Not that many people in the developed world are shopping for an alternative country. So I imagine most Americans and most Canadians will be content with their nation of birth. But as a Canadian, I have to admit I'm a bit scared of the US. The level of violent crime down there is such that _many_ (not all) people feel they need guns for personal security. American prison rates testify to a level of desperation and alienation that is _not_ appealing to me. I don't want to live somewhere where owning a deadly weapon seems like a sensible idea! Also, as a struggling creative/entertainment person, I can't guarantee I'll be consistently earning good money – there are plenty of lean times in my biz. I don't want to be repeatedly worrying about my health coverage disappearing, whenever work dries up. I've never had that type of anxiety in Canada, and I sure appreciate that. Btw, although the Canadian health system is a long way from perfect, I've always managed to get appropriate care, according to my needs, quickly enough, at no cost to myself. And currently, I really like my GP _and_ my specialists!

The issue is the people are scared of the government in South America and Mexico and because of that of course they’re going to try and flee so here’s the solution we invade Mexico and South America. And turn their government into how are government works that way the people of south America and Mexico will have individual liberties and will be protected from their government by a constitutional republic like we have in America Also allowing regular citizens to be able to defend themselves is critical and allowing citizens to have freedom if a citizen cannot protect themselves from any threat foreign or domestic, they will not be able to stand up for themselves and a lot of countries in south America do not allow you to own firearms legally, and that means only criminals have the firearms

Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. As a Venezuelan who migrated and still travels in the proper ways I can surely say many there want true help. Venezuela is insane compared to what you people even live whit, best work you can get there will make you up to 90-120 bucks a month, no food in supermarkets, some insanely expensive which will make you choose between buy bread or tuna and rice for a whole month ( imagine not being able to eat your favorite meats or prefered food FOR MONTHS, EVEN SOME YEARS) , if you are a professional or educated of course the opportunity grows up but not in a socialist country. as we know you can be a socialist in a capitalist system but not the opposite and this is a fact. Those people are genuinely scared with no home back in their country as for many houses and private properties have been removed with force, some of you sure will be wondering how or why not to follow the main curse to migrate? I had to spend 3 days sleeping on a huge queue with many other people also sleeping in the streets to get our passport(that's was the easy part, 4 years to get the date to finally get that fucker passport.), something so simply done in other countries which such ease, not to mention the whole cost for a passport (I knew people who paid aroundn 700usd to get it asap). \n\nPlease don't pitty these people nor hate on any inmigrants, some families there really wish for a future, and again as someone who had the opportunity to do my papers. All of those people that cross illegally are detained and returned. Don't be fooled by the scare tactics they use every single time it's getting close to elections. Well Canada is a great country, my grand parents were able to get here in 1957 with their 3 kids, after going through and surviving WWII, work in Europe was scarce and employers were abusing their workers everywhere. My dad was one of those 3 children's, he met my mother here, they had me and my sister. Today i have 3 boys of my own and my sister has 2 girls. Canada has any country as their plusses and minuses, but i wouldn't live anywhere else. I've lived my whole life on the south shore of Montréal, worked in and around Montréal for 35 years. Never ran out of work as long as i was willing and able to work. I've worked in all my life, 65% immigrants and 35% Québecer's. There both are kinda racists in some way and they have there own reasons as well. I was bullied in school till i was 11 years old, i had an accent and dressed differently since my dad made our clothing. Being ridiculed, pushed, punched etc, and then one day the bully of the school approached me and wanted to fight me. I was scared, everyone else were laughing, so i clenched my fist and punched that kid right on the nose. Everyone got quiet and the principal came out, we went to his office and then he asked me straight away : Are you gonna do this again or was it a one time thing ?? I said it will be one time thing unless someone else wants to fight me again, then i will have to defend myself again. He said ok and now go back to class, and that was that. But in the 1970's with the augmentation of people moving here after WWII, people in Canada were scared immigrants would steal their jobs etc. My grand father worked all his life till he died at 82 years old. Worked 6 days a week, 12 to 16 hours a day. My dad had worked all his life 70 hours a week and sometimes 85 hours a week. People complaining about doctors or hospitals, a lot are going in for a cold, the flu, headaches etc, for sure take 2 aspirin or tylenol and stay home, no need to see a doctor for that. If you have a broken limb or were in an accident, you go right in and get fixed up without issue really. Any country as it's inconveniences in the end ?

Person living in South Korea here ??‍♀️and contemplating between moving to either USA or Canada! So this was interesting! I tested the waters and traveled to the USA last year! They both made good points, food isn’t that great but the people are so sweet and inviting. I was scared because of what I usually see on the news but I didn’t experience any of the horrible things I read, but then again I was very cautious.

Maybe he has religious intentions but we need to understand its not India, its USA and they have their own laws + there are many many incidents where school shooting happens or people get killed by things so people are scared of anything that they think can harm them. I lived in U.S for 3 years. Everything is great except one's social life and mental health. Economic stress making people life miserable. I am from Pakistan which is considered a third world country but people are not so stressed out as they do in U.S.\nAfter careful analysis, I decided to move back to Pakistan and I am almost stress free now. \nMinimum wage jobs, higher cost of housing òr mortgage has made majority's life miserable. People are scared of each other in social interactions.

Nice video. But that’s absolutely not the complete picture, not at all. Most of the city has more people and houses are right next to each other. After few blocks they have open space, park for kids and play ground. Such as NY city. Go to Queens or Brooklyn or Bronx or even Manhattan. Please don’t scare people! For sure if anyone come from Africa or Asia or Latin America would never miss their country. You gonna find same food, clothes, and society here. Even better. My experience about Canada after living here for a few years now: \n1): Healthcare: There are two sides of it. If you need a specialist, forget about it, just live with your disease or problems and hope it will cure itself and won’t get worse. If you are in a life threatening condition and need a surgery, you’ll get it and the medical bill won’t scare you. I needed a dermatologist, never got one, eventually had to fly to the US for a simple treatment. \n2): Taxes: You’ll pay extra to take care of the large aging population of Canada and to maintain the infrastructure in the extreme cold weather. But, you can make a good use of your RRSP and TFSA accounts, and you can also buy American stocks without paying taxes. \n3): Travel and transportation: Forget about public transportation methods like buses and trains. You’re on your own. But a vehicle ownership isn’t very hard here. \n4): Social networking: Good luck with that. Good luck finding friends here or being a part of a friends group. Canadians are polite but not outgoing and extrovert. Most people make a few friends in Schools and College. You’re not going to see people of different races and origin hanging out with each other. \n5): Real estate: Population is growing, population is aging, it’s all happening but what’s not many houses are getting built. Buying your own house isn’t easy. If you’ve bought one, good luck with the energy prices. \n5): Landscape: It’s gorgeous out here, if you want to be happy in Canada, go out for sightseeing.\n6): Jobs: Totally depends in which jobs you can fit in and what previous experience you have. If you have previously done exactly what the job profile is asking for, for sure you can find a job.\n\nIn the end I would say, I have lived in many places, each come with their downsides, you have to see what works for you.
