Poor, one sided journalism. Canada often denies visas even to retired members of Indian security services but never denies visas to veterans of Western countries which have a mile long documented record of human right abuses in foreign countries in Asia and Africa. Canada gives visas to criminals and gangsters from India, even citizenship! Canada now wants India to give visas blindly to Canadian citizens without checking their antecedents, particularly relating to issues of attack against Indian sovereignty and terror links! India is not Canada and India considers visas to foreign citizens a priviledge extended, not an unfettered right. Actions have consequences and India, unlike Canada, takes terror related issues and foreign conspiracies working against integrity and sovereignity of the country very seriously indeed. Canada does not get White Man's Priviledge in India. That boat sailed a long time ago.

They became independent splitting us-Punjab, Kashmir and Bangla into pieces. Now it is time to fix the mistake British did in 1947. The movement for one Punjab, one Kashmir and one Bangla is now on. I'm a newcomer, and I agree with the points, and I see that people are blaming immigrants in general, but they don't think in the structural flaws that we have in the government system, I found a shame the public transportation in some of the biggest cities and in other public services, and I found that could be easier the validation of diplomos, we have doctors and engineers driving uber, because they can't work in their profession, and I feel that they are putting limits in the immigrants from one side, but they have no limits in refugees, I understand that they need help but should have a limit that the structure can hold.

Im from India and had also encountered such behaviour with an Indian embassy official in Doha Qatar and he too behaved with me in a rude and absolutely arrogant manner. I wasn't allowed to take my mobile with me in the consulate otherwise I would have certainly filmed it. Here in the video he clearly knows that he isbeing filmed...but look at his behaviour...he dosen't care a damn.This is because he knows there will be absolutely no repercussions for him. He clearly says Get out....is this what he is paid for? All my fellow Indians who are saying that there must be a second side of the story have obviously not dealt with such high handedness of Indian officials. It is funny how you forget to mention the other side of things. You are supposed to be impartial, not side with one party or the other. While it might cost $20B to deport illegal immigrants, as of right now there are estimates between $150B and $450B a year of taxpayer money to keep them in the country. So even if you are not good at math, I'd prefer to spend $20B on every 1M, to stop wasting every year $150B. \nYour biases show a lot!

I've been replaced 4 times by foreigners. I worked at Amazon and the entire huge warehouse of hundreds of people was only East Indians with only me and 3 other white people. I worked at Ballard and the entire production floor could not speak English at a elementary school level and was replaced by a guy from Iran who had never been to Canada and was in the country for 1 month. All the shift mangers were from Iran and my section was only Iranians, East Indians and Chinese. I was the top production worker by far doing the work of 4 other workers proven by the actual numbers in an attempt to keep my job but still got removed of course to make way for more Iranians because it was obviously a way to bring their people here. Zero locals were in the entire production floor. I can not have the dignity to own my own home and never will be able to even though I grew up here went to collage and university and worked hard. Rent is beyond insane and they raise it the maximum legal amount every year which is huge. All my life I had to bow down to foreigners. The locals have lost their homes and can not buy another house or could never buy one and never will be able to. All are slaves to foreigners who think they are superior and treat them like garbage. The foreigners get help from the government somehow and get loans they never should be able to get because they have crooked contacts in the Chinese owned financial institutions. They then build 5 to 10 unbelievably horrible illegal suites and that is where most of the locals now have to live in. The neighbourhoods went from a very low population of Chinese and East Indians to insanely high levels such as 98 percent. There is no sense in complaining to any government body because the Chinese and East Indians have infiltrated those key positions and always side with their own kind. The legacy news/media is fully aware but are owned by foreigners and never will talk about these issues. Canada has for sure been invaded and taken over and is lost. No one is bringing it to light and worst is no one is trying to fight it. Any attempts you are labeled as a horrible racist.

It doesn't always snow in Vancouver; some years like the last 2 years we had NO snow at all. But yes, it still gets cold and sometimes icy so make sure you have a winter coat, mittens or gloves and boots. Ear muffs are used by some while others wear a warm hat and sometimes there's a hat attached to your coat so that makes it easier. Stock up on either regular table salt or you can buy a heavier type of salt especially used to sprinkle where you want the ice to melt; like your driveway. Your car will need winter tires too and the guys at any gas station can put them on for you for a reasonable price while you wait. I'd also recommend buying a heating pad for your bed....one that covers the entire bed....it's just oh so nice to turn it on to high a while before climbing in; it feels like heaven and you'll be asleep real fast. When there's 2 people in a bed they can each adjust their side to whatever the degree of heat they want. Good night.......

This is disheartening... this means that my husband will never be able to live with us. My children will grow up without their father, and for some reason, Canadians are OK with Canadian children growing up in a broken home. It's going to take 35 months, for my husband to be able to immigrate to this country. That's 2 1/2 year that my kids won't have a dad, our son especially is suffering. He has a serious disease, is often hospitalized, and I'm a married woman living as a single mother. Now I'll need to rely on the government for more financial support, and my 6 year old is actually depressed because his dad is years away from being with him. I work full time, have a great home, and a side business. But now I'll need to depend on meds and disability support to take care of my child, when he has an ablebodied father that can support us, especially when our child is in one of his regular hospitalization. You all are cruel.

Canadians don't hate Indians. They keep coming over and imposing their ways on us, taking our jobs and our homes. It feels more like a takeover then anything else. This is not about Racism or hate. This is about people going into another country and forcing their will on the people. If our internet wasn't so censored thanks to Trudeau, you'd see our side of the story. The large centres in Canada have had there real estate exploited by big business and wannabee real estate tycoons it like the many other schemes that came before are looking to exploit working class people and that has made more difficult for people that doesnt mena Canada doesnt have opportunity. Those who leave are all looking for the brass ring it doesnt mean the US is the answer for some people it is. The US is a larger market and if you have what they need you are likely to get more for it because of quality competition is high. It is here too just not as much choice. I've just come back from a week's holiday in Toronto ( from Spain ) gotta say I loved every minute of it ..but as a tourist I guess you only see the good side and not the bad . One thing that did strike me though ( and I know that this sounds really bad,but it's not supposed to ) is that I was shocked by the lack of white people..where are they all ?

It's obvious – if Canada stopped being one of the top immigration destinations, real estate would stop growing in value so much.

If those living in poverty and poor countries especially south america, woumd stop having aommany children it woukd lessen the burden. I grew up in Toronto and love going back often because I get to visit the neighborhood and bump into old friends, the variety of food is fantastic, there is lots you can do with theatre. Beautiful parks, Center Island, CNE, pubs…I can go on and on. \nThe negativity about Toronto is one sided because some people might not have had a good experience or the timing wasn’t great post COVID. That happened all over the world. \nSo my final comment, visit Toronto, soak in the culture and different activities. ?

I see a lota comments saying this is one-sided. I cant speak for anyone else but this has been my experience as well... I've been to the Indian Embassy in Wellington, Nz multiple times to submit my applications passport renewal, police clearance etc and girls at the counter were unnecessarily rude & very unhelpful.. I've never received this sort of treatment from kiwis in Nz especially those sitting at customer service desks. I'd worked in Customer service for 7+ years and its very sad to see Indians (not all; some are good but very rare) are the worst and rudest to deal with. Because of this Indian generally have a very bad reputation in Nz; and by the looks of it, in Canada & Australia too..

You have raised the number of students, their working status, and the employment authorization for students' spouses as a cause for the housing problems in Canada, particularly, it's negative impact on affordability. This is factually true, However, there are two sides to the housing affordability equation, which are the supply/offer on one side, and the demand on the other side . If we need or require the affordability equation to be balanced, we need to deal with both sides of the equation. Furthermore, and regardless of the issue of foreign students, and their spouses, the lack of offordability will not significantly improve, as the supply is the accumulation of many years of deficit, due to bureaucratic, regulatory reasons, and the lacking, or the deficiency in housing policy, at all government levels, and all related taxation, budgeting, financing, and general economic policy adopted , or omitted in dealing with inflation, interest rate manipulation by the Banque of Canada, inadequate competion issues, investment in main street, instead of the Wall of Bay Street, political sanctions, and tariffs, etc..This immigration issue needs to consider the demographic, and labor needs of Canada, while in the same time, or in tandem, prepare for the required housing supply, and other needs, and requirements in term of reviewing the rules and procedures, pertaining to integrating the professional immigrants in their professions instead of excluding them from professional organizations such the medical, and the ingeneering, professions and so on. Many of such professional resources are driving cabs in Toronto, Vancouver,and Montreal. So to blame the housing crises on the immigrants only, will not define completely the housing crisis, and may not help to solve it.

As a Jamaican Canadian living here for many years it's getting really hard to survive in this country. Everything is expensive. No work available ?? plus this one-sided immigration policy is killing the country fast fast ⏩
