Thank you Canada. Maybe feeling Trump's policies directly will get into the heads of the selfish MAGA Americans and shake them free from their cult. Sadly, the welfare of their fellow Americans wasn't enough to vote for democracy, and now they will have to personally feel the pain. We, the defenders of democracy, will feel it too, but it's necessary to shake some sense into these idiots. This is years of Russian propaganda coming to fruition. Sorry Canada, I have voted against this, I have written and called my representatives, I have written and called politicians across the states begging them to stand up for us. I have gone to protests, I have done everything I can do while still remaining peaceful. Hopefully your country's justified retaliation can prevent the inevitable next step.\n\n-American progressive, USMC veteran, ally to Canada, Ukraine, and Europe.

Little Trump is not a president nor is he a businessman. He’s a scared little rat a draft dodger and think America if he was afraid to fight in the war then what makes us think that he would protect us now he’s a scared rat. He’s afraid of his own shadow. The family kids and the grandchildren are the ones that are going to feel the damage he will do to this country in four years. This is how a leader should speak. He speaks with sincerity and with clarity. He doesnt speak broadly just to an entire audience. He speaks to each group of people that this is concerning to, and making sure we understand the magnitude of this situation. He adjusts how he speak to each group, and also to our sad president. Thats the vibe of the message he was giving me. Many different types of languages and emotions are spoken at the same time.\n\nI love our country, but I do not agree with how our currents presidents policies, changes, and tear down of our government/agencies in just 2 months. I cant imagine the months to come. People are already struggling, and are divided so much more that Americans are not siding with each other, but siding with Canada and Mexico who have been so patient and understanding with us. We need to stand up against our president to stop this isolation and division. We are already divided in our country. I can't stand to see we are starting to be divided globally. This will litterally shrink our economy and our opportunities. Not only that, it puts our national security in peril. We need to do better to work together in harmony.

Nobody in the history of time CAN STOP THE flow of American minds, voices, and history. Americans are world leaders in peace, and prosperity. We all feel for you here in Canada, and it is so sad to see your country being turned into something that it is not.

It seems sad that it took an action such as the one the US government had to do, to make Canada realize that we should work together as provinces and as people. Canada knew very well that our big brother in the south has been fiscally hurting since years and had been racking up enormous government, corporate and private citizen debt. If this were to continue it would pull down every single country in the world. Perhaps if the US is becoming fiscally responsible, truly eliminate fraudulent and unnecessary spending and refocus on their local economy (just like China has been doing in the last years) the rest of the world and even Canada can finally focus on their strength and local markets. After all, don't we all miss our local stores, local artisans, vibrant neighborhoods with diverse businesses and a pride in having made in our own country? May I say that this Trump era will give the whole planet a new perspective for changing our ways, reliance on others and taking the easy and greedy road!

Canadian here....appreciate JT's message, and stand by him in this situation, but sadly know that our long friendly relationship with the USA does not matter at all to this administration. JT's message does not matter to that administration, or their MAGA followers. Fentanyl from Canada isn't a real issue - in fact, significantly more comes into Canada from the USA, along with guns, than the other way around - but that fact doesn't matter at all to the administration or their MAGA followers. Facts and logic are not involved in this. Canadians are quiet and peaceful people who are proud of their country, and we are coming together over this shared cause. We will weather this and be stronger as a country for it.

As a disabled US Veteran I did NOT vote for this administration. I do not want these tarrifs. And I feel sad for our country. This is not what our country stands for. This isn't our agenda. I feel ashamed and embarrassed by the country's actions in the last month. I'm sorry Canada and Mexico. There are other ways to deal with these issues and tarrifs are not it. People are only now realizing the HUGE mistake they made.

I would say if you stop the flow of drugs into our country like Trump asked you to do and tighten up the border. I am really sad to see Canada slide. The USA is loaded with 20th Century industrial equipment that still works. Industry really is important to countries with plenty of resources, as Americans are finally realizing.\nToo bad that Canadian agriculture is such a small part of its economy. In the center of the USA, I always look for produce from Canada over any other place, including the States. Their products are simply the best.

As a US citizen, I am sad for both Canada and the US. We were great allies, and now that is gone. I wanted to move to Nova Scotia and start a new life doing my art and be a part of a culture I love. This is why it is so important to participate in the election process! The future is uncertain, but for those who care about our countries, we need to work together to bring back democracy and bring down the cost of living. It is insane what we are experiencing now!
