As an American, I’m SO sorry that Trump is doing this. MANY of us did NOT vote for him and are HORRIFIED by the way he’s rapidly dismantling our democracy. ?

As an American, I am so Proud of President Trump! If my neighbors in Canada had done what was right and stopped the flow of fentanyl from coming into Canada and flowing into my country, little Justin wouldn’t be crying right now in front of a camera. Hey Justin, how many of your politicians were paid off to allow fentanyl to continue flowing? None, you say? So it was just incompetence then? I don’t think that you care because you are on your way OUT! I hope my Canadian friends do better!

We don’t want this either, and the current administration is not MY government and I know so many people who feel the same way. Trump and his cohorts are a danger to the American people and I am disgusted and ashamed that he is the ” leader” of my country. We stand with every true democracy against this tyrant and all who support him and his plot to destroy the United States!

In California but 1000% Team Canada. I am actively seeking out Canadian products to replace those from red states. (Canadian Mist, Crown Royal and many others are excellent replacements for Kentucky whiskeys.) I hope (and expect) that Blue State governors are working with Canada and our other allies to put the squeeze on Trump-supporting states and industries. While I hold out little hope that Trump cultists will ever not be brainwashed, putting them through direct and maximum pain is the only possible way out. Canada, elbows up! Turn out the lights, raise the price of our oil and know that true Americans are with you every step of the way.

Interesting that it's people from the US who are praising this idiot. Wonder how many Canadians feel the same way? Did you forget the past 4 years with this guy?

Trump uses foreign affairs spectacles to distract the public attention from the hardships the economy of the declining U.S. empire causes its citizens.
\nHe is the most danngerous person in history, to the foundation of the U.S.
\nThe 2 important things to be aware of re: current the situation of the U.S.:
\n1. The deccline of the American emmpire and the dennial/ignoring of that fact by the government, business community and mainstream media.
\n2. The fact that strikes and demonstrations will not be effective in bringing the required systemic change to the American systems of government and economy, that the American working class needs so urgently and badly.
\nThe only way for the working class in the U.S. to change its fate, is by revvolting, and then establishing Soccialism as the system of government and economy:
\nOnly through a Soccialist Revvolution can the working class in the U.S. change its current dreadful situation. The working class is about 97% of the population of the U.S. they are many, many millions of people, many more than the employer class, and so they can act and achieve that crucially important goal.

With a dish, respectful Prime Minister like Justin Trudeau, if I were President Donald J Trump I would immediately double the Tariffs. And I live in Canada. \nIt just shows that on his way out, he doesn’t care a bit about any Canadian . They was so many things Justin Trudeau has done in his tender being Prime Minister wrong

As a US citizen who didn't vote for the president (Trump) we have who is corrupt, self- serving and would have gone to prison if he had not been voted as president. I too am appalled at what he and his minions have done already. \nI understand what Canada has to do to protect itself. I support Canada.I feel for the Canadian people. Trump is a scourge to our country. Prime Minister Trudeau is too kind to Trump of being smart. He is not smart. He is hurting the American people in so many ways and he does not care. \nThank-you Prime Minister Trudeau and God bless the Canadian people and God bless the American people that didn't vote for Trump .

Remind me again why Trudeau was forced to resign? Even NY Times investigative journalists recently explained how NAFTA worked against US interests and killed so much of our industry decades ago; almost the opposite of what was intended. Trade needs to be reformed across the board. It's also insulting the way other world leaders are now speaking directly to the American Public and lying to them as if they have our best interest in mind. World leaders are elected to defend the interests of their own people, many times they just look out for their own personal interest, but they are definitely not looking out for American interest. It is up to us. The world stage is a complicated transaction of this for that. That's life. Have you all forgot playing United Nations in high school? Trade needs to be renegotiated from significantly benefiting every other country but USA. Trump is trying to do that.

From a Canadian citizen.\n\nExcellent speech, nice presentation with sugar coating, but the taste?\nHowever Trudeau is not telling the Truth about the Fentanyl of less than one ounce coming through the border?\nHow about Oil, Lumber and other minerals trades?\nThe USA has ten times more than what Canada have.\nWhat about border protection? Canada invested in two helicopters and many drones with thousands of land miles and the same on water to protect?\nThe cartels are much smarter than Trudeau borders policing, because they've already installed thousands of infiltrators throughout Canada to deliver any drug amount to the USA.\nAnd calling the president by his first name?\nTrudeau is taking Canada to another level, lower than we've seen or felt, because he's not a politician and not a businessman.\nFor last.\nThe notion that our lower level of politics still uses the word FIGHT instead of making a DEAL.\n\nAnd their old ways of saying, WE ARE WORKING HARD.\nINSTEAD OF WORKING SMART.\n\nMy opinions.

“Blistering” in the feyest manner ever. It’s USA first buddy, we’ve been footing the bill for your country in so many ways for decades. Also, why did it take Trump telling you to go after the fentanyl makers in your country to prevent it coming across our border?

Thank you to everyone from all over the world in support of Canada standing up to Trump. As a Canadian born in N. Ireland who loves the US, and have many friends there, i am emotional reading all these comments especially the us folks, it gives me hope. Im to old and broke down to be in on the front lines, but i will limp my way to fight for this country. We are not for sale.\nELBOWS UP\nPeace from Toronto

The US seems hell bent on destroying itself. So many people are going to lose their jobs as the US economy goes into freefall. If Trump imposes higher tariffs on Europe too, we'll respond in exactly the same way as Canada.

Don’t be fooled, Trudeau has made the opposition in Canada much more popular with his “good talk/ opposite results. The Dems lost for this exact reason in the US America will be strong either way. Canadians are much stronger without Trudeau no matter what they decide to do. I am sure many would agree no matter what side of the political spectrum they’re on.

Justin Trudeau's drug policies in Canada have been a disaster and now he pretends he is concerned about Fentanyl [a member of the class of drugs known as fentanyls, rapid-acting opioid (synthetic opiate) drugs that alleviate pain without causing loss of consciousness (analgesic). Fentanyl depresses central nervous system (CNS) and respiratory function. Exposure to fentanyl may be fatal.] going into the United States. He is a lame-duck Prime Minister on his way out of political life let alone public office as Prime Minister of Canada. His poll numbers were miserable and he was not supported within many in his own cabinet because of his divsisive decisions with Alberta, female MPs and hypocritical and harmful actions and words as well as broken promises to the Canadian Tax payers.

Close your open door policy and stop letting everyone come to your country. And then they sneak into our country. Go to Vancouver and you will see there is a brown and yellow town I mean how many of them are illegal. On the other hand i understand what you saying. Key words border check point. But how long is the border in Canada thousands of ways for stuff to come through

Twice in a week Trump is humiliated by a world leader, Trump thinking he can be a president of a country like the ceo of a corporation. He blackmails people offering them scraps from the table of his last meal as if they should be thankful. How on gods earth did America vote this clown as it's leader. Putin has spent 3 years trying to get into Kiev and in a few weeks has managed to get into the Oval office of the Whitehouse. I sit here in the UK watching what is going on in America like many around the world cringing and at the same time laughing at how such a scumbag could achieve what he has done. Trump and his arse licking lapdog are making a laughing stock of the US and you seem helpless to stop the shitshow that is coming your way. I feel for you and hope his stupidity will lead to a very quick exit for the now most famous clown in the world.

North Carolinian American here. I am ashamed of our country pushing our allies away. What I and many others want to let our allies know is that we support them. Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. I hope that it isn't severe, but I predict that our president, and the Republican Party that controls the legislature and the Supreme Court will definitely cripple the economy, and will find a way to blame the party, where they are not in control.

Despite how horrible this is, it makes my day knowing how many folks in the US are looking at their Red Hats wondering what the hell they voted for, and effectively what *they’ve done to a perfectly good country. \n\nThe amount of regret they are having must be debilitating; knowing they merely got sucked into a marketing campaign, abandoned friends & family, and are now realizing they were chewed up and spit out. \n\nIt’s a real shame, in several ways ..

?? here. Sure, we have our differences internally. Sure, we have problems. But oh my, in my many years of experience I have never seen Canadians united the way we have become as a result of threats eminating from the US. For this, we are putting our differences aside and uniting as one. I’m not a Trudeau fan, but he speaks - very well - for our nation.

I was questioning PM Trudeau for his foreign relationships and dealing with Khalistan separatists and straining Canada's relationship with India. But this speech changed that perception. I like how he addresses the very issue. Crystal clear and a very matured leader I would now change my position about him. This trade war will really hurt both sides. It may help govt as businesses will pay more on sales taxes. But it will ultimately hurt the consumers, especially middle and low income folks on both sides of the border a big way. There are so many problems to solve in USA and he focused on this.

Prime Minister Trudeau, thank you for showing the world how a true gentleman and leader talks to the leaders of another country in spite of the irrational, immoral and turncoat actions from a former Ally; our (?) new MAGA President Donald Trump. It's so surreal that this narcissistic, psychopathic person actually won the Presidential election (again). All I can say is I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of my broken country's politicians in Washington, D.C. at present. Many more Americans support the democratic policies than the anti-democratic that Trump's regime is spouting all around the world. Just know this isn't what most Americans believe and we don't support his thoughts and actions. We are trapped in this nightmare that makes no sense. We hope this is just a temporary change. These new policies benefit no one but the oligarchs of America (and world). I guess we are just going to have to take our punishment for the few years for not being able to prove that these people in Washington care NOTHING for anyone, including their own constituent, and are hell bent on taking down and destroying our American, Democratic way of life and we, the people, are helpless to stopping it dissolve and crumble. Thank you Canada for always being such great neighbors. Good luck, peace out!

Do people actually think that Trump will tell the truth? He's the father of lies.\nDo people think that fentanyl is NOT made in the USA?\nWhy does the USA have SO MANY DOPE FIENDS??\n\nTo all republicans that voted for Trump and you have lost your job or are hurting....GOOD FOR YOU!!!! I wish things become unbearably WORSE. Trump showed ya'll during his first administration, ya'll saw what he did while not in office, and we WARNED ya'll but some way ya'll got amnesia. Basic elementary understanding economics will tell you that:\n1) Tariff is another tax on the people in the country that is issuing the tariff\n2) Cost will always be lower four years prior (except for the period near the great depression) than the current year.\n3) Did ya'll forget about the damage the pandemic did and how some merchants were price gouging...and Biden was going after price gougers?\n\nI could go on and on but I assume that if you didn't listen or pay attention for 8 years, you definitely aint listening to me.

American here. Trust me what Trump is doing is foolish. There are many MANY Americans like myself that can agree. We cannot control this devil in power.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ntrumps attempted assassination was staged for rigged election results. elon is an oligarchy that paid his way into government.

So many of us Americans don't want this either. We're so frustrated and unhappy that our closest ally, Canada, is being treated this way. Thank you for recognizing it's the government and not the American people and that they're hurting us as well. ?

I think the only way we could have truly avoided this tariff war was to have gotten rid of this guy long ago. We had many chances. No one respects or trusts him. I put the blame on him & Jagmeet.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau thank you for your address to Americans, to the american Bully in chief, and to your people. I am among those who started pushing back before trump took office, many are. We’re watching legislation and countering it. It won’t be easy, but we, the other half who understand that trump is crooked and dysfunctional, will not give up. Generally, Americans are not great when it comes to hitting the pavement and letting our voices be heard, but we’re getting much better. We need to be more like France, but without the destructive automobile fires and other property destruction. Life will be hell here, in my own democratic country, until the Bully is gone. I want the entire republican party gone, they only serve themselves via stock insider information, and messed up wishes to control a dystopian society while kowtowing to the billionaires. I want the democrats rebranded to acknowledge the important social programs we have. Let’s face it, they did not protect us from this trump/project 2025 takeover. Instead they allowed unchecked lies, and the ability to buy his way into office with so many felonies under his huge belt. In a country that is intellectually compromised, lies are very effective weapons against democracy. We need better hate laws to control this lying issue.

I used to be a huge fan of America. I truly believed it was the world’s policeman, the guiding force for justice and freedom. I looked up to the country, admiring its strength, its values, and the way it stood for what was right. I even wished my own country could be more like that. \n\nBut America is no longer what it once was. It’s heartbreaking to see how a once-free and hopeful nation has transformed into something so divided, hostile, and unpredictable. A country that once stood by its friends now turns its back on them. A nation that once fought for unity now thrives on division and conflict. \n\nThere are still many good people in America, and the country is not beyond hope. But deep down, every American must realize—this is not the right path. This is not who you are meant to be. \n\nWake up before it’s too late.

The speech of Mr Trudeau, the way Canadians have shown solidarity for one another, today it all puts my country, The US, to shame. I am ashamed of what my government is doing and I am disgusted with the people doing it. In Mr Trump’s first term, as eclipsed as they were by the many many many actions and attitudes he imposed on us that embarrassed and hurt us as a country, there was the rare occasional decision I could at least understand even if I did not support it. Since taking office literally not one thing he has done has made sense to me as an American. I can only say how sorry I am for what the country I love is being used to do to you all, especially our closest allies and friends and in particular the people of Canada today. I grew up in Commerce Twp Michigan. I visited Canada regularly and, even as crime from Detroit poured across the border into Canada, Canadians always treated us with respect and welcome. I never imagined that would stop but now I find it hard to imagine how it might continue and it breaks my heart.

What more can we say about the stupidity of the puppet occupying the White House. His ignorance has been described in so many different (yet accurate) ways. In my eyes there is but one answer and that is that he is working with Russia and China to destabilize the world economy. Our DOJ dropped the ball. They should have slapped handcuffs on him on January 6, 2024 when we witnessed him breaking the law.

Your the reason why he put the tariffs on you clown. You've destroyed canada it's at its weakest point ever. Housing problems, immigration problems, too many people coming to fast Way to fast. Our borders are a joke the drug problems in this country is out of control and this is all because of you and your liberal commie buddies shitty ass policies and terrible ideas.

There is a way of handling difficult situations and circumstances. This is it. Trump would be so much better if he was a man of few words and calculated actions. You cant handle the country like its a business deal. Its deaper than one move. Its many moves with consequences.

Why didn't you government do this way before the threat become reality. Why were so many of resources given away to US? friends don't expect loss for either party

I am appalled by the american journalists. The way they both were talking about it is implying that Canada (e.g. we, as I am Canadian) are starting war against them. Justin said it as it is - the war was started by USA. But apparently, if Ukraine could be the aggressor ?(repeated many times over now by the American propagandists), so are we.

Beware of all religions. “Beware of false prophets, men who come to you dressed up as sheep while underneath they are savage wolves.” –(The Prophet and Messiah Jesus of Nazareth at Matthew 7: 15)–
\nFor God is our true Father. So never worship and pray in the way of the many false prophets of all religions.
\n“But when you pray, go into a room by yourself, and shut the door. Pray to your Father who is there in the secret place; and your Father who sees what is secret will reward you openly.
\nIn your prayers do not go babbling on like the heathen, who imagine that the more they say the more likely they are to be heard. Do not imitate them. Your Father knows what your needs are before you ask him.
\nThis is how you should pray:
\nOur Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
\nYour kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as in heaven,
\nGive us today our daily bread,
\nForgive us the wrong we have done, as we have forgiven those who have wronged us.
\nAnd do not bring us to the test, but save us from the evil one.
\nFor yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever.
\nAmen.
\nFor if you forgive others the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, then the wrongs you have done will not be forgiven by your Father.” – (The Prophet and Messiah Jesus of Nazareth at Matthew 6: 6-15) –
\n
\n“Pass no judgement, and you will not be judged. For as you judge others, so you will yourselves be judged, and whatever measure you deal out to others will be dealt back to you.” – (at Matthew 7: 1-2) –
\n
\n“In truth I tell you, if anyone obeys my teaching he shall never know what it is to die.” – (at John 8: 51) –
\n
\n“Always treat others as you would like them to treat you: that is the Law and the Prophets.
\nEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.” – (Matthew 7: 12-14) –
\n
\n“I am the gate; anyone who comes into the fold through me shall be safe. He shall go in and out and shall find pasturage.
\nThe thief comes only to steal, to kill, to destroy; I have come that men may have life, and may have it in all its fullness.” – (John 10: 9-10) –
\n
\n“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – (Matthew 7: 21) –
\n“I am the resurrection and I am life. If a man has faith in me, even though he dies, he shall come to life; and any one who is alive and has faith shall never die.” – (John 11: 25-26) –
\n
\n“I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world” – (John 12: 47) –
\n“Whoever then will acknowledge me before men, I will acknowledge him before my Father in heaven; and whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.” – (Matthew 10: 32-34) –
\n
\n“I am the way; I am the truth and I am life; no one comes to the Father except by me. If you knew me you would know my Father too.” – (John 14: 6-7) –
\n
\n“An expert in the law, [a leading religious Pharisee] tested him with this question: ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind. That is the greatest commandment. It comes first. The second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself. Everything in the Law and the Prophets hangs on these two commandments.’” – (Matthew 22: 35-40) –
\n
\n“There is no greater love than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends.” – (John 15: 13) –
\n
\n“Do not call any man on earth ‘father’ ; for you have one Father and he is in heaven. Nor must you be called ‘teacher’ ; you have one Teacher, the Messiah.’” – (Matthew 23: 9-10) –
\n
\n“Take care that no one misleads you: For many will come claiming my name…” – (Matthew 24: 4) –
\n“Many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many; and as lawlessness spreads, men’s love for one another will grow cold. But the man who holds out to the end will be saved. ” – (Matthew 24: 11-13) –
\n
\n“Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. And be assured, I am with you always, to the end of time.” – (Matthew 28: 20) –
\n
\nYours, in true Spirit and in our one given prayer, 2gointruth, on Tuesday the 4th of March 2025: – (Please read Matthew 5: 14-16) – Where every minute (of both day and night) can be a new beginning for any one of us. Let it always be you. Pray to God often, as prescribed above, before it is too late.

God bless the brave people of Canada for standing up to our unstable president and vice president. I am sad for the country I call home. I am still at a loss and feel very unsettled that Donald Trump was elected president. His presidency is marked by retaliation and actions that are ego boosting for him. Yet, many people don’t see it this way ?♀️. I am hoping and praying that other countries remember that not everyone is on board with Donald Trump and his party.

Hello dear ?people of America?❤️\nI'm from Ukraine???\nI apologize?if our country offended you in some way?\nI wanted to tell you that in 1994, your country, together with England and Russia, promised us a security guarantee in exchange for our giving up nuclear weapons, which we agreed to?\nNow, when Russia attacked us, your president accuses us of something?\nUnderstand that we are Ukrainians, we are free people?we are good?we are strong?we are singers?we are hardworking?we are beautiful?as you yourself noticed?❤️our people are like football player Andriy Shevchenko, boxers brothers Klitschko, and Oleksandr Usyk, singer Ruslana, with her wild dances??\nAnd many other people you know, our people?\nSo, I want to tell you that we ?are being killed Russians?Every day, there are fewer and fewer of us??

Respect to Canada, we all stand with you. Brave coming out on the front foot like you have. I do have to add, it is not the American government alone, it’s the American people who voted Trump in. How the mighty have fallen. Making enemies with all the democracy countries around the world. I’m Danish born, living in Australia. Civil war is very likely as many republicans now see that America is isolating themselves to create a dictatorship. Us vs the world mentality. Politics has never been more entertaining. China is set to be the new world leader, I can’t see it any other way. The timeline has moved forward beyond belief.

From America, the world really acts like we owe them something.\n\nWe get called imperialists when we help, cowards and weaklings when we don’t, we get reprimanded and shit on about how we should get our nose out of everyone’s business. The rest of the world seems to have a hate boner for the US yet can’t even be bothered to figure out how to not start new world wars, can’t even be bothered to take in and handle their own refugees, can’t even be bothered to help your own people.\n\nWe The People are growing real tired of our treatment on the world stage. Furthermore, we have our own issues. We have to focus on our own country and people, because as it stands many of us are struggling to figure out how to pay rent without picking up 2nd jobs or side hussle’s. Please understand this, we voted for Donald Trump. Flaws and all. He didn’t cheat or steal his way in. He isn’t a threat to democracy, or the stability of Europe. He’s and American president for America and if any non Americans wanna take issue with that. Then come get your citizenship and vote for it, but until then, stop crying about what America is doing and focus on your own country. Who knows, if you do your own country might actually be notable enough for you to understand my frustrations :)

How many people grew up in Divorced families with arguments and name calling and all the insults? I’m just wondering because the way our president in America is acting along with JD Vance and all the MAGA politicians they all act like those parents with the constant negativity and verbal abuse that all the crap that they put the American people through!!! How many times has our country gone through anything serious within or outside of our country? I am 62 years old and I can tell you there has been many, but we have never had a president / vice president and all the politicians on one party sit there and act the way these IDIOTS act! Many Canadians (myself included) now view the US as an enemy nation. It didn’t use to be this way.

I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. In the mean time I urge people around the world who supports Ukraine, Mexico, Canada and Europe - who supports the right to freedom - to buy goods from each other. Lets join together with Japan, Australia, South Korea etc - let's show the US that YES, they were important - yes they WERE the leaders of the free world - but they lost the right to that title the moment they selected Trump for president again. Let's show them what real bravery is and what real freedom is!

Yes, the number two in the Oval Office is Pence, and his words often come across as cheap, bullying tactics. Instead of offering real leadership or thoughtful discussion, he uses language that tries to intimidate and put others down. His approach often feels like he's trying to hold onto power by scaring people, rather than standing on solid ground with strong ideas. This kind of talk may work for some, but it only creates more division and gets in the way of real progress.\nThe biggest mistake was introducing tariffs without any backup plans in place. The bottom 60% of U.S. citizens will likely struggle to make ends meet in less than two years, stuck behind the barriers of these tariffs. The idea that South American countries might step in to help the U.S. seems unrealistic. More likely, the U.S. will find itself isolated, facing political instability—and to put it bluntly, a loss of trust—thanks to an overinflated ego and a sense of entitlement.\nCould the U.S. turn to African countries for their natural resources? It’s possible, but this effort probably won’t be successful. Most African nations, except for those in the Sahel region, are just beginning to recover from the effects of colonialism. Many are now building their own paths and are more likely to align with China’s influence rather than the U.S. Even if the U.S. tries to get resources from Africa, it will likely face challenges from both local resistance and growing competition from China.

I will never go to the US ever again!\nYour cookie cutter culture has no substance.\nYour “gated communities “ are prisons devised to protect the rich.\nYou live in constant fear and your prime focus is perceived threats to your freedom.\nWe here in Canada….not the 51st State, Don have bars on our windows.\nWe drink pure water , breath fresh clean air and we can sleep at night without hearing gunshots all night or the fear of bombs being dropped on us. \nWe are resilient people who can help ourselves in the wake of disasters and challenges.\nWe don’t need people to do our thinking for us.\nWe will overcome the folly of your ways.\nWe died for Americans and freedom in many Wars and we know what it is to make sacrifices!

I never thought that in my lifetime I would see, as I do now, the once might USA become a vassal state of Russia. How the mighty have fallen! What makes it worse is that the (new) US leader is in no way responsible to the US electorate and is a War Criminal as recognised by the International Criminal Court. President Putin is his name.\n\nLuckily, many Americans quite like this state of affairs.
