Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. I have been living in canada for 3 years now and I Agree and Disagree on this video. Yeah, Canada has one of the largest natural resource but utilities bill is more than that of India. Yes, canada's population is half of Gujarat's population, but just check the rent in canada once. Many people here prefer living in an EV to avoid rent. Canada may be exporting fertilizers, but Canada has to import food and veggies from other countries and its damm expensive. Ab koi log bolenge, then go back to India.. I am not saying canada is bad. The only reason i am still here in canada is because of its work culture. Work culture in canada is wayyyyy more stress free than that of India's. And just dont get me started with the amount of crime and gun shots. Coz I have seen many news related to gun shots in metro and buses and people gets killed without any reason. And one of the worst things in canada is Drugs. Just last week, I took a walk down two blocks alone at 2 am. It literally scared a shit out of me bcuz of the druggies and homeless people. I am living in Canada right now and I agree with all the points mentioned however,\n1. As a lady I feel safe, no one judge me for my clothes, no one stare me disgustingly and no one consider I am his private property to assault.\n2. I feel safe when my kid goes outside to play. People here follows laws strictly. Vehicle stops even at signal allows them to proceed, always I repeat always driver signals me to proceed.\n3. I feel happy that my husband is valued in his office and much appreciated. His seniors credit him for his hard work and everyone here encourage us to have proper work life balance.\n4 I agree we pay high tax but atleast we are getting benefits in return. Public libraries, transport system are top notches. \n5. Banking, health care, all government facilities are very systematic. We were not even aware we have completed 18 months in Canada and we received letter from government stating very soon my son's child benefit will start. We didn't even enquired about it. They processed it automatically as per our arrival date.\n6. And lastly, we celebrated Independence Day here in Calgary, it was great event and all officers were protecting us. I clearly remember while dancing , huge Indian flag dropped down by a toddler and one Chinese officer,he picked it up and gave it to nearby adult.\n\nLife is valued, humans are respected,laws are followed here so I don't regret my decision of migrating but yes, honestly I do miss India as well and I am proud I am an Indian.

My dad came to this country in the 80s; I was born here. I had a lovely childhood in the 90s and 2000s. My parents bought a house in suburban Toronto with just a high school education. They sent us to public school, which was perfectly good. I was looking forward to buying my own house, etc. I loved this country. Even back then, people were reticent about being too nationalistic. But I was PROUD to be Canadian even though my parents were not born here. I thought of myself as Canadian, I sang O Canada proudly, I celebrated Remembrance Day in a solemn way even as a child, and I would have died for the country if we had been at war. \n\nWell, not anymore. I don't recognize this country after years of Trudeau. I can never buy a house here, the cost of groceries is burdening me, and the younger people in my family can't even find part time jobs as students. People are increasingly rude, crime has me on edge, it's congested. Freedom of speech, which was taken for granted when I was very young, is dwindling away. Churches have been burnt, Trudeau has incited hatred against people who disagree with him. I'm actually moving to the USA to work there, so that will ease a lot of these issues. (I know it's not perfect down there, but having spent a lot of time there, I can see many things are better). But I'm sad. I'm sad for my family that still lives here. I'm sad that the country I once loved is gone.

So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. I am 45yo and from Brazil. I visited Canada for the 1st time when I was 12. I fell in love with it. Decided I would live there some day.\n\nTen years ago I returned with my wife. The idea was to show her around and see if she was onboard with my plan. She loved it!!!\n\nI am the kind of guy who plans ahead (military...). Our plan was to get papers in order and apply for residency so we would move there around 2025 or 2026.\n\nOur plans started to change about 5 years ago with all the madness that came to Canada during and after the 2020 flu season. \n\nWe recently got our permanent residency elsewhere with better climate, great food, lower costs and much more freedom. \n\nWe are moving next year. \n\nBut Canada taught us that one has to be paying attention to the signs. It all changed so fast in Canada. \n\nBut it is still a beautiful place. I just do not intend to call it home anymore.

I have read most of the posts, and as a 78 year old female senior, who was accepted with my mother and father, as refugees 68 years ago into Canada, I can't believe the garbage reasons why these people are unhappy here.\nI am also a well travelled person, 36 countries on 5 continents. I feel bad for those who were duped into coming here to Canada. They had big dreams of becoming successful here, instead not being able to do that and being forced to live in cramped accommodations. I work in healthcare, and a lot of people who work in the facility in which I'm employed were brought here from the Philippines and India, mostly. Some were hired directly by this employer, while others came here some other way. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. Sad about leaving Canada? You get taxed up the….., it’s frozen for half of the year, the people are also frozen and they try to stab you in the back (especially in Quebec). A childhood classmate of mine visited Canada and these are her impressions: people are fat, disgusting, it’s boring, depressing, cold, gloomy; every second person is in a wheelchair but they don’t have to be, pretending to be disabled because the government pays them for disabilities, etc. After going back home every person that she saw on the street was extremely gorgeous in her eyes after the horror that she saw in Canada…. This is obviously a little exagerated and coming from someone whose expectations were high but you get the point.\n\nWe don’t need to be driving brand new cars all the time, live in brand new homes and spend thousands of dollars for the services that we don’t really need… life is all about simplicity and being able to enjoy every single moment: so many countries in the world offer that: not Canada.

I grew up in Brazil, been living in the UK for a long time, I've been to Toronto in 2017 and LA, New York, I saw homelessness everywhere. In the UK things have been bad for a long time. Accommodation is very expensive and landlords are very dishonest. It's too expensive to live in Canada as an entrepreneur with unstable income and it's actually better to work remotely in a cheaper country, even if it's less stable. \n\nAs a few other comments have noted, many issues North America has developed are global issues. Many people don't realize many of the issues are from Central Banks lowering interest rates to zero or negative all to back stop aging demographics. This has been the trend for 30+ years if you check charts of interest rates and government bonds.

Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. This is just a plain racist law. Uber also sucks in Germany because they over-regulated it. So you cannot get around if you don’t live INSIDE a big urban center.

Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. Indians creating quick access to permanent resident schemes in Canada is an issue.\n\nStill, so much of the population earns under $50k where they cost the govt more than they contribute. Okay so no 100 k wont' get you that life you dream of, you'll get by in BC, but you can't buy anything. You can rent, you need 200 k now in BC, Kelowna average house is 1.1 m, Vancouver 1 bedroom is 3000 +, nobody wants to live in a jail cell, but maybe some wierdo's do? I don't know. \n\nIf your working and making 100 k in Vancouver, your working likely many hours for that, meaning there is no pay off, no car, rent a small apartment, have little savings.\n\nNow here's the REAL catch. If you make what some think is rich in Canada say 300 k a year. That works out to 182,000 after taxes, pension etc. Now homes in Vancouver, well let's maybe look at small condo's, hmm lets say a 850 sq foot condo sets you back 900 k, monthly mortgage is 6000, that's 72,000 a year, insurance, no car okay can't afford it, maybe a small car, 1000 a month insurance, payments fuel etc, cable, internet phone, etc etc food, another 2000 for a family of 3, wife one child. Thats now 9000 a month, dental, eye glasses, clothes, sports, other, another 1000 a month, 10,000 a month = 120,000 a year to live in a small 2 bedroom condo in Vancouver. Oh and condo fees 500 per month, so 126,000 a year, no extras yet.\n\nmeaning if you make 300 k a year and lets add on JOB expense, usually with high income comes some expenses, lets call it 6000 a year, suits, whatever. Thats 132,000 minus the after tax income of 182 and your left with 50,000 per year for savings and xmas, travel etc.\n\nNow you make 300 k a year and you live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and maybe some day, 10 years down the road you can buy a home. \n\nAnd the max you can afford on 300 k a year is around 1 million after a 100 k deposit.\n\nNow if you make more than that, there is NO reason to live in Canada, in BC they take 48 % of my income and what do I get lol, zilch, bad health care haha fun,

Sorry to say that but Indians are very corrupt, they are trying to cheat any system or any rule. They are the ones behind all kinds of illegal implementations on: Immigration(selling jobs which is illegal), banking system(forging income documents to get high Mortgages from banks), cheating on documents(like fake school letter of acceptances or fake banking statements) and exams(offering to enter exams on behalf of others with a charge). These are not general considerations, I personally am in the know of all these examples myself and I am hearing many others. \nAdditionally they are disrupting the labor market by lowering life standards. To be specific, there are many indians, living 10-20 people in the same home, lowering their life costs, then going to businesses offering for a much lower salaries, hourly wages since their living costs are considerably low. This is not a fair competition, you can not expect people to live in barracks, just to be able to compete. this is disrupting social life.\nThe pooping and these kinds of senitary examples are just the icing on the cake. \n\nFinally, the indian community are not trying to come in to Canada and be a part of the community and the system, instead they are trying to turn this country into India, which they are running from in the first place. \n\nCanadians are nice yes, but any sound person should react accordingly if their kindness is abused. \nOfficial are needed to take actions on this, since I don't expect the Indian comm unity to behave.

I'm Canadian born and raised. My grandparents came from England after WW2 for a better life and sadly the Canada that they immigrated to is long dead. \n\nThe lack of opportunity and the insane policies of the federal government has severely decimated the quality of life in Canada. I wanted to start a family and own a home, nothing huge or extravagant, just something to call my own and all of that seemed impossibly out of reach to me. I had a somewhat well-paying job and lived within my means and I could not seem to get ahead. I didn't own a large or new vehicle, rarely ate out and would always try to buy used. Still, I could barely save or invest anything. \n\nNot wanting to live in a place that just wants me to be poor, lonely and unhealthy I pulled the trigger and left for Eastern Europe. I have no regrets and while it has been a difficult and stressful process, it has been well worth it.
