In most of history, a country would consider this an act of war. Another country can’t just allow a massive flood of foreign entities into another nations borders and not have it be considered an act of aggression. The USA should annex Canada. Clearly, they are not capable of running their own nation and protecting their own borders.\n\nIf the US were to annex Canada controlling the borders would be easy in the north if you just shut down the ports and airports. There are no countries in north of it to enter from on land. No need to build a ridiculously huge expensive wall like some people are trying to say in the comments.

What’s funny is Canada is facing its own migrant problem. The amount of “students” and asylum seekers from India has over flooded our population without the housing or healthcare to handle this many people. \n\nYou have to love when governments don’t care about their own citizens. My family are Central American immigrants. The vast majority of them have been blue collar hard working people that helped shape what we live in today. I am first generation born Canadian coming from this blue collar family of hard working immigrants that earned their Canadian citizenship. I think most of us who have immigrant family from anywhere have seen this. I cannot necessarily say I’ve seen this type of work or drive to contribute from the Indians that immigrate to Canada. Yes there are some who really contribute, but that should be the norm not the exception. I don’t have anything against them, I just really wished Canada would be more diligent on who they let in and how many they let in. This is the result of just opening the flood gates. Canada has always been multicultural, but you gotta earn your keeps.

The government invited a flood of people into the country without having the necessary infrastructure in place—jobs, healthcare, housing—to support them. Now they're trying to cap immigration, hoping for a turnaround, but it's like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.\n\nCanada's drug and crime policies are an absolute joke. I also have an Instagram account where many students ask me about studying in Canada. I always tell them that if they're doing well in India, they should stay there. The problem isn't just with India's education system—it's with the unrealistic mindset of people wanting to come to Canada.\n\nWe see students desperately going from one store to another, begging for jobs that simply aren't there. Some even sell their land or property, especially in Punjab, thinking they'll find a better life here. But right now, it's just not worth it. When I advise others, they think we're living the dream in Canada while trying to stop them from coming. I moved to Canada 12 years ago, and the country has changed beyond recognition.

Immigration is a good thing when laws are followed and processes are adhered to. The influx of people over the last few years of liberals opening the flood gates has proven that Canada ca NOT handle this influx and it is going to get worse before it gets better. I think, by rights, the government needs to take a step back and start overhauling the student visa program that has been reported as ongoing through fraudulent activity. I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

Costs have gone to far average Canadians living on poverty I’m retiring soon but can’t afford to retire in my own country and must move to another country to live above the poverty level with taxes so high which will take 25% of my pensions if I move out of Canada ! Canadians are themselves immigrants in these lands. Europeans came in 18th century, took the lands from the natives and two hundred years after, they say, hey, immigrants from India have flooded “our” country, this is not Canada any more. So I checked the Canada Immigration page and this is definitely federal liberal government created problem. They have opened up the immigration flood gates wide by creating federal Atlantic Canada Immigration program where pretty\nmuch anyone without skills will qualify. Then they can freely live any place in Canada. But they still have to apply. Not just walk in and ask citizenship.

I'm a Canadian born senior, and the MASSIVE flooding of Canada with immigrants (mostly from India) is DESTROYING this country. As a senior I have been priced out of the rental market due to intense competition for housing with these newcomers. It has driven up inflation where many folks can't afford groceries. Do NOT come to Canada. We need to stop all immigration for several years until our infrastructure has caught up. Then resume at reasonable levels.

Yes, please stop moving to our over saturated economy. Canadas economy is not ready to sustain such a large number of immigrants. When you have an extra 451,000 people flooding in per year that require jobs in a very sparsely populated country you’re going to run into housing and job shortages, which increase demands, increasing prices and therefore increasing homeless because people can’t afford living and they can’t get a job because a requirement for being an immigrant is full time employment.

They all have fake admissions letters to Canadian academic institutions there are unscrupulous agents in India who are sending these students abroad to Canada using fake documents… this is what is really going own know they don’t want to leave so they are doing this ?. Too many Indians flooding into Canada and causing problems

The majority of these European’s fit into the cultural identity of “Canadian” obviously Canada is a close cousin of the U.K. and I’m sure Indians at first were fine, but in the last 10 years they opened the flood gates to every Indian and their grandma and now every province is becoming Brampton, Ontario but Trudeau doesn’t care he spends most his time in hotels outside of Canada.
