Australia ended it's birth right citizen in 1981. Now, the babies born here have to have at least 1 parent who is a citizen or PR, in order to be a citizen. The slogan “Make America Great Again” is very nostalgic, but times are different. If the US imposes these tariffs, it will be to the benefit of China. When American products were undoubtedly superior to the rest of the world, imposing tariffs did not work in the 1970s. Today, it would become less competitive, there is very strong international competition and Chinese products would benefit. To make America great again, we must look to the future, not the past.

I am a Documented Legal Alien and married to an American citizen. I choose at this time to not apply for my citizenship as i dont want to have to apply to my own country of birth to enter again should i need to visit relatives there. However i have lived happily now for 20 years in the USA and have never looked back. We did our immigration LEGALLY and as much as i dislike D Trump. I do agree that undocumented Aliens who live here and married to an American' should not be here. We have the same issue in the United Kingdom and its far harder to deal with there, and there is an Ocean surrounding it.
