As a Canadian comparing us to the United States is like comparing us to apples and oranges I live in Canada I'm perfectly happy sure it's not the cheapest thing ever but then again where is cheap I am a proud Canadian and always will be and yes we're moving to the United States no thanks I'd rather not get shot ??

Being a brown person is in fact a good thing medically. \n\nWe all need to find means to live in harmony and not create nuisance or bother others, be it an immigrant, outsider, natives, local, westerners…..\n\nLet’s make the world a better place to live in peace and harmony. Being an Indian immigrant myself (now a citizen), this is absurd. There's rules to follow. There's 3 problems as I see:\n1) The structure of the Canadian economy - heavily dependent on services, natural resources and real estate. Due to this Education has become a business. Colleges, Universities & Diploma Mills are more than happy to admit international students who pay 3 times the normal fees. \n2) Lack of a screening process - not taking in immigrants based on skill and education.\n3) Taking in too many immigrants from 1 ethnicity & region - the Indian state of Punjab, a region suffering from drug epidemic, alcoholism and crime. Not sure why you'd want low quality immigrants. If you notice all the protestors here are Punjabis. Canadian immigration is business in Punjab. Many immigration consultants here in Canada are Punjabis and have business links back home.

If a group of kind-hearted people start a new religion. This new religion set up a rule that all followers of the religion must carry an automatic gun or CP at all times. The reason given in this new religious book is to protect fellow humans from aggressive gunmen. Will govt allow them to board planes or go to schools, universities, hospitals, and public places? will all these automatic weapons be under freedom of religion or law of land? \n\nI am not sure if people agree but religion is based on beliefs and laws on experience. Commonsense tells that beliefs are personal and should be kept in personal space.\n\nThe university should not have apologized but should have expelled the person to carry a weapon in public places.\n\nThink of a gang that classifies them as religious and carries knives or swords in public places. Further, this is not the medieval age where you needed to carry weapons because you believed in a rule written 500 years back based on that time's need.

I am immigrant myself living in Canada since 1981 it is too many Indians that for sure balance immigration is the best I do not like to see from one type of immigrants diversify.

as much as i agree with most of this, this is just right wing propaganda. Sure toronto has a housing crisis from immigration but that doesn’t account for the rest of the provinces and territories, or even other canadian cities. As the one man said he has basically made a choice to be homeless, these people are addicts, not hard working people like the immigrants.

As an Indian , i also oppose mass immigration but its really Canadian Government and its special interest groups who created this situation in the first place. Also the students who are protesting have a valid point. If the courses they enrolled for were eligible for PR when they applied , its not fair to remove it when they are passing out. Sure you can implement it for all future intakes but not for those already enrolled.

Canadians have their homeless and disabled and elderly to take care of, not foreigners... taxpayers pay for infrastructure, unis get rich and then taxpayers have to dish out billions for immigration.. yes, immigration costs around $20 bln per year, not sure how much those students cost.....

Canadians don't give drug addicts drugs. The government has decided to misuse taxpayers dollars in all sorts of ways, INCLUDING supporting drug addicts on the streets by giving them drugs with taxpayer dollars. We would make many different choices, for sure.

You can be sure someone in government, a system created centuries ago by wealthy parasites to control the people, has told them they do have rights. I worked driving coach with a man from Egypt who was a lawyer, he was told by immigration he could be a lawyer here, our laws are probably very different than Egypts. The other part of the issue is these supposedly smart people take a persons word for it and do no research.

Really disappointed in Pierre P with his stand on immigration and foreign students...he losing my vote and donations,with his stand on this topic. Slow immigration and send those students back home, it is just a scam as they are noted for that, they have no right to protest in Canada too!! Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. If your white here they won’t even rent to you even if you wanted to because they know the only people that will live in those conditions are them. Rental adds being racist saying only brown people but if we we be put on blast.Not to mention they will only hire their own kind once they have ones in management. \nI had ones move in my place and sure enough 10 + people in it within 2 months and the place is already infested with roaches.\nAnd we wonder why crime , drugs and homeless is going crazy.\nUse Canadians need to start fighting back doing the same only hiring and renting to Canadians. Start threatening them do go back home but no we don’t because we all sit back and do nothing. If I had attempted something like this after my two stints at USA educational institutions, I’m 100% sure I would have had my ass kicked all the way north of the 49th by a official govt type entity. Without delay!!

Indians work hard and they educate themselves. Look who’s taking over the restaurant industry in Ontario. Look at the number of doctors, IT professionals, engineers and other professions. Indians, especially Sikhs, are heavily involved in farming. We Canadians, and I’m a third generation Canadian, have become content and lazy. Most of us won’t put in the hard hours on a farm or restaurant or the hard hours and dedication to become doctors. Like it or not we need immigrants. And when Poilievre wins the next federal election you can be sure he understands what immigrants bring and how vital they are to our aging country.

Trudeau will soon find he has no real friend! Canada .....the true north strong and free ..... sure ?

Wasn't that long ago when I was an exchange student to Canada that I wasn't allowed to work at all, had to live on campus, have x amount of money in an account controlled by the Uni and had to gtfo by a certain time. Not sure why these guys feel they are entitled to work or stay in the country.

Nobody gives a two penny F to Canadian education. It’s sub par anyway. The unsaid deal has been simple - you pay, you stay. I’m not sure if staying in a sinking ship is a good idea but that’s a different story.\n\nI am not saying that the deal is good. But it’s fair, considering the absolute shit quality of these students as well as these colleges. And if this deal is broken, and if these “students” are thrown out, then the revenue and taxes that Canadians get will be thrown out as well. They know that well and that’s why they caved in. I lived in Ottawa all my life...maybe 2015, they started coming in so fast, I've never really seen so many Indians...now they're all over the place. Not saying it's a bad thing. Just what I've noticed. And lately I have been seeing them in Gatineau but knowing Quebec has new French rule, this may not want them to go live in QC. I think Vancouver has a lot of Chinese and Indians. Just the way it is. They say white people had it too easy and just demanded more from the government whereas Asians will come here for a better life, possibly doing labor work and not complain, so is this is the government is accepting of them? Are they helping with the economy? I am not sure where where all these numbers are coming from.

Canada is freezing for me. I like Canada and I think most Canadian people are nice and amazing, but I am not sure if I will stay here. Many people argue which race would dominate in Canadian future and my answer is: who can survive winters.
