I could honestly write an entire book about this—I’ve been living in Costa Rica for the past three years, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. My personal experience has been okay, because I was lucky enough to be contracted directly by the company, so I didn’t have to deal with any agencies (best-case scenario). BUT wow, the struggles are so real. Life abroad is insanely expensive! Sure, you might earn more, but all that money? It goes straight to bills, and don’t even get me started on the “black tax”—if you know, you know?. Plus Everyone back home just assumes you’re living the dream, lounging on the beach like a millionaire, when in reality, you’re just trying to stay afloat! NOT TO MENTION THE MENATL HEALTH, Premium tears!

My life is good enough but I'm older than you and was able to buy a house, etc... My kids on the other hand.... I worry for them. Both of them just got their EU citizenship, but I'm not sure if Europe is any better (I don't know yet). I'm anxious to see where you end up. \n\nSidenote, my mother's side is Ukrainian and settled in east rural Saskatchewan in the early 1900s. I live there for two decades except few years in India. People move there for opportunities and face job problem. Earlier one could manage in 2000 dollars but now 4000 is not enough. Salaries have increased but cost of living rose rapidly in the last 4-5 years. \n\nLakes are there but only produce is grass and cows fed on that. Some farming is there. Lot of forests but more than economy, it is becoming liability with very high cost of dousing wild fires. In summers, many cities are severely polluted causing health concern in only good season there. \n\nAll businesses are controlled by a few and we call them cabal. Life of new comer is like bonded labourers or slaves. \n\nPolity and healthcare we need not say anything. It is as clear as daylight \n\nPeople are moving less but are still moving there. It speaks more about condition in India.

There's plenty of wild country in Canada. Buy some camping equipment and live for free in a tent

I don't think most people understand just how long and environmentally challenging the Canada-US boarder really is. In this video we're talking about only a very small section of the border along New York State and New England, but going west the boarder goes on for literally thousands of miles.\n\nBecause of the great distances and vast amount of wild land up north vs the population size on both sides of the border, it makes it almost impossible to actively patrol the entire length of the Canada-US border.\n\nThis is not just a problem on the US side of the border. Irregular crossings are also happening into Canada.\n\nThe best thing the two countries can do is to actively work together on this issue.

I know its anecdotal, but i feel like its probably the norm.\n\nI lived in Canada my whole life, i visited the states and lived there for a few months for a job.\n\nThe amount of violence, gun or otherwise, is night and day. In the U.S. you could have a gun pulled on you in a grocery strore, on the highway, in the park, at the bar...\n\nIn canada, you could walk an entire city, late at night, completely alone, and the odds of someone hurting you in anyway at all is like single digit %. In the U.S, you arent making it 2 blocks without trouble.\n\nIt is mind boggling how dangerous it feels to just be in the states then it does in Canada. Until you have experienced both, you just cant understand how wildly different just this 1 aspect is.
