I AM an American, and this NEEDS to happen. A true test of American democracy is happening! Sometimes, when things look the worst, especially with this American experiment, we get stronger and better. But in the meantime, it all looks like shit. Trump is a bad head cold, a virus that needs to be inoculated. The antibodies are coming (free loving countries of the world -the American people). Stay strong and stay united, and don't give up! We are ALL in this together!

It gets real when leaders start speaking out. We Americans are so misinformed as a whole these days. This has to speak to something! WAKE up MAGA, we need our country sane not separated. On the big stage we don’t look good as Americans. We’re too busy fighting each other.

1/2: Myself and the saner half of the US that read, understood, and voted against Proj 2025 understands why they need to levy retaliatory tariffs especially as a Michigander who's lived less than 4 hours from Canada all her life, who has family in Quebec and Ontario, and is a job-seeking policy professional and international trade nerd who now cannot in good faith seek a job in the federal government. We have been looking and still do look to Canada as a model quite a bit and love Canada and Canadians to pieces. We Michiganders especially in the central and eastern UP and Detroit and Ann Arbor area are friends, coworkers, and family of Canadians. Some are even dual citizens. It is sad that it's come to this. \n\n2/2: I still personally just can't wrap my head around how a trade deal Trump put together himself and called the best (the USMCA in question) is all of a sudden so bad. Logic doesn't work with these types of people... I really want **someone!!** to ask him/ admin officials about the USMCA **to their face** and see what they say because I am so upset by this nonsensical and corrupt administration.

Full support to canadian people but not these 3 jokers. what trump is doing is not good, even india is not acting like this when bangladesh is operating like a rabid dog, however what real canadians should understand is that their country's current situation is because of this 3 jokers. Canada should appoint leaders that has atleast some basic understanding of geopolitics. Look at india right after meeting trump last week it has signed several deals with the EU, and even finalizing FTA with it by the end of this year. There was suppose to be a FTA with canada aswell but these jokers supported criminal illegals from india which india wanted back to face justice but these jokers defended those guys and even threatened indian diplomats, so even now you guys have time, exercise your democratic power and throw these three boogers and illegals out of your county. So basically Trudeau is saying Trump is imposing these tariffs for no reason? I doubt that, and look at how the so called allies are turning against the USA so easily. Good thing we don’t need them.

Trump isn't starting this trade war because of drugs. He's doing it for no other reason than to damage your relationship. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

President Trump was not bullying Zelensky but Zelensky was disrespectful to our President. “You have nice oceans so you don’t feel it now but in the future you will feel it “ is what Zelenskyy stated. How can you speak against your President who has done nothing but look out for Americans to defend someone who would be so disrespectful to our country. Zelensky also stated that Americans will bleed for his country. Why would anyone defend this blatant hatred. President Trump has tried to give Zelensky what he needs not what he wants. I think people need to understand that if you look at it from a business standpoint the US constantly gets fucked in every trade and as much as most americans want to be friendly with most countries they cant when you are forced to help other people outside your country before you can help yourself

We have been asking for years. Take a good look at the city’s and the numbers of family’s kids and adults have died yearly from this.100,000s have died a year. Lives and family’s have been destroyed and the crime that has come with it. We have been asking for years now they claim they are helping. We need to depend on Americans and America more this can be good for us more Americans buying and selling to Americans. All these countries have gotten the better deal with us for years. Now we want the better deal.Our tax dollars have gone to all these other countries now we say no more and everyone is anti American.

What I don't like is the millionaires that move our jobs out of our country to benefit themselves. My father lost a good manufacturing job because labor was cheaper in some other county. Pull the camera back and look at the big picture. The US has been divided sharply down the middle of the political spectrum. Canada has been crumbling under stupid political and economic decisions. This trade war is uniting the common people both American and Canadian and supportive allies around the world. Ridiculously proud Canadian here. As much as it genuinely upsets me that things had to come to this, it came as no shock. tRump has always been jealous of Canada - our oil, natural gas, timber, minerals, etc.. tRump is ridiculously jealous of our younger, fAAAr better looking country AND Prime Minister. \nSeriously though, Canadians ARE a proud bunch.
