However, I got almost free housing and obtained my PR. \n\nThen I got a better job. There are plenty of jobs in Alberta where employers provide accommodation almost for free or completely free. The job may not be the best, but you can save money quickly. That's what I did. I worked another year for a sewer company, completed my trucking school, and now I have my Class 1. \n\nSome companies even pay for your trucking school, but you have to sign a contract for 1 or 2 years. They might not pay much, but hey, you'll get your Class 1. \n\nYou need to read more forums and talk with more people. Don’t just sit and wait for a miracle.

The woman at 7:34 is spot on. Instead of asking the government to make housing more accessible and affordable, people tend to blame immigrants who have nothing to do with housing prices. The government chose to support megacorporations in the private sector to lug their weight around and buy up housing like gluttonous beasts. Just so everybody knows this happened long after New York started bussing their immigrants from Texas into Canada. A country with a fraction of the economy and resources to support such a thing. The thing about Canada is the the unaffordable housing crisis is also tied to high unemployment and too many immigrants coming in from the Far East and Middle East countries. Now that they are closer to the US with the best job opportunities in the world currently it’s best to come here at all cost. While everyone is focused on the southern border, no one has been paying attention to the Northern Border and our Ports of Entry. Its been going on for years. \nThis administration is abusing things like parole authority and the asylum process. \nIt is a lie that the law needs to be changed, the law is perfectly capable of enforcing violations of Immigration law, and processing legitimate claims for political asylum. But this administration refuse to enforce the law. \nWhats worse is that the Northern Border has been stripped of Border Patrol Agents who are sent to the southern border to process illegal aliens. I live on the border between New Brunswick and Maine, and Border Patrol Agents have told me this. \nUnless your an American citizen, its extremely simple to enter Canada. Their immigration laws are very weak, at best.

Look at these protests, how many Indians do you see here representing other states of India. I'm a Nova Scotian in Toronto that went to High School and College in South Carolina then lived in Chicago.\n\nI agree with a lot of what you say but not on Chick-fila. It is just over priced now. in the 90s in SC it was so GOOD. \n\nMy only hard disagreement is our politics. Our politics are boring I agree but that is because classically in Canada, our politicians stick to the issues. We try not to make our politics a spectical like Pro Wrestling. Frankly, Canada is freer & more democratic. I'm no Trudeau fan but his government got their shit together for Covid and have really done an amazing job on the economic recovery. Where the so calll Conservatives are cozying up to some very extreme groups that talk a lot of herritage shit while crying about immigration. I would like to add something here to show my gratitude towards Canada. \nI immigrated in Canada and now a Canadian citizen. The best thing Canada has given me are equal opportunities, and system to adopt. \nWhen we immigrated to any country we should respect and obey the rules, culture and values of country. \nIt is hard to say but nowadays some kind of immigrants consultant become greedy and comming students also become blind followers that they are not doing research by themselves. \n\nCanada has very clear and easy to follow immigration rules that any one with basic education can read and understand. There is no place where it is written to give guarantee to PR or extension of the work permit beyond the limit. Usually anyone taking decision to immigrate any another country then obviously need to do some basic and easy home work. \n\nIt is totally not fare and ethically right to protest in the host country to change their clearly defined rules after landing despite of accepting terms while submitting the studen visa. So my humble respect to prospective immigrants and existing students that protesting to change rules in Canada should not be right way to do instead of protest against greedy and lying immigrants consultants who lied with you to save next students and immigrants.

Living in Canada since 5 years and never faced any of these issues mentioned in the video. Its a beautiful country with most polite and helpful people, one of the best work culture I have seen. We recently welcomed new born baby in Canada and medical care we received was top notch. Been growing personally and professionally in this land with grace. \n\nThe only issue I see here is growing number of unqualified immigrants which doesn’t help Canada and creates stress in Current system. After living in Brampton now for like 3 years, you can feel the change. Millions of low skill immigrants is just not an option.\n\nI have a high skill field and will probably move to the US for work in a few years because of the cost of living, housing, immigration crisis. But as a Country Canada has a right to stop or slow down immigration if it is in the best interest of Canada and their economy. Australia, Singapore, USA all have done that. We cant call it hypocrisy.\n\nAlso once you leave your home and immigrate to another country for study, job or whatever, you cannot expect the governments of those counties to make decisions favorable to you. In Trump era, USA was very strict on Visa policies and many Indians moved out of USA. My brother I truly love your channel but to be honest internet is open for everyone to view and hear so as the Canadian immigration officials equally listens to you and other bloggers. Once thing is when such information is made public the officials discovers and knows it has become knowledge thereby they chooses other means. I think the best thing to tell our people is to be truthful, if you are coming for tourist, come visit and go back and then you may have build your status to return and subsequently ask for permanent residency. If you are coming to study, go to school and graduate, then you stand a better chances of integrating into the system.

Immigration is doing more harm then good and I hate throwing them to the wolves, but I cannot STAND the look on my mom's face because we cannot afford a permanent home. I believe India is the best country to stay because:\n- Rents extremely high in developed cities . Property prices unaffordable in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. People are paying life long EMI till death.\n- Teachers focus more on Private tutions to make money. If you don’t take lessons from them, they will fail you in education system \n-Government doctors more focus on Private practices than their Government jobs. In ICU doctors sometimes sleep because they are tired for their private pactices.\n- Court takes decades to settle court cases. \n- Extremely high inflation - Food prices uncontrolled \n- Retirees not worked for Government getting hard time to pay bills specially medical treatment cost. It’s really hard for them to stay in big cities. No Indian government help and support. Government basically don’t care them. Only big big words at the time of vote \n- middle class working upto 11 pm to save their job , no retirement money- just surviving \n- After completing MBA, lot of job seekers land in selling target oriented credit card selling and driving Uber/ Toto \n- Ministers have so much under table money they keep their money inside the walls of their property \n- Sides of Highways full of Poverty . When we came 28 years ago 1st time in Montreal there was very limited south Asian immigrants. Health care was top of the world..living standard was best with less expensive housing & other costs.. Now we live in Toronto & after 28 years its a totally different country. Health care is verge of collapse. 6 to 7 hours waiting in Hospital, 3 hours waiting to see a family doctor. No housing for new people. Car theft is high in the world. Lots of drugs in young people. No job for immigrants while local born young people struggling to find jobs. Only highy educated from local universities people gets job. Food cost higher than US, Europe. Large country but 80% people lives close to US borders. Northern part of Canada is empty. Racism getting higher & higher.. All these problems started after Trudeau came in power. During Harper time Canada was top of the world. Trudeau adoped reckless immigration policy. He brought people here without developing infrastructure like new hospitals, schools, housing etc.. Now most of students are living in stress here. 4/5 people living in one room. No job.. Education tuition fees are very high.. Therefore, new people coming to Canada must do their own research before come here. 99% political asylum cases are getting rejected & facing deportation. Students will not get work permit until they finish their course & get a job from employer.. Trudeau time is over. Conservative party will come to power next year & they will make immigration tougher.

I have been in Canada since 2015, I always felt it was best place to be in. I got my citizenship in 2021. Things went downhill so fast, now I’m thinking to move back to India. Taxes are insane, cost of living has gone up so much you can barely afford a decent meal. Bigger cities is filled with uneducated morons from all over world, drug problems, healthcare is a joke - they planned for a million immigrants without thinking it will burden existing healthcare with no doctors and enough nurses. Neurologist appointment is 3 years waiting time - it’s not the same Canada it was 10 years ago.

Its crappy, I'm at the point in my life where me and my fiancée are making more money then we ever have, but its going no where. We need immigrants, we do not need this much. I go on tiktok and there are tutorials for people coming into this country on how to obtain free food, like from food banks and what not, spite the fact we have minimum funding requirements for students coming here. It sucks, because the minimum isn't high enough for somebody to actually live off, and its taking food away from desperate Canadians who really need it. Some of my best friends are immigrants, and it sucks to try to speak up about it, only to be bashed as a bigot or xenophobic. I'm not either of those things, we just have a HUGE issue caused by a massive influx of people. Its not the people's fault, its the failure of our government. I have no issues with anybody who wants to live a better life, I have massive issues with a government letting new immigrants experience a mediocre, and overpriced, life at the cost of everybody else's life getting WAY more expensive and difficult. My rent for a 2bd apartment in 2014 was $770 all included, Grocery bill was about 170 every two weeks. That has all tripled in the last 10 years, Legit tripled. *Only mentioning those two, because they have gone up the most, but EVERYTHING has gone up. (about 2-3x) Its crazy to think when I was making 8-10 dollars less an hour, I had more money, it went MUCH further.

Of course they won't say it. But a lot of the reason we have massive immigration here is because of corporate lobbying. It brings down wages across the board. Plus our monopolies like Bell, Rogers, Lablaws get more customers. The government says it's because of our birthrate but it's not, nobody in our government has foresight like that. As a native Jamaican, I can attest to the Canadian natives, that's how our government treats us also, they treat us as foreigners and strangers while providing all the best treatments to the actual foreigners.. A Jamaican has to wait for hours in a line even in the hot sun or the rain, while a foreigner would be attended to immediately as they arrive, and the list goes on, so I can sympathize with the native Canadians.. I'm not saying that they should not be treated with kindness and respect, but what about the born citizens?? Have they totally forgotten that the nation is actually the people, and the power that they possess was given to them by the people?? But on the other hand, some Canadians shouldn't be complaining, because they had it in their grasp, but didn't appreciate it, so it departed, and unfortunately, it seems it has landed in the hands of the majority of immigrants that don't appreciate it either.. But I'm sure there are some that really appreciate the opportunity.. I myself would, because I don't have it here in Jamaica.. So it's also partially some of the citizens' fault, but mainly the government's nevertheless..

Problem with Canada is not immigrants or the large number of immigrants, its the quality of immigrants which they are not able to attract, ideally they should attract the best of the best talent in whichever industry they needs human resources, and they should also cap that person or individual to work in that industry for atleast some number of years, before switching to some other type of job or business. Rather they are bringing any type of immigrant through any type of route whether job or education from around the world to study and work in their country. Its a total debacle for both people who are going to Canada and the native Canadians who are facing the heat.

I came to Canada to study, became an immigrant, citizen, worked, married, brought up two kids, now I am happily retired.\nI love this country. Canada is the best place to live. My children also love this country. We are all proud Canadian.

I live in rural Nova Scotia which is mostly untouched by mass immigration. When I travel to places like Toronto on the other hand, it is a stark reality. Immigration used to be the family that moved here because the dad had a trade or profession that was in demand, thus contributing to the economy. Within a generation, they are fairly well integrated into Canadian society. With mass immigration, you create enclaves where immigrants never integrate but instead exist in parallel societies. Rather than leaving the old hatreds and feuds from the old country there, they import it here and it continues. Immigration by and large is beneficial to any nation, especially when you are the recipient of the “best and the brightest”, ie. selective immigration like we used to do. Immigrants were accepted based on a matrix of traits such as education, trade or skill etc that were needed in this country. Bringing in millions of people without doing anything to improve your transportation infrastructure, housing, social services etc is just simply irresponsible. Even if we shut the door to immigration for years until we can catch up, it still would take decades. This is unsustainable.

My wife and I moved to Canada about a decade ago from post-Soviet states, where we both grew up with not much more than our smarts and a strong work ethic. When we arrived, adapting/integrating Canadian values, especially work ethics, was a big deal for us. Those first few years were tough, we really had to hustle to improve our lives. Now, a decade later, we're both in pretty solid tech and science jobs. Our child had the incredible privilege of being born in Canada, and that fills me with immense joy.\n\nIt wasn't just our own grit that got us where we are now; we owe a lot to the incredibly welcoming Canadians we met along the way. I'm thankful every day for the awesome, kind-hearted folks we've met. Canadians are truly some of the best people around, and despite lots and lots of issues, Canada is one of the greatest countries in the world. I know this because I've lived and worked across many countries on many continents . We, Canadians, need to keep working to make it even better. I'm proud to be a Canadian immigrant. Am I missing something here, Im not sure about open door anything, if you want a job you need to have work permit, if you are old and not eligible for working/holiday visa you need a visitor visa and look for an LMIA approved job ONLY, while already Canada, jobless, as a visitor, IF you get the offer its only then you can apply for work permit and after you got it then they hire you. is that how it usually goes? Or you have tens of thousands of dolars for a college you get study permit that enables you to work too. So, I dont see how is immigration to Canada easy and I have absolutely no clue how Indians and rest of the gang do it in such large numbers. Do they all just come on visitor visa and hope for the best? what about accommodation, money?

The Canadian immigration system is broken. I think i now understand why the US system is hard, and they only really attract the very best.

Canada is not produce enough babies to pay taxes and that's why we need immigration. Etobicoke-Lakeshore would probably be the one of the best ridings to get a broad range of honest answers about immigration. More would tell you #TheyHaveToGoBack. Try Belleville...they are more conservative over there. Brantford, Barrie, North Bay. All these cities have definitely felt it.

Everything is fragile you know. When you allow certain foreigners in a country and teach them to adapt to the culture, they get the best of living in a developed country by following their own personal beliefs. On the other hand, if you allow a huge amount of population at the same time from 3rd world countries, they become the majority, start doing politics, they don't adapt to new things, ultimately they will come up with extreme religious beliefs, their old culture, corruption, greed and can ultimately drag it down to a 2nd world country! Every country has more or less potential, the reason behind being so poor is connected to many reasons but at least 50% is because of corruption, their way of thinking, thus, mass immigration can never be a solution! Developed countries' leaders do not care about any people, they want people to keep their country's position economically high and now distracting the young generation with transgender issues with the name of so-called freedom. Maybe Western people now should start working on their life rather than taking everything for granted, maybe changing gender is not to be proud of or the only way to get attention but rather do something for your country, work, be involved in politics, be aware of life, travel with purpose, stop worshipping celebrities and understand the consequences of life in every step and you can be replaced by anywhere anytime!

I agree that the conservatives are not speaking about Immigration and I hope everyone can understand why they are not speaking about it. It is in their best interest to not speak about it. There's no need to make it public and have the mainstream media blow it out of proportion like they do with everything else.

In a small town, central Ontario. Our local grocery store, all the employees were/are from town… neighbours, who’d worked there for years, decades for a few. The ownership changed hands a few months back. All the employees (a third of the number that usually works a shift) are new hire immigrants, the cashiers recently arrived. Clearly they’re being under payed and do more… this is about the top raking in as much as possible. It’s a greed game. I wonder if corporations are bringing people in to be at beckon call, provide housing… like pimping. Canadians and new immigrants are the pawns in all their schemes. \nOh… and some of the best priced items that our family used as staples are no longer on the shelves! ?

No, nobody promised them anything; that’s just a big lie. They’re a hundred times smarter than you think and know exactly what’s going on. Now, they’re just putting all the blame on immigration agents. They all understand what they’re getting into and what they’ve signed up for. But it’s totally the government’s fault because they either know what’s happening or don’t want to see it. The best solution is to allow these students to stay and halt further immigration for three years to fix internal problems.

As a retired community college teacher I can attest to this so called 'international (immigration) students circumventing the legal system with the Government complicity, which by the way makes the afore mentioned colleges richer to the detriment to this country economy because is it not sustainable to have so many people with mediocre skills at best to inflate the labour work force artificially. For me it was not the cost of living, because I could easily afford it. The city has changed too much, there are too many immigrants now, there is too much crime, too much homelessness. When you start to feel like a foreigner in your own country and the place becomes unrecognizable, then perhaps it's time to consider other options. So like you I looked at my foreign options and it was the best move I'd ever made. For talented, well educated people, who have the courage to move to another country, this could be the best move you ever make, with all kinds of unexpected benefits which await you.
