They have huge posters in the Philippines that say come to Canada and how easy it is. The Posters are everywhere promoting going to Canada! That is what is going on even outside our country!

I wanted so badly to become a Canadian but sadly, after living in Vancouver for 1.5 years, it became apparent that staying in BC would mean never being able to afford to start a business (let alone buy a house) and that making friends was not something locals were interested in doing. I discovered that Canadians were exceedingly polite and helpful to others in the community, but not friendly. The difference is someone being kind enough to return a lost wallet (with the money/cards still in it!! WOW) or phone but won't invite you to their homes, join friend groups, or social circles. Side note.. I also learned that I prefer more overt racism than the polite version experienced in Canada. At least you know where you stand with someone..

I think the reason why some immigrants are emboldened to disrespect Canadian culture and values is because people are taught a false narrative. For a long time, we were taught that Canada is an immigration country and all are welcomed. It makes immigrants believe that our tolerance has no bound.

I really hate when people say there is no culture in Canada!! How so? Of course Canada doesn't have long history but still Canadians need to protect their identity. Multiculturalism and diversity is BS !!! As an immigrant myself I don't want to live in the country full of diasporas. People are escaping from their homecountries and trying to rebuild, preserve and amply their culture and identity into a new country! wtf?

Our feds are actively promoting with advertising to come to Canada in India. I don't know this for sure but a few Indians have posted comments to this effect to me...So, I don't so much as blame the Indians for wanting to come when our government is actively promoting such things. It seems to fly in the face of what a lot of Canadians want these days and they haven't gone out of their way to inform the Canadian public that they are doing such things, but the mood in this country has really gone sour in the last few years and the feds either don't care or are too incompetent to know that...

The real problem is that Indians don't assimilate very well. In Fiji Indians were first brought in 1879. After more than a century they finally took over the government. This has led to 4 coup de tat. I personally wonder if Pierre Trudeau implemented a plan of social engineering in order to destabilize English speaking Canada. A very real problem is legislation that has favoured minority groups. The 1984 Multiculturalism Act has stifled debate on the subject and the Employment Equities Act of 1986 has allowed minority hiring quotas to discriminate against the majority. Just remember that it was Canadians that voted for this.

Being Indian, I think your government should have clear mapping between immigrant and value she is adding to economy. Canada is one of the least densely populated major countries and the problem for your housing prices is less than 1M immigrants over the past 2years? Talk about how incentivizing home ownership as a wealth building vehicle turned into a bubble and a ponzi scheme as those housing investments outpaced other investments. You know who can still afford to buy up houses, hold them, and prevent the market from deflating? Corporations. Shifting taxes that hurt poor people (like income and sales taxes) onto land value taxes would stop most of this. It would become expensive to sit on vacant investment houses and corporations and landlords would be forced to sell them.

Thank you for educating Canada. Most of these students are not at fault but unfortunately, they are trying to stay in Canada. We need to control this immigration problem. The school is not responsible for monitoring the number of visas given out. It is the government that allocates the visas. Embarrassing that they are blaming the schools. Haven’t people studied abroad in the past with no issue? Like exchange students ect? Why now are there all these expectations of staying afterwards? I feel bad that they were lied to by agencies in their home country, but their anger should be towards them (the people that lied to them) not the country they are a guest in. \n\nAlso, I haven’t researched this but, I wonder if they behave the same and make demands of other countries they study in, or if it’s just Canada they think they can walk all over and push around.

Too many Indian temporary students, the newcomers, are suffering on top of all canadians. If one of the 2nd largest population immigrates to Canada, it affects all of us. It's like pulmonary ventilation. When the volume decreases( job), the pressure increases( job crisis). All the food, Hospitalities, and health sectors are filled with temporary Indian students because of Recruiters in HR are all Indians and their priorities are only Indians as they understand these 70% Indian students have huge loan back home and came with fake financial documents that were presented at the Canadian consulate at India. Need to investigate them. Every day, there are Indian newcomers, and our Canadians homeless and Burglars are on the rise. The Govt has to stop issuing a visa now.
