I’m an expatriate, currently in Malaysia. Honestly, I feel like it’s a heaven. Paying $600 per month for a 1550 sqft 3 beds big apartment and having 2 bunnies ?? as our pet. Maintaining a BMW 5 series car. I roughly make $110k-$120k a year and my overall expense in Malaysia about $36-40k yearly and having a lavished life. Every month me and my wife go for trip as it has so many beautiful places including stunning islands and highlands. The only issue is here they don’t provide PR or citizenship, however it’s a truly heaven if you have a solid visa status. I was planning to move to Canada but after watching the video I’ve been disappointed and I’m afraid to visit Canada. What do you think about moving to US?

I am an immigrant to Canada and it is very difficult to live here now. I love Canada, I think it is a beautiful country with so much potential, it's just EXTREMELY costly to eat and exist at the moment.

I think alot of our people think...whats the sense in working for minimum wage...you make it Trudeau takes it...taxes seen and unseen leave them with little. Just because you had the privilege and the means to be developed does not give you the right to demean other nations. It's always difficult to see changes around you and your home being in your words being raided by foreign entities. Guess what? The world is filled with different ethnic groups. Hundreds of years ago all your native homes were part of the indigenous people here and they didn't even have time to complain or lament online when the Europeans butchered them and massacred their homelands, claiming the land and setting up as their own. Now you are in a position to call something your home and we all know what all your ancestors did regardless of how good you are right now. The least you can do is not comment such provocatively online against other ethnicities or is this atrocity still there in your blood. It's very simple. Try to think beyond frustration and be grateful for what you have. \n\nBy the way I can write more but I don' think it's worth my time but maybe positive things can happen if you put your mind into.

I'm a Canadian citizen with permanent residence in the states. You're delusional of you think it's any better here. I think it’s just the normal thing, questions are asked in every port of entry, I came into Canada about a week ago and was asked exactly same questions in Toronto airport all you need is have all your documents handy and be bold in answering all the questions you are asked and be genuine. There is no need being afraid once you are sure of the purpose of your trip then you are good. I’ve been to several countries and it’s almost same questions at every port of entry. God help us.

well, there was the wave of immigrants that came to Canada from Europe, and pushed out the indigenous, and established the christian way of living, including christian churches all over the country. So, we are now seeing another wave of immigration. I think we need to put this in context of history. This is simply natural evolution and time to figure out a way to work together, get along etc.... Having traveled a fair bit; I've found Canadians to be some of the most simplistic, narrow minded people I have ever met. Many of them seem to lack basic critical thinking skills and have a lot of trouble forming their own opinions.

America is a good place to live. I have visited a number of places in the USA and it's a free first world country with alot of fun and cool places to see and do. Just like every country in the world there are positives and negatives. I think that the health care is majorly flawed in America. Health insurance is too expensive for the average person and if you get really sick and don't have health insurance in America you are probably going to die. I also don't like that there is no gun control and way to many murders and violence in the USA. Those are the 2 biggest problems that make me not want to live there.

Will be in Vancouver this Friday from SO CAL. In general, your city just like any major cities in USA are having the same issues pretty much. It is worst here in Los Angeles, San Francisco I think. \n\nWe were in Toronto for a short time and enjoyed visiting cities outside Toronto as well. \n\nI did not see much homeless or safety concern at all there in Toronto unless. Don't you think this is a bit sensationalist to say no one wants to live here, considering millions are immigrating each year (way too many of course, but clearly many people want to live here)? The housing shortage started decades ago with the defunding of CMHC, which you didn't even mention. I guess it's convenient to have one (contemporary) scapegoat as opposed to realizing that all of these are systemic and GLOBAL issues that have been brewing for some time. Political parties are simply corporate pawns, and this is the same the world over.
