Shame they didn't care about fentanyl when it was killing people off in BC for years before spreading, thousands of people had died. Hard to believe they care when so little effort or attention was shown to get the BC government at the time to be accountable. It doesn't help that with our current justice system it's practically a revolving door unless you're screwing over some established monopoly, people who cause real harm are out on the streets in no time. I’ve never been to Canada I’ve always wanted to go visit. I’m from CT in the USA born and raised here. I’m ashamed of our government rn we must be the laughing stock of every other nation for all the INSANE EXECUTIVE ORDERS ONE AFTER ANOTHER WITH NO REAL INTENTIONS OR PLANS THAT WILL IMPROVE ANYTHING FOR THE USA! All while “Selecting” billionaire elites into prominent positions of power & these ppl have no background knowledge or experience whatsoever for the positions that they’re being selected for!! The whole world has gotta be laughing at us in the USA because this is insanity over here now!!!

This is not anti-American, it is just fighting back from an unnecessary trade war. It does however break my heart because many Canadians have family on the U.S. side. I know it would also break my father’s heart as he grew up in New England and had a lifetime affection for the U.S. I despise politics and have not been a proud Canadian for a few years but I have to admit that this speech is getting me going again. Canada needs to get its act together and rebuild its military, not to fend off the U.S. but to hold its own should other countries decide we are ripe for the picking. I want U.S.-Canada relations to be tight again. We’re neighbor. We will have our disagreements and that’s fine but these trade wars will hurt everyone and, if it lasts, may leave lasting grievances.

As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Both countries benefited from having a good relationship and now the great US has no one willing to challenge Mr Trump on this idiotic move, America is alienating themselves from a lot of countries and regular Americans are the ones who are going to suffer from this fall-out, the rich won't be affected but regular working class folks your stress is going to get a whole lot worse and that's unfortunate. Hopefully US wises up sooner rather than later and stop blaming immigration for their problems it's poor governing and politicians that have us looking at each other as enemies rather than humans with the same struggle and issues. They have money to send annually overseas but none to improve the life of their citizens in need, that should tell you something. People that don't look like you aren't your enemies, people who try to harm you, undermine you are your enemies. People are just searching for a better life that's all, the most basic thing humans have in common, change the red tape a make things more structured and rid your country of the bad apples and welcome those willing to work, build and serve God and the country.
