Canadian universities should especially be held accountable! They are enabling too many agents to earn international tuition fees recklessly! Immigrants who follow the visa regulations and legal routes to naturalization cant be made the scape goat. Its always about the 1% controlling the money - both citizens and immkgrants are being made a foll of ! Realize y'all are 2 sides the same problem coin. Instead of fighting each other, hold authorities accountable.

Where will all these criminals go? To filled prisons. Big part of the problem. The fed needs to then get building prisons across this once great land.

Canada is so spread out that it is difficult to get anywhere without having a car . The airlines are all fleeing service to the small cities. That is a big problem for people who want to travel internationally. I remember when I lived in Quesnel BC in the 1970’s , there was a PWA Boeing 737 - 200 with daily service to Vancouver. Now there is no longer any flights to Vancouver from Quesnel . Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal are the only options for international travellers.

The bureaucracy you can handle it.\n\nI finished my Master's degree before the COVID19 started and it was SOOO difficult to get a job since after that they wanted only native German speakers (before with English was OK) - and I do speak really good German.\n\nBut then my friends started to have problem with racism and some people were not nice - and then all my friends left. So many Canadians in the same situation — perhaps use your Canadian passport ? so many better places for you to be… find a nice job across the border in the US — it’s so easy to get a TN work Visa, or work tax free in the UAE, or build a nice career in Singapore. I had the same problem with Australia — it’s my home, and my heart will always fondly call it home forever. Australia is a big country with small job market, generally ignorant (but nice) people and limited economic diversity. One gets proper civic amenities only in either Melbourne or Sydney e.g., top notch medical care, a wide variety of groceries etc. Taxation is very high and although some people will tell you “we are well taken care of…” that is not true nowadays. The Australian Government’s policies over the last 40 years destroyed manufacturing, the economy, working conditions and inflated the property market. A reasonable 2-bedroom apartment in a Sydney suburb could cost you Au$2000-3000 in rent or Au$500,000+ to buy — and that goes higher as you get closer to downtown Sydney. The problem is that incomes are not high enough in Australia and housing quality is less than average overall for these ridiculous prices. Food, tolls and petrol cost a lot, although Sydney and Melbourne’s fresh food markets give you better prices than you’ll find in most other cities. My wife and I had a combined income of over Au$300,000/year while we lived there. We finally left Australia and moved to the US because even with our relatively high income we could only have an average house for around Au$1.8 million, we couldn’t fill up the tub and have a proper bath because of water restrictions, our kids would get an average schooling and their only dream in life would be to one day own a house. We didn’t want to live like that, so we wrapped up and left for good. The US is much better for skilled people — I don’t mean plumbers, tilers, roofers or landscapers, although life is good for them too. I’m sure someone will reply to this comment about the gun violence in the US. All I can say is that in the US we have the option to defend ourselves whereas in Australia we are expected to quietly die if someone kicks us in the head, stabs us or shoots us. Quality of life is good here in the US for me and my family. Fly free, mate!

Nah, you're not leaving Canada. At the very least, you're not giving up your Canadian passport at least. You are leaving Canada because of the situation in Vancouver, where you don't even live?? Nah. you just want to be a non-resident and pay less tax. What if you can't travel anymore?? If homeless people situation bothers you, USA likely is not gonna be your choice...unless you're doctor or something. Then again you're not as far as we know. It's funny that some comments said Canada is becoming a socialist country and yet other suggest moving to Vietnam, a communist country (yes it's still ruled by a communist party) LOL. At the end of the day, wherever you're moving to, you move there because you can be a big fish in a small pond, and you don't need to face problems that the native residents there have to.

This is all a set up. The government wants more lower paid worker's so big corporations can make money. Then certain parties propogate their racist its the immigrants who are the problem. Riot against the govt not the immigrants. The govt should spend money to update infrastructure and housing. But that costs money and that money goes to big corp.

The problem here is that the roles that are required to be filled are expecting experienced people or roles in high demand such as on nursing and medical services.\nFrom my POV German employers are cheap Bts, they don't like to compete with other employers on wages, and German Governments have obliged and effectively changed the labour market rules to favour a race to the bottom on wages. In many ways the merchantile policies to lower labour costs are there to keep domestic demand low and the economy focused on exports. This means that the wealthy families that run the big companies will only get richer while the common folk will struggle.

Racism is a big part of the problem. A lot of Germans are racist but they are oblivious to the fact.

A boat can only hold so much before it sinks. Canada already had a big housing and unemployment problem. I know people would love to be altruistic but you will end up drowning. It’s the same thing in the US and Europe.

Some companys won't hire people with an immigration background. Wages are very low and living costs depand on what region you are living. Racissm is also a big problem in case of your security.

Btw the same can be said about mass tourism, don't know if Canada also suffers from that. Me being Portuguese and having family also in Spain, both countries are suffering from both problems. Some migration and tourism may be a positive factor, but not massive and uncontrolled ones.\nIt wasn't a choice by citizens of any country, but by the transnational elite and its bureaucrats. A big part of the problem in Ontario at least are the huge numbers of foreign students.The government of Ontario allowed a large number of fly by night schools to open up to attract foreign students with the promise of a high quality Canada education. The schools charge the foreign students very high tuition, but give very poor service. They have no student housing, no proper campus and often don't even have classrooms or lecture halls that can handle the number of students they have enrolled. The students end up paying a fortune for a second class education, it is little more than a scam.

There are dying towns all over Canada with vacant buildings / houses. People for whatever reason only want to live in the big cities that’s the problem.

A big part of the problem is immigration policies that allowed too many unskilled immigrants who had no or little ability to support themselves. Most legal immigrants before had sponsors who were financially responsible for the immigrant for ten years or the immigrant had skills or means to support themselves while also contributing to their new society rather than always taking and worse complaining about it

They are the ones who launder their money through Canadian real estate and make Canadian living costs rise. They use Canadian real estate market for speculation and live off flipping houses and condos. For every hundred people who are looking for the same job there is sn employment problem. For every hundred people looking for the same apartment you have a rental problem. For every hundred people looking to buy the same house there's going to be a housing problem. For every hundred people looking to take the same thing as the other hundred people you have a society with a big problem. In many cities daycare is a big problem because of the number of new people coming into the country and replacing those who are already in line for social services. Language services replace the priority of local citizens who have to move to the sidelines in order for new comers can be equal but when too many people are coming into the country things will never be equal. Anyone coming to Canada must be fluent in English so as to not put a strain on local social services..

Consider whether this is a Canada problem or a big city problem, federal or municipal, including all downstream issues. Also consider who uses this issue to drive a populist wedge to win elections.

As a Canadian - the immigration tom-foolery that is happening is just as bad up here. Our Prime Minister is a handsome idiot, he was a drama teacher before he became Prime Minister (I know, make that one make sense). He has no idea what he's doing, he's being used as a puppet for more experienced extortionists-erm-politicians. With the help of his party members and a coalition with another party, in less than ten years he has taken Canada from a great place to visit and live to basically what's happening in NY. Crime in our cities has gone up dramatically. Theft is on the rise. Homelessness and drug use is through the roof. Immigration is out of control. And our government also prioritizes immigrants and asylum seekers before born and raised Canadian citizens. As a Canadian who is tired of the nonsense that's been happening in the world this past decade, I wish our government would put on their big boy pants and do something about this uncontrolled immigration. Things are bad here too. Our government seems to keep changing policies and laws to further accomodate the insanity that is happening, I promise, not every Canadian wants these changes to happen. We are just as sick and tired of all this nonsense as our American cousins. I wouldn't be surprised if both countries at some point united in objective and worked together to fix this problem - but that's not gonna happen anytime soon as long as these dummies are in power. Hmm I feel so bad for everyone involved in this. I don't really want cartels going over the US border but I really don't mind all the people fleeing from countries that are even worse then the US. So many of them have such horror stories from their native countries. And if they're willing to work here I don't think there should be really a problem. They don't know economics that good. Number one problem labor unions, wage increases, tax increases, run up prices on produces and services and slowing down the economy with less workers working. Number two government thought they could combat inflation and wages increases with taxes. I don't even know why they gave the labor unions wage increases during the pandemic when they knew they would strike as soon as they took it away from them. Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

Many of the facts were some % wrong. Although I love India and happily worked in India for almost decade, but lifestyle and personal life is better in Canada, because in India big business tycoon says people should work for 15-18 hrs. Personal life put on shit. It’s not easy to settle here easily and definitely have to struggle a lot, and that is same in India if u are builting things by your own and not on with family support. Homeless people are being provided with proper shelters and money in Canada, but being druggist they don’t live there. Skilled people here are not struggling much, but if u go in comfort zone and continue with basic jobs, u eventually will struggle. People don’t wna go to distance city, hence all problems.

Why is everyone that works at Zara in Sherway Gardens and Square one a foreigner a lot of them tell me they are full time not even students. It’s a scam. Those retail jobs when I was young were for high school students and uni students. So sad that our kids can’t find jobs. It makes me angry. Pierre needs to speak up. It is because any first generation will have a struggle in any new place or country.since we were born in families where house was not a problem in india we think its easy. May be just move to a different city like move to Delhi from punjab and buy a home there. Can a youg guy in his 30’s take a loan from bank in india and make those big EMi’s in india which is about 30 to 50k a month in india.?
