To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

But Mr Singh, if you are in the public life and want to become a leader then you must clear your stance on Sharia law, almost all Muslims are in favour of Sharia law so if this white man wants your comments on that then you must clear the air, even I myself being a Sikh has very serious concerns about ideology of Sharia law, there can be no two rules to govern different communities in the the country, so don't look for silly votes only and be bold to clear your stand

Yes I ran into racial profiling when I wanted to ask why CBC is biased and won't report fairly. Being white and male, I was told that my opinion is invalid, and in spite of the taxes I pay for their wages, I don't have any say. Moreover, because I am male, CBC's supreme leader Trudeau has dictated I am not allowed any sort of platform. This is an important issue! Why do you think these sterotypes are so prevalent CBC? Crime statistics? Day to day crime by certain groups? CBC hates the question why because it conflicts with their bias as mandated by identity politics. Once I can walk through any place in Canada and not simply see, with my own eyes, the obvious differences between people based on color, or am treated like a direct decendant of slave owners by our state run media, maybe then the forty-thousand years worth of tribal cues ingrained in me will change. Are there really no examples of white men changing the narrative? No exmples you can provide for us devils to follow? No studies on private donors who are trying to help? It angers me what this man has done to his family. How do you claim asylum in a country when fleeing from a country you came to illegally? Immigration laws are very important and protect citizens of a country in many ways. The US welcomes immigrants with open arms when they come here legally. These individuals want to challenge our rights to protect our people, our country. This family may be no threat to our country but if laws are not followed it opens the way for the wrong people to enter. I’m so tired of this manipulation. This man is responsible for the pain his children are going through.. not the countries standing by their laws to protect citizens and legal immigrants. If you know something is wrong and you do it anyway how do you then blame someone else for the consequence? Aside from this.. when do people start taking a stand and making positive change in their own Home Countries? Tolerance is not a one way street. Canadians (and other westerners) should wake up and realize that, and also form a basic understanding about the evils of islam, that muslims stand for.\nMany douchebags and pseudo-liberals of the Ben Affleck kind, will go to great lengths to defend islam and muslims while knowing absolutely nothing about that religion or its followers, with the only purpose being to selfishly display how PC they are. A true liberal person will value their acquired freedoms and privileges, and not be tolerant of the intolerant. Furthermore, real leaders should not be afraid to bring these points up, backing them up with hard evidence (not just hear-say or opinions), for the purpose of protecting civilised society: so that muslims and non-muslims all can understand why islam is incompatible with western civilisation. If muslims are offended by any of that, then that offence is brought on by themselves. PC has no place here.\n\nHere are some reasons why islam is incompatible with civilised society:\n1. Muslims consider the quran to be the perfect book and their prophet to be the perfect man, who's behaviour is to be aspired to, so perfect that any imagery of him does him great injustice and is forbidden. Other than being plain stupid, this in itself doesn't affect civilised society much (except free speech when drawing cartoons), but this does becomes a critical point in combination with the next points:\n2. A perfect man does not marry a 6 year old girl and then f*ck her when she's 9. But that's what their perfect prophet did and they know it, often justifying it as being in a different time. Well no time ever has been ok for a 50+ year old man to f*ck a 9 year old. \n3. In this religion that muslims consider perfect, apostasy is to be punished by death (quran 4:89). This combined with the fact that muslims consider their religious doctrines more important than man-made (western) law is something that makes them incompatible with civilised society. Of course they benefit from the civilised society, but not vice versa. \n4. Then there are the many verses in the quran that order muslims to fight non-muslims (and specifically jews), order death for adultery and homosexual behaviour, etc. Just search and you'll find as there are way too many to list here.
