Had someone the other day tell me “we need not block anyone there is tons of land here. “\nPeople have not ever taken basic economics nor do they understand how a country runs. This is all about funneling money to rich people. Wouldn't the fact that the city council, allocated that money AFTER the ice raids took place. There are BILLIONS of ppl who in Africa, South America and Islam multiplied one thousand times in 100 yrs. Address the real problem and how tosrart working on it, The problem is over the last 40 years there has been a radical redistribution of wealth from the bottom and the middle to the top and the more. Send all migrants to Canada. They want them. NYC is going broke and now they want upstate and Long Island to pay a city tax to help fund the MTA. The MTA has billions in cash. India should not get into direct confrontation or discussions for such petty matters specially with Americans, UK, Germany, France, China, Japan, Russia, Oman, Saudi Arabia. People suggesting and raising such issues for illegal people are actually selfish , our quality of life (environment, safety, food, shelter, employment, education, basic needs) is average and not below average as portrayed in movies, tv and social media. Why should the government use tax payers money to bring illegal and greedy people and why we should show any sympathy. First be a practical and economic and security power house then go high on moral & ethical grounds.

I have no issue or problem with the roundup & deportation of illegals who are criminals but treating all illegals in this manner is inhumane & unconscionable. Many illegals have lived & worked in the US for years paying taxes, are unable to file tax returns and unlikely to collect social security if & when they reach that age. What the country needs is immigration overhaul & reform.

Most Americans don't know that the trouble in Venezuela like most other countries south of our border, was more than likely caused by US interference. For decades our government has financed regime changes at the request of American corporations. Us companies take advantage of natural resources and cheap labor to get maximum profits at the expense of the other countries. Anytime politicians tried to look out for the best interest of their country and people, we financed any opposition that would disrupt their government from enacting change. Our tax dollars. Then, when immigrants come up because of poverty and violence, who can blame them? We all would do the same. Decades of under-funding immigration services and courts make it a years long process that most can't afford to wait for. America is a huge country. We have room. They aren't talking your job. And the vast majority are not criminals. But, the wealthy and powerful people need you to be distracted and have a scapegoat for you to blame for everything. Quit idolizing the wealthy. That includes either party.

Legal immigration could help the USA......Bring back some of jobs most people who live in the USA don't want to do.... increase our tax base. Lower our food prices.... Help build more houses. Factories jobs will not pay a lot for manual labor again, those days are over ... but we will still need engineers.... computer IT people.ect..If young people don't get an education or get into a trade you will be out of luck.

What I don’t get is America isn’t against immigrants coming to America (the legal way) but people want to protest coming here illegally and are upset people are getting deported because they didn’t come the legal way. I work with a ton of guys that came to America the legal way and are all for deporting the illegals back to where they came from. The legal immigrants work hard and pay taxes and illegals don’t pay taxes they get benefits and haven’t paid their dues like the legal immigrants had to do to get in. Taking care of illegals takes away from Americans getting the help they need and we have to pay taxes. If they built America and are so proud to be from Mexico then why don’t you build Mexico up like you say you did in America. If it’s so great why are you coming to America illegally and running from your country. We also need to Add 50 percent transportation tax to any vehicles involved in transportation of goods from Canada to Mexico or Mexico to Canada.

I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. Don't be silly, don't make your own people pay taxes on goods from the US. Make it harder on the people in the US by charging additional tariffs on exports to the US. Starve the Americans because they need your products and services. They cannot afford to go it alone.

We’ll soon find out if convicted felon Trump and his supporters need Canada when that electricity gets turned off. If Trump can rip our mutually-negotiated agreements so can Canada. We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. Trump did. \n \nIt's also time to super-tax every pound of US coal being exported through Roberts Bank Super-port in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

The crux of the matter is that both countries are running huge federal deficits and needed an avenue to increase taxes in it's citizens. The politicians of both nations pulled a fast one on their citizens who now will pay paying more taxes in the form of higher prices on everything.
