They were denied because they arrived on military planes, which the Colombian president perceived as a lack of respect and that the migrants were being treated as criminals. After threatening a retaliatory tariff the president conceded and accepted that they will receive any planes without delay.

Remember when Europeans from England, France, Spain, Netherlands...just arrived in North America and called it theirs when there was already an indigenous population that existed for generations? ?\n\nYour entitlement is phony. Your complaints are not respected and they never will be until you acknowledge that YOU are the illegal.

Why will a country refuse to take back its own citizens. That is where you know those people arriving USA are indeed the worst kind of people even their country does not want them. But liberals want them to be here
|

The Colombian president didn’t accept the treatment that de United given to Colombian people as a criminal. They arrived with handcuffs on hands and feet as a criminals. And there were not protocols. He offered send to pick up them in a presidential fly.

Congratulate Trump for being the #1 BRICS SALESMAN OF THE year. Colombia wanted their people to arrive with dignity. Not like criminals. Trump is attacking his own allies. Because he's a child. Trump is attacking his own alliances while BRICS is build up their manufacturing alliances.

Columbia can throw parades when they arrive if they want a dignified return from their illegal entry into the USA.
|
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Colombia did not accept because they were on military planes. If they would have been treated with respect and like human beings and arrive on commercial jets, they would have accepted. The same with Mexico. We would not like military jets or planes from other countries coming to our country. They are lucky they were not shot down. For all you MAGA people, there are thousands of jobs for you in the farming industry. We need our tomatoes, and oranges picked. Get to work MAGA and pick those crops.

This is the false narrative by you guys. Didn’t fold. He sent his own Presidential plane for the immigrants. The arrogance of the United States to arrive without conversation or agreement to land anyway. He showed class and told the administration you can’t land but I’ll send my Presidential plane to brig them back. That’s class.

The Colombian president was claiming that migrants are welcome back as long as they are not treated as criminals since they are not criminals. Entering the US illegally is a civil offense like passing red light but not a criminal offense under US law. So then he said he could send his own plane and make sure that those people are not handcuffed and treated with dignity in their arrival, since Trump was treating them as criminals. It is not like some here are saying that the tariff threat caused him to back off, it was just a point of being treated fairly since they are not criminals.

Columbia will cave. Screw them for not wanting to take back their people who arrived here illegally. Crikey.

Colombia will send its presidential plane to Honduras to pick up Colombians after the country refused to accept migrant deportation flights from the United States. Colombian President Gustavo Petro has arranged for the presidential plane to facilitate the “dignified return of Colombian nationals who were to arrive in the country today in the morning hours, coming in from deportation flights

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS INCOMPLETE REPORTING: The President of Colombia clearly said he would accept deportees IF they arrive on a passenger plane as has always been done and which costs less than half of the expense of a military plane. The problem is the United State’s insistence on using military planes. I swear folks, it’s just getting started: threatening to invade Panama, the closest ally in Latin America, threatening the prime minister of Denmark, a historic ally. Anyone remember Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland?

As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. And they have the cheek to say this is ok because they got colonised. WELL SO DID WE! That is the truth.

These immigrants arrived legally and were granted legal status. In Canada, individuals must live in the country for five years before they can apply for citizenship. So, why should they be deported? I could understand if they had entered illegally and bypassed the proper legal process, but that is not the case here. Why would Canada adopt policies similar to those of Trump in the U.S.?\n\n-------\n@derekpam7149\nMy point is straightforward: these individuals followed the legal process to enter Canada and were granted legal status. They have adhered to the rules, and deporting them after they’ve done everything correctly seems unjust. Comparing this to Trump-era policies in the U.S. does not align with the values Canada upholds regarding fairness and due process. I’m asking why Canada would take such an approach when these people have complied with the law. Could you clarify what part of this seems complex to you? Perhaps you need to revisit your studies and review elementary education, as this is taught in schools. Canada is a 'land of immigrants.' It's part of history, long before you were born.\n\nI have no issues with deporting individuals who entered Canada illegally. However, these rules should not apply to people who migrated to Canada legally, are working as doctors, nurses, engineers, and so on, and are simply waiting for their citizenship. Your message is clearly irrelevant and discriminatory.

???My heart is with the immigrants. I am also an immigrant since here in 1991 I was also running away from violence and from the fact that in Mexico in the 70s, 80s and 90s they were killing homosexuals who could not be in the closet like others who could hide their homosexuality. I was able to immigrate because I had a lot of courage, a lot of fear and most of all, helplessness against the country that gave me life, Mexico, where society and presidents always had some double standards, it is unheard of. I owe my life, my dignity and my prosperity to this country, the United States of America. Of course I have not stopped working since I arrived. I am not a rich person but I am an American citizen. I have managed to be part of this beautiful nation, but we cannot demand that this nation give us something where our own country was denied us dignity, to be treated as first class citizens like us in my country and we could not be given that. But well, I hope that these immigrants find the light very soon and that they talk about how badly their own country is treating them, that they say what is happening. Because that is what they should fine or do something so that their own country's government gives them a better life!???

Hi! Palki, Wasn't it you who went to UK and made a speech that world now sees Indian Passport with Pride. And now this story. I also heard Indian Passport is around 80th in the world according to a survey which scores passport strength basis it's Visa On Arrival status.

Here's a refined version of your message:\n\n---\n\nThere is a significant number of Indians in Australia and New Zealand, many of whom initially arrived as international students and chose to stay. This has contributed to a rise in house rents and increased difficulty in finding accommodation. With a population of 28 million, Australia sees a high presence of Indians, who often fill many job positions, making it challenging for citizens to find employment. The Australian and New Zealand governments are partly to blame for issuing visas without expanding housing and job opportunities to accommodate the influx of visitors, students, and immigrants.\n\n---\n\nI hope this helps. If you need any further adjustments, feel free to let me know.

India Rising is without doubt the worst possible narrative being peddled by the anchor. It is far from the truth. \nA few already rich getting richer is not to be tom-tomed for a nation of 1.5 bn. \nBesides, if the country is doing so great why are Indians so desperate to get out. To go any country, the number of legal and illegal Indians outnumbers all other arrivals. \n\nNot to forget, the anchor conveniently brushes aside the visa abuse by Indians. \n\nIf there are so many with such stringent regulations, imagine what will be the case if there is freedom of movement. \n\nGet a reality check before reporting

I have travelled to almost 40 countries and have never been rejected for any visa - US, UK, Schengen etc. Reason being, I am a law abiding traveller who respects the rules & regulations of the countries I travel to. I furnish all documents honestly at the visa center. I arrive & leave the foreign countries as permitted on my visa. Traveler's with a clean & honest travel history should have no problems at all.

Does this host watched tv shows such as “nothing to declare” and “danger Tv”? Many people think that because they think that they are cleaver enough to circumvent visa interviews, falsify documents required to impress foreign embassy staff, get visa on false pretenses because they have money, connections in domestic government or someone overseas to curry favor them, then no wonder your visa application would be rejected and fees forfeited or you would be turned down entry to your dream country on arrival and deported back to your home country. People even dare to charter a flight to Maxico with a plan to cross the border and into USA, like a flash mob, without a visa. Well you don’t have entitlement for that, just like you don’t like Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Rohingya crossing your borders by any means.\nHow many Indian agents have befooled fellow Indians who want to go and work in UAE, Behrin, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia but landed on one of the beaches of India or have their Passport taken away to make them work like a slave in servitude by their fellow Indian contractors? Let us talk about that.\nLet us talk about how many Indian parents and students so foolish to see admission in universities or unaccredited fake colleges in Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Russia and Russian federation countries but no serious intention to study but intention not to return but figure out magic trick to PR and citizenship without really caring to understand how immigration works and what would actually qualify to deserve immigration visa? Sham marriages is one of many tricks that people pursue despite knowing that chances of success are really very remote. Let us talk about that.\n\nLet us talk about fake colleges that “donations” to admit “students” who failed to perform because their parents have money to justify entitlement to buy degrees and fake colleges print it out in return to “donations”?\n\nIt doesn’t end here. You get to these destinations by hook or crook, you eventually get busted, yet you have nerves to be cocky, pretend to be robbed, discriminated, cheated, victimized instead and gather nerve to seek PR, green card, white card as compensation and even a job? I mean how far you would go thinking world is stupid and you can prove it.\n\nSORRY, there are hard working, intelligent and qualified Indians that get visa and there are people who get visa on family migration quota for example but many others, give me a break.

I worked in India for 6 years and then shifted abroad for a Masters, and now I am pursuing a fully funded PhD. In the UK, what I have observed is that the crop of students arriving from India are by the day lesser inclined towards studies and more in pursuit of the quick buck. Yes, getting a ‘UK based work experience’ is necessary to build the edge to compete against the wider international students post graduation and I have myself worked part-time in profiles which complimented my course in parallel to prioritising studies. However, the increasing trend amongst the masses (I do not want to generalise but yes this is unfortunately true and especially from certain states, the case is magnified: Read Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana) remains getting that student visa to earn quick buck to support themselves financially, chiefly, save up to dole out to so called ‘assignment writers’ which helps them pass the course to further graduate and transfer to a grad visa (again comes at a cost) which allows them 2 years worth of stay with no working hour stipulation post graduation. Thereon, work full time in laborious jobs with again not focussing on applying to full time opportunities in the field of study. Thus, what remains at the end of the day is lost time and opportunity and since I am only talking of people who come here on a Student VISA so primarily, the opportunity cost lost to upskill and further horizons. For the country’s perspective, getting cheap, skilled labour for an unskilled job is obviously an advantage but then there are cases of students not respecting their working hour restrictions, vandalising, bickering loudly, joining hands with the already operating extremist forces which instigate violence and hatred etc. In all, I think the resistance to not becoming bicultural which is a product of serious mental and physical toil and wasting time in frivolity is the main cause of the anti-immigration wave.

Indians need to drop certain behaviors when they leave India and learn how to behave in the west. Maybe then, some countries may reconsider their visa formalities. I’m predicting that SE Asian countries are going to soon remove visa on arrival status for Indians because of their tactless behavior exhibited for all to see.

It was on 72 in 2014.. And total number of ranks are around 100, because there are 2-3 countries on single spot..slipping 5 rank mean slipping below 10-15 countries..
\nVisa on Arrival does not only depend on passport ranking, it depends on the host countries as well, e.g Kenya has made visa-free(Visa on Arrival) free for everyone accross the world. Most of of the touris friendly countries are issuing free Visa-on-Arrival just to boom their tourism sector...On the contrary, now we don't get any Visa-on-Arrival for any European country, earlier we had access of Visa-on-Arrival for Serbia.
\nSituation is getting worse day-by-day, many countries are not accepting INR at the Airport(though you can exchange at their local market, but conversion rate is very poor)

India should stop e-visas for govt employees of countries like the US. Any US citizen who or whose immediate family member is a US govt employee should be asked to queue up at an Indian consulate and given an appointment after 1 year. They should be asked to submit various sorts of documents, submit their passport, wait for 45 days after which depending on the mood of the officer at the consulate, a sticker visa could be issued. This policy should be for OCIs who take up govt job as well.\n\nPS: Egypt had removed Canada from their visa on arrival list after canada began arbitrarily rejecting egyptian visa applications. This has been done in the past

Well said! I hope our Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes note. It's high time India earns global respect, particularly from the UK, USA and EU. Offering arrival visas to income tax filers could be a game-changer and a start to that direction and will motivating more people to file returns to get that pride status. Currently, only 3% of Indians file tax returns, whereas at least 10% should. This initiative would benefit India and provide developed countries with a better filtering process.

| 2025-01-16 | 0 |
A passport's ranking depends on how many countries its holder can visit visa-free and how many offer a visa on arrival. To boost India's ranking, the foreign mission could focus on increasing the number of countries Indian citizens can travel to without needing a visa.
|

Having too many visas of Visa on Arrival countries will make it very difficult to get visa from Schengen area/five eyes countries.

Those Indians arrived at Canada are those richer and better educated, yet they have caused a major cultural shock. Most Canadians consider them as noisy, filthy and smelly, yet arrogant and unadaptive to their new country. Other minor things like manners and politeness are also being seen as unacceptable to the Canadian society. Furthermore, Indians have no idea why they were being hated by native Canadians, how pathetic.

Thankyou Sir for this helpful info.\nQuestion is If you arrive Canada on a visitor's visa, is it possible that the immigration officers ask you right there at the Port of Entry if you intend to apply for/Seek Asylum?\nIf yes, what do you tell them. It bothers me because if I say yes, I fear they might send me back. What do you think?

You end by saying this is your ranking for 2021. How has it changed, as we are now arrived in 2025 ? I think you should take into consideration the very anti-English attitude of the CAQ government, and don't expect things to improve if the Parti Québécois wins the next election.

Where are the destination countries that those Canada immigrants moved to? You did not tell the whole story. The audience may think that those people are leaving Canada to US. \n\n1. Among five eyes countries, Canada is the easiest country for people to migrate to. For example Australia skill migrant program does not accept the flight attendant as the required talent. There is very slim chance that the flight attendant can get the PR through the skill migrant program in Australia. Canada is now getting into the trouble similar to the sub-prime crisis in US 15 years ago: too many people who are not the qualified immigrants arrived to Canada in past 2 years. They are leaving because the minimal hourly wages cannot support their living in the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver. \n2. High income tax ? In UK the top tax bucket is well over 40%. In Australia you need to pay 45% income tax plus 2% medical Levy surcharge\n3. High cost of living? I think the cost of living in London of UK and Sydney of Australia are also exceptionally high. The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. But this applies to all countries, including SF of US, Toronto of Canada, Sydney of Australia, London of UK\n4. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US?\n\nIn summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. Canada had taken a large number of wrong low end migrants in wrong time. When the economic downturn turn comes these are the most vulnerable group of people that should leave Canada.\n\nMany Canadian found that they resolved some of the problems by relocating from city to city ie moved from Vancouver to Calgary. Cheaper house price and cost of living, lower crime rate, etc

You are absolutely right. Some of the recent Indian imports to Canada and US are totally unsuitable to reside out of India. Their behavior in public, lacking civic sense, lacking sense of hygiene and lacking politeness. I have lived in the States for 50 years. I have never experienced racism ever. I dont blame Canadians or Americans for being fed up with Indians. Unfortunately some of the new arrivals from India never got the opportunity to learn the etiquettes that the Westerners are accustomed to. They don't care and don't even want to learn. The saying 'when in Rome, do as the Romans do' is completely foreign to them.

Tell the truth… our government pays them support and housing upon arrival and employers are given wage subsidy for hiring immigrants!! No temporary visa allowed period! Come in the right way like many others before them and be vetted. Canada is being invaded and we are losing our jobs and housing, and not to forget our customs. We as Canadians are fed up!!

These are people ordered by Imgration Canada to leave Canada after failing the processes to stay in the country. That is 30000 people who should have been put on a plane and sent back to their country of origin. Law enforcement needs to be hired to find these people and put them on the plane. Another way to help this from happening in the future is through the laws. If you are here on a visa or temporary work permit, you must leave by the date on the permit or visa. Failure to do so will result in immediate deportation from Canada to your country of origin. It will also result in a permanent ban from for life from entry to Canada for any reason. If you have been found to enter Canada illegally for any reason. This will also be a permanent ban from entry to Canada in the future for any reason. The only way to extend a permit or visa is from outside of Canada, just like other countries require Canadians to do under their systems. There has to be a reason for people to follow the rules, and that is the permanent ban and immediate deportation upon failure to follow the rules. Another thing is an person needs to have paperwork to get on an international aircraft going to another country. So why do these people arrive in Canada and now have no paperwork. They must show that paperwork to CBSA or face immediate deportation and a lifetime ban from entering Canada for any reason. People who have followed the rules are fully welcomed to Canada. They should show they are entitled to be here and not break major laws of Canada. If you fail and are convinced of breaking major Canadian laws. You will be immediately deported from Canada with a lifetime ban from entry to Canada in the future. These are rules and laws used internationally by other countries, so nothing is new...

If it's true,..\notherwise Canada has to pay a heavy price. Everything is under Indian control. Our canadian that has hired temp Indian Hr Recruiters they and Indian Managers, along with Indian agents, are involved in money laundering by chargjng a commission from New comer Indians, they hire and had hired only Indians .The unemployment rate within Canada is high. Crime.rate.committed by Indians is growing day by day at an unbelievable rate.\n By paying commission, only Indians are working all over Canada when there is a job scarcity. Now, their families are arriving. In some banks, Tim Hortons, it is Canada, but unbelievable 7 employees will be Indian newcomers, and 1 would be either Canadian philippines, chinese, black, or white. NewcomerIndians think they can get away with their corrupt mindset they will also go through a lot of suffering, and they dont know yet because this is Canada, not INDIA .

It is incumbent upon the Canadian government to screen out those applicants who received fake admission letters upon arrival or even before departing for Canada - at the Indian airport of departure. Clearly the priority of the Canadian government was to allow one and all in so as to benefit from the exorbitantly high tuition fees charged to international students - so scrutiny of offer letters took a back seat. The recent crack down on international students (after such a long time) especially in the wake of the impending elections makes Canadians highly skeptical. This is nothing but damage control by the Trudeau government now that they are faced with the prospect of a decimation at the general elections. They needed a scapegoat - what better than to blame international students....the outsider - sound familiar?
