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers for votes.\nThe future are robots and AI for most labour and manufacturing jobs. For example: Even the trucking industry will become self driving.\nIf the federal government stop taxing Canadians too death, and married couples will more children. Old stock Canadians really need to get back to raising children that value traditional families and not chase after careers and money. Put Canadian families first. For those who still think Canada is a huge country and we need massive immigration to keep the economy going. Go ahead lobby the federal government to bring in 10 million migrants from Pakistan and Afghanistan and put 2 million foreigners in each of the 10 provinces, right now. Then don't be shocked when civil war happens. Enough is enough. Canadians need to be like Denmark and Netherlands, who are saying no to massive immigration! Remember refugees and asylum seekers aren't supposed to work until their claims are approved. How many businesses are paying the migrants in cash? It's one thing if the immigration process was well organized and all the immigrates were working and paying taxes. But now the provinces are begging for funding to deal with all the new comers and only Quebec is getting support from the federal government. Most mirgants just come here to try to have a better life but in reality the politicians don't care if they end up on welfare. It's super sad Canadians are dying of drug addictions on the streets and the federal government is still insisting massive immigration is going to keep them in power or solve Canada's failing economy or prop up Canada's pension plan.
