This is the main issue in Canada. We are stuck in so many ways. Our economy is the worst in the G7, so we need to mass import migrants to artificially increase our GDP. But with that, our cost of living will artificially stay high from the increased demand on the housing. All while suppressing wages. All while our government refuses to increase our key natural exports, like crude oil, or nuclear materials. We really are in shambles. Really we need to rip the band aid off, and pause all migration from india for the next five years, not even allowing chain migration. Maintain a manageable rate of legal migration (the US normally has 1 million migrants a year as a high, to a population of 300 million). While getting our pipelines built. Stop the woke shit that is destroying us. Right now every housing project requires an 18 month pause to make sure that the native lands are recognized through a corrupt archeological study (ever since the residential school mass grave hoax). Build houses like crazy, allowing for one additional farm land residential severance. And then stop the regulatory suppression from the federal government on corporations. We have zero money being invested into Canada and it will lead to us having a worse economic outlook than Mexico in less than ten years. Imagine the world thinking of Canada as a third world country. That's where we are heading without some serious shift in how we approach our policy.

This problem compounds to so many other facets of the economy and it almost all stems from immigration of low-skill, low-quality people. The service industry takes up 70% of the jobs in Canada. This means that Service jobs can be seriously undervalued because there's no pressure on companies to provide a competitive wage. While the job itself is not high value, it's insane to me that the difference between a line coom and a store manager is 1-3$.\n\nNative Canadian students are getting royally fucked by this as they now have no way to assert their value over the value of cheap and expendable immigrant labor. Students cannot compete with immigrant students who have access to segregated housing at a cheaper pricepoint. Infrastructure isn't built to accomodate the influx of migrant workers and native Canadians are getting the rugs pulled out from under them. There is a severe lack of resources and too many people attempting to take them.

According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. We cannot continue with this.....every time one of these places destabilizes they end up on the CBC waiving their Canadian passports demanding the Canadian government do something to get them out. \n The Author of the video is correct. the infrastructure of Canada cannot handle a million new people a year. the Liberal government has exploited international students and temporary workers too much and needs to be reigned in. these policies and practices do not benefit Canadians, only landlords and franchise owners and the tax collectors are getting the benefits. you and i get inflated demand on rent and food prices. overcrowded classrooms and hospitals. delivery drivers who can't understand english and drive like maniacs. this is exacerbating the housing crisis in such a way that a single person cannot compete for the cost of a one bedroom apartment when a group of indians will share the cost with as many as seven people in one unit. our infrastructure, housing and transit was never intended to have this many people. there isn't even any rapid transit outside a handful of cities. mass immigration is also leading to election interference and could be used to vote in WEF garbage that will ruin even more nice things we take for granted. our high trust society is gone. shameless life hacks and citizenship of convenience is all most migrants are coming for. mass immigration is bringing down the standard of living in Canada. poverty and homelessness are out of control. whether its the chaos of crime or the eyesore of encampments. whether its was just a package on your porch or your car stolen from your driveway, the government isn't handling the load that mass immigration is putting on society and Canada's legal system is a joke. its almost like the Liberals are actively recruiting an army of psychopaths just to vote for them. the drugs and the gangs and the organized crime isn't worth the hollow platitudes and desperate social programs.

Go ahead lobby the federal government to bring in 10 million migrants from Pakistan and Afghanistan and put 2 million foreigners in each of the 10 provinces, right now. Then don't be shocked when civil war happens. Enough is enough. Canadians need to be like Denmark and Netherlands, who are saying no to massive immigration! Remember refugees and asylum seekers aren't supposed to work until their claims are approved. How many businesses are paying the migrants in cash? It's one thing if the immigration process was well organized and all the immigrates were working and paying taxes. But now the provinces are begging for funding to deal with all the new comers and only Quebec is getting support from the federal government. Most mirgants just come here to try to have a better life but in reality the politicians don't care if they end up on welfare. It's super sad Canadians are dying of drug addictions on the streets and the federal government is still insisting massive immigration is going to keep them in power or solve Canada's failing economy or prop up Canada's pension plan.

They love america.. they get good jobs easy over here.. most of them get better paying jobs than us citizens and they have no social security number.. They stick together over here, their people get them brand new cars, jobs and apartments.. When i lived in Charlotte many of the women from central america had an apartment, car and job within a week of being here.. Many of the women come here pregnant or immediately get pregnant. They can get free medical and food cards for their children when their born on us soil.. Construction companies, cleaning services, restaurants, salons and hotels will hire them before they hire people who already live here because of their good work ethic reputation.. High rent doesnt bother them because alot of migrant live in groups of 5 to 10 people.. That usually means at least 2 to 3 men working in the same home.. Thats 2 to 3 incomes so 1600 to 2500 rent is nothin to them..Not to mention their wives work half the time so thats another income..

Open borders is crazy for so many reasons... not enough housing, not enough infrastructure, and not enough healthcare, schools and jobs. Each person gets over $200 daily. Crime is increasing. People are bringing hate. Many are economic migrants. Why? The current government in power is listening to the UN about migration. Do they think these migrants are actually improving the economy? ? Do they think these people will vote for them?

This is happening in Australia too. I see homeless migrants and many are forced to live in bad conditions. They are not just house sharing, but sharing rooms!.

Here in Australian we have similar problems with migrants ,and they come mostly from Asia the problem is they unfortunately create mono cultures in many city suburbs,where they speak only their languages, and live like they were still in their native countries,and dictate to the rest of us what we can and cannot eat,in the suburb I live we cannot buy pork meat from the butchers. ,because they’re owned by muslims, they make little or no effort to assimilate,I think calling it multicultural is a wrong way to describe it ,A ??more accurate term would be multimonocultures ?

Biased reporting made to look unbiased. You should read up on forced assimilation and its negative impact. The aboriginals, first nations, maori. Dont call your country a democratic country because of your ignorance. everyone has a right to their language. You do not need to be included in every conversation if it does not concern you at all and between Indians who know each other. I strongly disagree with this video. Canada is still by far a superior country compared to US. The home crisis is common to UK, France, Italy and many other countries, even without migrants. Compared to the average US citizen, Canadian enjoy a better health system, a competitive infrastructure system, some of the best educational possibilities and a greater equality in opportunities. It's often referred as an European-like country, and its human development index largely show how a successful model it is. This video emphasize some points without mentioning how bad the US situation is (healthcare disaster, the broken municipalities of the country, the private debt explosion, the educational debt, the federal debt, the gentrification of the major hub, the falling of the dollar as a world reserve currency and many more)

And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

This country is utterly ludicrous. Bureaucrats and politicians exhibit sheer madness and political opportunism. I believe both Liberals and Conservatives are responsible for this situation. As a skilled migrant myself, my family and I migrated here 25 years ago. Let me illustrate with an example I'm aware of: A young woman obtained her student visa from Seneca College and arrived here with her husband and two children. Her husband secured an entry-level job (I believe that entry-level job should go to a Canadian youth), and subsequently, she brought her mother to look after their children. These children are enrolled in the local school board, and Canadians are footing the bill for their education. I don't know what economical benefit Canada is going to get out of this kind of situation. This is just one of many cases I've personally witnessed. I fail to comprehend why Canadians tolerate such foolishness.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I think that will help

Incredible that these destitute , homeless and drug addicted people have accurately described the causes that are responsible for this situation .\nNo more 1970 ,1980 or 1980 gta that was a livable, workable area , so sad . Inflation is higher than what they say.. real estate prices are out of touch with the actual wages and salaries.. cost of food is unbelievable… rent is ridiculous.. Wages are laughable.. taxes are insane.. we are also taxed on so many things on top of income tax such as .environment, carbon, plastic, sugar tax etc… it is insane.. Healthcare is going through crisis… Getting MRI takes ages.. So now they wanna bring 500k in the midst of all this ? It is going to screw us more .. I also feel sorry for the migrants who are moving out here with lots of hope and ambitions… I also feel sorry for us .. stress = mental health issues….. This government screwed each one of us.. what they are doing doesn’t make any sense to me. They are out of touch with reality.. Labour shortage? ? we have enough homeless people without jobs already. Canadians do not want to be exploited with cheap labour thats the problem. Pay canadians according to our economy and there will not be so many homeless people and more of these jobs will be filled. The government makes it an excuse to keep bombarding canada with more migrants as to keep the employers from having to pay more and keep labour as low as possible. Of course a new immigrant is going to do whatever job they can get, because they do not know the Canadian economy. You see houses with 15 people in a 3 bedroom apartment, 25 people in a house. I always wondered why certain houses had 6+ cars and I kept seeing multiple faces.

this is such anmisleading title. the shelter system was doubled in size since pandemic and still full. the poorest inthe city have themselves not been able to get in. no one specifically blocked migrants. instead, the demographics ofthe system is mostly migrants and the city every month houses many paying market rent for housing and the lowest income people in the city for generations without bwnefits themselves on waiting lists longer than a decade are increasingly on the street. who is also standing up for them? with the residents who live here already precariously housed and homeless, how can people expect a home and income available to all upon arrival? \n\nall i a, saying is equity among the longtime residents of the city and migrants to housing and shelter. with no vacancy, this rise in migration either needs ro be spread across canada with federal funding for alllow income people or slow it down. all people on odsp get $500 for shelter and migrants get $1675+ $400 from OW. \n\nthats the problem

More than half of US imports come from Mexico. Mexico has helped out the US in war many times. Mexicans help keep your agriculture up and running and for a very very low wage without a problem. Yes it’s illegal but your hard working Americans that own those farms don’t seem to mind, and prefer it actually. Mexico does so much for their lazy northern neighbors and yet yall treat us as if we were satan. On top of it, yall wanted these people in your country just to realize that they fit the definition of “dangerous mexican” better than actual mexicans. Look at whats going on New York with all those Venezuelan migrants. I swear yall are a joke. The migrant crisis will continue to worsen, because the countries that these folks are leaving realise if they treat them like ? they will eventually leave making their own countries more prosperous and putting the burden on others. These countries with poor human rights are just laughing at the rest of the world taking in their strays, but sadly nothing is done to stop them, because the world is too woke and their are so many people / solicitors saying you can’t do that.

I hope they pass the word around so we get fewer illegals and economic migrants. Canada has to get its house in order for its own people not for all the people coming without being properly vetted according to our “not so good” immigration Law. Our country has many serious problems to address and fix i.e., health care, military funding, police funding, housing, affordable food. We need our borders strengthened and we need a government that puts the citizens first, not a government leader who with his every off the wall action makes us look an easy touch for the criminal element roaming the world. An excellent example of that is the horror story that is New York City.

many new immigrants who rushed in thinking canada was some honeypot are now leaving for good which is the most compelling reason why canada is not a destination to immigrate! unlike US there are no mechanisms in place for new immigrants to succeed with higher costs, unaffordable housing and taxes jobs are difficult to find and on top it to adjust as new migrants it’s very difficult so yes the canadian dream is very much over for most immigrants, international students can go anywhere for education it’s not a canadian specialty as such but most students came to canada because it allows them to do work after graduation but other countries are also catching up with attractive schemes to attract these students so it does look like lesser students are expected in canada from now on…

Muslims should move to Muslim countries because of culture differences. Many western countries with large number of migrants are becoming a major problem because of the culture's differences, some don't have democratic values or believe in rule of laws. There has been an increase of crime a shortage of housing, jobs and is hurting the economies. Some migrants don't adapt to the new life or do they want to. Some western societies or finding these changes hard to except nor do they want to.

As extreme as it may seem, I think mass deportation is necessary, and we treat it like it is; an invasion. Poised to strike at the American economy to weaken our country. Now, if there are so many migrants seeking asylum, then maybe we need to look at what countries they are from and look at the humanitarian crisis in our own hemisphere. If these other countries are so bad, perhaps then we invade them, restructure them, and make them a part of a new alliance. We pull our production out of chine, move it so we don't need ships anymore just planes/trains/trucking and actually build up the greatest hemisphere on the planet.

As forth generation Canadian I left years ago and never ever want to return .\nGrowing up Canada was the greatest place to live but with years of Canada being flooded with a million new bodies a year it’s become a horror show .\nSure many coming are great people but they won’t stick around once they see with their own eyes the realities there .\nSo anyone loving to come to Canada are obviously from third world hell holes and are coming for the free stuff .\nCanada has new migrants from the worst countries in the world countries you would never ever dream of visiting but now those people live next door.\nI watched a YouTube stream from Toronto on New Year’s Eve and did not recognize my old Toronto the good anymore .\nRight at Yonge and Dundas the main intersection in Canada 95 % of the people were South Asian and 80% were male .\nThere was no Christmas decorations in Toronto just one sad looking tree they call a remembrance tree .\nDon’t know what we are supposed to remember what Toronto use to be when they celebrated Christmas and it was a White Christian country ?\nIf you can believe it Toronto doesn’t even have a New Year’s party concert celebration anymore ,just lame fireworks over Lake Ontario.\nMontreal doesn’t even have fireworks anymore lol \nTake my advice get the heck out of Canada move to Thailand where housing is cheap ,food cheap and people are nice .\nYou only live once don’t waste it in miserable Canada
