I'm European, but I lived in Canada for a couple of months and actually got to see Trudeau speak live in Parliament. He gave a very different speech that day - a eulogy. I did not think then I would ever hear this man this very obviously pissed off. He's like one of those teachers that don't need to shout to show their students they are in big trouble. I don't know if I would vote for him if I was Canadian, but I would certainly be proud of him right now.

Trump isn't starting this trade war because of drugs. He's doing it for no other reason than to damage your relationship. As a South African, I want to say that this trade war, as well as the hostile approach of Trump towards Canada, is devastating. If one were not experiencing it directly, it would be almost impossible to believe. This is such a remarkable speech that it will go down in history as one of the truly great speeches in times of crisis. It is entirely correct to address the American and Canadian peoples directly, as the Prime Minister has done. They are both clear victims of this madness, Americans misled, and Canadians the target, of this senseless trade war. If one reads History, there is another dimension to this, and I hate to say it. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. We need to protest and call our Congressmen to help stop all this lunacy. This is a Five Alarm Fire. We all need to come together to stop this madness man and all those that support him. \n\nWe need to stop fighting with each other, come together, and protest DT. They want us to focus on other things so that we don’t see what they are actually doing—-stealing our tax dollars. They must be stopped.

Trudeau needs to do better to keep the fentanyl from coming to America.. I don’t feel sorry for Canada one bit. I lost my daughter to fentanyl so I myself would like some retribution… so him up there preaching like he’s holier than thou is laughable… more fentanyl is coming over the Canadian border than the actual southern border… and that’s after they already had this agreement to stop the fentanyl flow..

BTW, for those who are not putting it together, Trump pitched a fit when Zelenskyy didn't appear to want to sign a deal because he knew Canada would likely do this. We need those minerals. Now, we have lost access to them.

Nice to see a leader standing up to Trump. Trudeau is showing leadership and trying to explain to American how tariffs work. It would be good if Trump understood the pain he will cause Americans. We need an adult in the White House.

I’m an American (I’m embarrassed to say) but I am proud to say I completely oppose Trump & Musk’s plan to turn us into or over to Russia. They are in alliance with the corrupt project 2025 and Putin. Ah yes the drama teacher turned corrupt liberal dictator who has RUINED CANADA over the last 9 years!! He makes me sick! He doesn't give 2 ? ? about groceries and gas prices for us. He spent $81,000 of Canadian tax dollars on his own grocery bill this year - yeah! That's $1557 a week or $257 a day stuffing his face. That doesn't even include his dining out.
