As a Christian nation, Canada could tilt the immigration scales back into our favour by allowing in only people that are white from white European nations and the United States.\n\nHowever, Canada IS a Christian nation! And, in the Bible, God warns us all that in His eyes there are no favourites, nor does He show partiality from one group of people to the next.\n\nMy genuine concern is that foreigners from India or wherever and the illegal border crossers dwelling in Canada illegally most probably come from countries that do not know God or the Bible. And they either do not know or are ignorant of the fact that they are truly blessed to be in a peaceful Christian nation like Canada. And that they may cause strife or destruction to Canada either by malicious intent or willful ignorance.

Well, Canada as a whole is still well over 85% white European, fortunately. Canada is FINALLY reducing the number of student visas and temporary foreign workers entering this country. And I believe that Canadians have also finally had enough of Justin and the Liberals and will elect a Conservative or Conservative leaning government in the next election.\n\nThere are also other ways to peacefully protest what is happing with Canada right now. When it comes to employment, social or political circles, the white Canadian population can just stick with and help ourselves first before we can help anyone else. And that will depend on how easily or difficult it is for foreigners to assimilate and integrate into our country and culture. And if their behaviour is peaceful or violent and destructive.

My favorite are the immigrants who come to Canada and then complain about not enough housing when they are the reason that there isn't enough housing.... You don't care that you've driven up the price of housing for actual Canadians....

If no one wants to live in CANADA, why is still so many people coming?!!

I'm irish-finnish and my ancestors came here from a combination of 1900-1948 and they were very hard-working people and made an effort to put everything into trying to fit into the older canadian society, so I respect them. Sometimes they weren't treated well and were disrespected but they tried so hard to make an impact in our country, even if it might've costed them their lives. I respect anyone who comes to Canada and tries their best to be a hard worker and integrate. However I don't respect anybody who comes here and doesn't try to fit in and leech off being a student. You never enter somebody's home and claim it's your own.

It’s unfortunate Canada supports the rest of the world’s problems. Donations of billions leave here . This should stop. Also Canada looses millions in transfers from immigrants sending cash back to their origins. \nAlso Canada supporting Ukraine in Europe is another plague here as billions of dollars leave and do not come back in return.\nBringing in Indian Khalistan supporters also hurts Canada in many corrupt ways of laundering and extortion and terror. \nThe country is good , so long as immigrants are vetted and correctly in line with Canadian society and culture.

I’ve been in Canada for over 24 years and I have never seen it like this in my life!\nThe main cause of the majority of issues is the housing crisis.\n\nWhat a lot of you might not be aware of is that we have not been building homes to keep up with the demand for over two decades. That’s why the price for housing has increased astronomically. And then our government decided to basically allow unfettered immigration in order to take advantage of the new immigrants’ money so they can use it to fund the Canadian Pension Plan.\n\nJust an FYI, the way CPP is funded is that the current group of working people are paying for the current group of retired seniors. And due to the lack of childbirths and people living longer, the CPP can no longer afford to take care of all the seniors in its system. Thus, the government devised a plan to have more people coming here so as to milk the money they have. Actually, they’ve even gone to the extent to basically allow seniors to be willingly euthanized… it’s absolutely bonkers.\n\nBut anyway, I digress… so then with housing at astronomical prices, you’re now pushing out the poor people onto the streets, causing homelessness. \n\nAnd when people are homeless, the average person will do drugs to escape reality and commit crimes to survive. Which is why it’s now increasingly dangerous in public spaces. \n\nThen, the transportation also never accounted for such a massive increase in population. At least not in Toronto. Which is also causing major inconvenience to go anywhere. \n\nIt used to be that if you lived in the suburbs, you could drive into Toronto pretty quickly but now, it takes like an hour and a half to two hours, making it extremely difficult to get around. And also, hard to take advantage of the “lower” housing prices in the suburbs.\n\nBut that’s not all. Part of the issue is that the Trudeau government wants to no longer have Canada use our oil and gas overnight, which is causing the increase in gas prices. Many Canadians still rely on gas because electric cars are not efficient in Canadian weather and are simply too expensive for your average person. And yet they cut off our supply of oil and gas which causes the price inflation of transport and anything that requires to be moved such as groceries and supplies.\n\nAnd don’t get me started on how our healthcare system is falling apart… even though we pay some of the highest taxes in the world…

My husbands sister is moving with her family to Canada this year. They wanted to before covid and we tried to talk them out of it. Now they have decided to do it. Applied and got visa very quick. If it doesn’t work out they can come back. I hope it goes well for them. But as a Canadian I have zero interest in living in the dumpster fire of a country. I'm born in the UK to Serbian parents, but grown up in Norway so I've seen three different cultures in my life all at once. I always liked Canada for being diverse because then I wouldn't have to switch between being English, Serbian or Norwegian, I could be more me because I am basically multicultural. For years I've idealised Canada and it wasn't until just two weeks ago that I got to visit and see for myself what Canada is like. I was in Toronto and also in Vancouver visiting a family that moved there from the UK I hadn't seen since I was a kid. I loved the nature (Especially Vancouver my god!) and the people, but I learned about how extremely expensive housing in Canada is to the point that it would be hard to make ends meet just renting a place let alone buying a house. Also how immigration is out of control and those who do come to Canada are disproportionately from one country being India rather than many different, which is not good for maintaining diversity. This is something I saw having lived most of my two weeks in Mississauga just south of the airport.\n\nI hope you guys finally get someone better in the next election, because I have more hopes for Canada than I do for the UK. In Canada, the major centers are too expensive. However, Canada is one of the easier countries for foreigners to come in and stay long term and make a decent living, especially from countries like the Philippines and India. If they are highly skilled though, there are better opportunities. Just don't talk about homelessness and say it is one of the reasons no to come to Canada from the Philippines. Homeless and slums are quite prevalent all over the Philippines. Taxes however are ridiculously high in Canada - but this socialist slant is not going anywhere anytime soon.

i am from hamilton and we are still very diverse here. yes brampton is quiet loaded with indians. i think what has failed is the requirements for immigration has dropped. i mean we use to have highly educated people come in but now the standards have dropped. so anyone with low standards can come walk in. pubjabi votes for jagmeet or trudeau and they are the group with highest crimes in india the state of punjab and there is a big drug and drinking culture that comes here. the minute our standards grow up with immigration requirements then we will get more educated bunch coming in. when we have greedy power hungry people run the country this is what happens. now people are fed up. the other day i was at freshco and some white guys started to lecture me and he openly admitted he is a racist. i pulled out my camera and started to record. he backed off but he could have done anything. he rude and stupid. i was also quiet upset. people were not like this and were more accepting. i can understand his frustration but he said openly he was racist and called me Fxxxxxxx indian etc... this is out of line. i also gave him a mouth full. i told him i have been here 35 years and his mood changed but its quiet disappointing how people react. its not safe or respectful. not sure where we are headed in canada.

I think maybe the Canadian government is very reckless when it comes to managing crime in Canada. The government labels all Canadians as criminals and so denies most Canadians an education, a job, housing, the ability to travel, etc. With this attitude towards Canadians, it becomes very hard to advance career-wise in Canada. So Canada imports most of its educated people from abroad. This just demoralizes Canadians and investors and makes everyone think Canada is a hostile place to do business. Please don't misunderstand me, I am in favour of stopping criminals in Canada but why are women under 16 years of age profited from getting married? Why can't foreign educated Canadians get a job here in Canada? You get my point. I'm from a 3rd world country . To me it looks like america and canada now with these left wing shit are trying to speedrun one another to see which comes to our category first. Govmnt growth and spending, housing inflation above normal, abusive taxes on essential needs like electriciy, much like Brazil, yes Brazil has one of the most expensive energy taxes in the world even though we have more than enough sources of energy, because of government.

the trouble with immigration policy in canada is that it is no longer tied with the economic need but has become rooted in an idea that immigration is something that is always progressive and desirable. Hence, the more the better, has been the guiding principle for years. any discussion of the merits of liberal immigration policy was discouraged and any questioning of an ever growing number of newcomers was portrayed as racist. bad actors in the form of unscrupulous businesses capitalized on this attitude and started importing ever larger number of temporary foreign workers which depressed wages and incomes. To the mix were added international students who came into the country in their hundreds of thousands in search of work and eventual permanent residence rather than education. critical mass was reached in 2022 and was further exacerbated in 2023. things got so completely out of control that even LPC - the champions of large scale immigration, had to implement some half-baked and half-hearted measures to stem the flow. where this will end up is anybody's guess but once the floodgates are open, they are virtually impossible to close. i am sure we will be dealing with the consequences of imprudent immigration policies for years if not decades to come.

I'm a truck driver, my old workplace was about 80% Indian. The break room smelled like fish everyday it was horrible!!! Jokes aside there's a lot of Chad Indians, they come here to work and that's ALL they do. Literally nothing else, just work, pray and sleep. Nothing wrong with that but companies have started to expect you to work for nothing and work like 65 hour weeks because they have an endless stream low-income workers from India to do it. I don't blame them for the lack of good gigs but I do blame companies for exploiting newcomers to Canada and modelling their business on the fact they can hire temporary workers

Stop the foolishness. I had my phone check at Toronto Airport in 2006 when I flew in from NYC due to my response to questions from immigration officers. I was a resident of US and my friend in Canada was undocumented, so i was hesitant to provide information about my visit. I had similar thinking then yelling at the officer as a Nigerian, but after 20years in US, I understand reason for it. If your intention for coming into the country is good, you will have no issues responding to immigration questions. You are granted student visa or visitor visa but your true intention is to stay in the country. Guilty mind always fear the truth

Canada feels like its becoming like Great Britain, an absoulte nightmare to live and have any hope! I thought about coming to beautiful Canada as had fond memories back in 2004 but it seems like most things after 2008 crash most countries are becoming a nightmare to have a decent lifestyle! Im looking at Australia for a country that offers a decent wage and lifestyle! Only problem is on the other side of the Planet from my connections! Since 2016, many International Students started coming to Canada and they moved to Brampton in particular so they wouldn't have to assimilate into Canadian way of life. I'm a Punjabi kid born and raised in Canada, who grew up in Brampton. Brampton has gone to the shits post 2017/2018 when all these International Students invaded Brampton. The older Punjabi families are moving out of Brampton and are moving to other towns, while some of them rent out their old homes in Brampton to International Students. Old Punjabis are suffering from this the most, maybe you should've interviewed Canadian born Punjabis or Punjabis who have been in Canada for dozens of years instead of interviewing some new comers and a couple crackheads. Not only are these new International Students fucking up the neighbourhoods we've been living in, they've ruined our reputation that our parent's/grandparent's generation worked their ass off to establish in Canada. Maybe Trudeau or whoever the fuck is in charge, should raise their standards of what kind of International Students can enter Canada and have a more difficult English proficiency test. Canada wants Internation Student money, but at what cost? They let in a bunch of buffoons who have no respect to the Canadian way of life.\n\nThat being said, you kind of showed a biased perspective, you interviewed a bunch of crackheads in downtown Brampton. The Sikh Gurdwara you showed actually feeds 100s of homeless people everyday. Gurdwaras all over Canada are contributing more to society than any other religious establishment including Churches. Sikh Gurdwaras give free food to anyone who visits the temple, even during corona virus they would give out packages of free food. I've seen many homeless people getting their food packed from Gurdwaras.
