2025-03-04 0
People in the comments might want to ask themselves why is Trump's approval rating going up up and up

I'm no American neither Canadian but if you want to fix the rift go meet trump and tell him you assigned part of your defence budget in manning the border to counter this fentanyl issue.\nThen again the fentanyl might be an excuse but I would do it still had I been Canadian leader

Watch what you say bro, you might not have a country.

Donald. I am a 77 year old Canadian who has suffered cancer and heart disease. According to you, you’re in great health. You outweigh me by 50 lbs. so, I challenge you to step into the boxing ring with me….I am not a boxer or fighter in any way shape or form. I might die in a fight but I am willing to step into the ring with you, Mr. Tough Guy. I hope you’re not too much of a coward to accept this challenge. If I win, you cancel the tariff war. If you win, go to town with your tariffs.

Canada’s 25% Tariffs? A Win for American Businesses in the Long Run\n\nAt first glance, Canada slapping a 25% tariff on U.S. goods might seem like a negative for America. But in reality, this move could actually work in our favor by making the U.S. economy stronger, more self-sufficient, and less dependent on foreign markets.\n\t1.\tBoosting American Manufacturing & Production – When Canada makes U.S. goods more expensive with tariffs, American businesses have a huge opportunity to shift focus to domestic markets and new trade partners. This could bring more production back home and reduce reliance on Canada.\n\t2.\tEncouraging Trade Diversification – The U.S. isn’t limited to Canada. If they want to play hardball, we can expand exports to other countries with fewer trade restrictions. Canada makes up about 15% of U.S. exports, but the rest of the world is wide open. This is a chance to diversify and strengthen our economy.\n\t3.\tMaking Canada Pay More for U.S. Goods – Tariffs don’t just hurt exporters—they also raise costs for Canadian consumers. If Canada wants American products, they’ll end up paying more or have to settle for alternatives that might be lower quality or more expensive from other countries.\n\t4.\tStrengthening America’s Negotiating Position – If Canada wants to raise tariffs, that gives the U.S. even more leverage in future trade talks. The U.S. economy is far larger and more powerful than Canada’s, and in the long run, they need us more than we need them.\n\t5.\tReducing America’s Trade Deficit – If fewer goods are exported to Canada, that means more products stay in the U.S. This helps lower dependence on foreign markets and could even stabilize prices for American consumers.\n\nBottom Line: Canada’s Move Hurts Them More Than It Hurts the U.S.\n\nIf Canada wants to put tariffs on U.S. goods, let them. In the long run, it pushes America to be more self-reliant, strengthens our industries, and forces Canada to pay the price for their own policies.\n\nAt the end of the day, America has the stronger economy, better resources, and more trade options—Canada needs U.S. trade more than we need theirs. If they want to make American goods more expensive, they’ll feel it a lot more than we will.

What if, The reason whyTrump is so eager to please Putin because Russia played a key role in helping him win the presidency ? manipulating the system and shaping public opinion through a massive online troll campaign and widespread disinformation? If that’s the case, he might feel indebted to Putin, starting with his actions on Ukraine, then moving on to lifting sanctions on Russia, even if it means harming U.S. allies in the process.hmm

Oops the Yellowstone pipeline might have some difficulty operating ,... ?

Way to go Canada ??. I don't think the U.S. needs to worry about immigration but Canada - you might need to build a wall for the mass exodus from states.

Hey Canada, you guys looking for a Plumber up there? The weather might be colder, but the hearts are warmer.

Msr. Trudeau, Might immigrate?

I think it is time to use all the unused land to grow our vegetation and any thing else that gets planted to use for the Canadian. We do have the brain and the finances to grow our own fruit even if it takes a couple of years for the plants to produce the vegetation to supply the need. We need to manufacture our own goods. It is only one simple issue we will face but it is one we can handle! Oil, gas, car parts and cars...do it here and get some of the unemployed individuals Living on Provincial Checks off their butts and put them to work. (any that can at all} It might just surprise people at how many would have a reason to get up in the morning and the self confidence they need to get rid of the very thing Trump said was killing US people and stop it from coming in from the US! If we are going to tell it lets tell the truth!.

And now there’s word that Trump might “meet Canada and Mexico” half way and re evaluate the tarrifs. He’s gonna do this because “he’s a fair guy” and the craziness of it is that it’s a crisis he created. It’s like setting houses on fire and taking credit when you put the fire out. I don’t care what Trump’s move is next, I am done with USA. Can not and will not trust them until Tump is gone.

Trudeau's already resigned, so what's a few more lies from his lips now? Might want to get your military built up, buddy.

18:03 \nTarget: We’re paying tariffs due to purchasing from these foreign suppliers. We have a choice: Find a domestic supplier with comparable prices or pay the increase to tariffs or the smaller increase from switching to domestic. As such, there’s only one thing to do to maintain the profit margin. That thing is raise prices in our domestic locations.\n\nAlso Target: We could also make public statements about the products we sell and what it’s like trying to find an adequate domestic buyer — but if we say something that makes the President’s decision look bad, dear leader might do something even worse for our company and actually cause problems for the CEOs.\n\nStill Target: In the mean time, we’ll wait and see how loudly people complain about prices and wages before we do anything drastic (I.e., anything at all).

Canada and Canadians you're the luckiest bunch on the face of this earth. If trump didn't mess things up this early you might have elected maple maga and bonjour disaster. This trump blunder was a blessing in disguise. Never ever play with your cherished liberties and democracy by giving control of it to fascist leaning political party. Go Canada❤

I think King Charles might have something to say about losing Canada as part of the Commonwealth of nations. He might even withdraw his invitation of a state visit.
2025-03-04 0
At the rate Trump is quarreling with his allies, it's not far fetch to say that he might not be able to finish his second term in office. He may be assassinated or overthrown by the military.
2025-03-04 0
I'm sorry, Mr Trudeau. I don't think Donald understands working together, fundamentally, as a concept. Appeals to partnership and friendship fall on the deaf ears of a narcissist. Are you still accepting applications for new provinces? I heard you might be interested in WA state or Oregon. Asking for a friend.

So Toronto Raptors might be removed from the NBA.

This idiot Wolf Blitzer has done nothing but tank CNN's rating for the past 20 years so ya might want to stear clear of his opinions. I hope he retires in Canada.
2025-03-04 0
As someone on the right of the political spectrum, I never thought I would ever agree with a word that Trudeau says.\nAnd yet here we are. He's right. Absolutely right. \n\nAnd time passes. Where we are today might not be where we are tomorrow. Ok, go and shit all over your closest friends. But understand that the world can change very quickly. You might one day need that friend.

As an American, let me respond with, I don't need anything Canada is exporting. Pretty sure this will hurt Canadians far more than it's gonna hurt Americans. For those of you on here that might not grasp the situation, Canada has a higher value of exports into America than America has exports into Canada by over $100 Billion. Good Luck Canada.

And just for the record, I was hoping to get a few hours of paid work at the liquor store and now this just might be a game changer you know? So hard to get a job in this country… I suppose it depends on what kind of species of canine you are… Last time I was a bulldog I got flipped after six months of work. Sucks balls.

Same problems with Africa, Puerto Rico and Nicaragua if it keeps up and I can’t get a job in this country and earn a living wage, or a job that accompanies my need for pet friendly work I think I’m gonna have a mental health issue. I might need to move to Nashville, Tennessee.
2025-03-04 0
One assumption would make several mysteries solved: Trump just might be in Putin's pocket; whence Canada is his enemy.

Trump needs stop using blackmail and strong arming mafia tactics on his allies. He might get what he wants, but burning lots of bridges while doing so.

Americans take note. \nCanada has a small population. It is a trading nation. Canada does not pretend to other countries that it is a friend while behaving in treacherous ways. Your minions and hypocrites, Vice President James David Vance and Senator Lindsey Graham should also take note. \nCanada and the United States have been trading with each other for over 170 years. Circumstances and proximity made Canada rely on trading with its neighbour, the USA. In 2024, 75.9% of Canada's total exports went to the United States. \nWas it convenience or laziness that made it so, or Canadians’ trust in America being a fair partner? \nPresident Donald J Trump, you have insulted Canadians and the whole United States will harvest the consequences. \nYou had negotiated the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) calling USMCA the best deal, and recently you called your deal the worst deal. \nYou can be the Manchurian Candidate as much as you want. You seek to destroy Canada. Go ahead, do your worst. Keep being manipulated by the Putin and Musk of the world. \nThis is the last time you will use this closeness between Canada and the USA to hurt Canada this way. Does not matter how long it will take, Canada will diversify its trading practice to foolproof itself from future fools like you, elected to the oval office. \nNeighbours, Canadians will remain, there is no way of moving Canada to a different place on this planet’s map. Canada may remain an economic partner, but a close friend, you can forget it. \nThere is a motto on the licence plates of vehicles of Québec (in case you might not know Donald, it is a province of Canada, not part of your fantasy 51st state). Since 1978 the motto says: “Je me souviens”. In English it translates into “I remember”. Canadians will remember what America is doing to them.

I hope Justin Trudeau comes back as leader of the Liberals in Canada. Of course he has to do some reflection as to where he might have gone wrong, and to learn from his mistakes. Perhaps learn how to make better decisions in the interest of Canadians. It's brilliant the way Trudeau is handling these crises for his country created by none other than thug, convicted felon/rapist/liar/insurrectionist Drumpf. Justin Trudeau is an educated man who speaks two languages fluently. Drumpf on the other hand is poorly educated and can hardly speak one language which is supposedly to be English. Drumpf can only yell, lie, slander and insult. What an oaf

Ummm just an outside the country thought! You guys are really underplaying the putin/trump thing! You're all like.... well, Trump ADHD oompa loompa might be getting played! Seriously you guys are not thinking big enough! You could absolutely guarantee Putin has ? on Trump! Why else has Trump done a 360! Now someone go find out what he has on Trump so the rest of the world can stop watching the worlds slowest car wreck in real time! \n Signing off from the other side of the world ??‍♀️

All of these comments praising Trudeau have the memory of a goldfish. This guy praises Chinas communist leadership and also spoke highly of Fidel Castro. Let’s not forget the pandemic. Of course the tariffs might hurt in the short term but you fools can’t see the long game. Bring back more jobs to America and import less. Tariffs will allow for tax cuts.
2025-03-04 0
Being that he intends to remain in office past his 4 yr period, this only gonna get worse. \nSo bad you might never be able to recover and bring democracy back.\nAmericans are in deep ?.

I’m with Canada. Thanks for not being mad at the people like me. And letting our government hear the truth. American might need to flee to your country!!! We are ?

I was a big fan of Trump, his administration and policy until last, week and now. I came to realize DT take things personal at times. I might be wrong, just my thoughts

Trump's goal is to start an actual war with anyone who'll have it, including our closest neighbors and allies. The reason is that wartime presidents have more power and he doesn't care who stands in his way. He's going to use that power to detain journalists and jail political opponents ahead of the midterms claiming them to be traitors, then he's going to set himself up to run for a third term. If he succeeds, he'll have total control. Democratic leaders will be in jail, journalists will be silenced, and the national guard will forcefully search your home for any second amendments you might have lying around as they deliver our ballots at gunpoint. How do I know? Because that's what tyrants do. The US is in the midst of a political coupe and it's imperative that the situation be viewed from that paradigm. Drop any pretense that this administration is anyone's ally, they're not. They're a rogue administration attempting to seize total control of the US.

I think we will be just fine and proud of my president for his actions it might hurt a little but not as much as it will you. Good luck. We are tired of getting taken advantage of

Sec of Commerce said Trump might rollback tariffs against CAN & MEX during State of Union address tonight AFTER NOT EVEN 1 DAY!!!
2025-03-04 0
Trump and his lackey's are a stain on the country and whatever legacy it might have. Imagine siding with a murderer and dictator like Putin let alone starting a trade war

Hahaha we want to be friends you know like the ones who never have their wallet. The kind of friends that screw over their own people with laws and rules that the supreme leaders decide is “hate”. \nBoy he sure doesn’t want to talk about the dollar amount huh? We want free military and free money now!!!! Stomp stomp stomp give me my money daddy Trump. All you have to do is make a little effort on your end there Justin. All we are doing is reciprocating the kindness you show us. Your military members support you? \n\nPut it to a vote if you will not censor them I think you might get a sense of how out of touch you are with your own country. \n\nWe love Canadians we dislike the leadership and the smashing laws that take it out on the common citizen that don’t live in a drug riddled city. You know the majority of your citizens?
2025-03-04 0
Anti-Americanism? Seriously? That is NOT what he said. Did you listen to any part of his speech at all? The English version, not the French one. Although if you'd listened to the French version, it would better explain why you are misrepresenting what he actually said. You might have misunderstood a large portion of it.

Doesn’t like this clown of PM Trudeau because his open support to Khalistani terrorists. But here he is right because its hurting them. I don’t think the tarrif going to benefit USA immediately, it might take decade for local business to compete, but meanwhile tarrif will increase the inflation in US immediately
2025-03-04 0
Trump is an agent under Putin influence, he's undermining the US to destroy our economic might, everything is done deliberately, and the dumb Maga movement is behind it all project 2025

Don't buy Canadian Bacon, Maple Syrup and other Canadian goods. Canada is NOT the closest ally of the US and has long in fact been like the Karen nation of North America who is massively passive aggressive to the US, and outright hatred for the US is rampant among many Canadians. 25 percent 155 billion which is dwarfed by the trade imbalance of the many billions more of Canadian goods that go to the US, mostly it is American Alcohol that goes to Canada, to fuel the drunks of Canadian society, so Homeless alcoholics in Canada might truly suffer. How is more sobriety a bad thing Trudeau? This might be fantastic for people who drink alcohol to make a break with the booze they have been needing. \n\nThe rest of us, who don't buy Canadian goods nor own or invest in American alcohol won't feel anything. In fact we pay more for mailing stuff to Canada from the Canadian postal service. \n\nWe learned not to mail stuff to Canada. We are ok now living with that limitation.

Can we Americans make you our real President somehow? The 25th might be of help right now-

As a European, it's a pitty I'm not in America anymore. I'm very curious what the American citizens think about this. This will have a negative effect on the entire world. I don't know if Trump realizes it, but America will not come out on top. It will become the biggest loser of this whole ordeal, I'm afraid. This is becoming dangerous. Europe always saw the East as the big threat, but it might be the West. (Not you Canada, we love you <3 )
2025-03-04 0
This might just be one of the most articulate and impactful speeches of modern day history.\nI'm genuinely so envious that the United States doesn't have a leader like Canada does currently. I, like many other Americans, stand with Canada on this! ❤
