Even from a liberal standpoint, this doesn't seem right. Diversity means people from diverse backgrounds. It is only India, India, India, India, and India in Canada. Get rid of all of those Indians from immigration office and let others make the decision. Indians shouldn't be granted any kind of visas.

Perhaps the reason the Conservatives don't touch the immigrant subject is they don't want to give the Liberals any type of ammunition. You just know the Libs would jump all over it with their BS rhetoric about being anti immigrant and racisism.

RAAAACIIIST!”\nI live in a city of just under 200000 population and damn near every gas station, convenience store and fast food resturaunt is employing middle Easter people only. I understand these are low skilled low income jobs but when I was a teen these were the jobs we took as part time after school jobs. It helped us save for college, buy a car, pay insurance and gas and have some spending cash aswell as it helped learn to have more responsibility.. Now teens today don’t have that. My friends two teenage kids tried applying to a few different gas stations and resturaunts and they wouldn’t even accept their application. One said he was told “ sorry we only employ family”…. It’s a corporate chain!

Irony is all these people who are getting interviewed are first and second generation immigrants as well. PLEASE DON'T push Pierre on immigration! I don't have proof but I'm sure it's just his strategy. I can't believe that a smart conservative like him isn't in favor of cutting back on immigration. I never voted for Trudeau. EVER! And before you think I am a CP supporter, I am not. I am not a Conservative. Yet when he came to power I knew it would be a disaster for this country. In the last 10 years Trudeau's Administration--or considered lack thereof--has just devastated us. His Liberal Government is absolutely disgusting. I wish people would have seen that he was never a good choice. He's enabled life in Canada to just collapse. He has not pushed for anything unless the NDP lit fire under his governments behind in the past few years. Yet they can't do everything. The Liberal Gov't consistently has been utterly lethargic in it's response to any urgency confronting Canadians. They are so out of touch and cynical in my mind it isn't funny. As a born and raised Canadian I can tell you it doesn't surprise me that people are leaving this place in droves. If I could, I would too. It is a sorrowful state of affairs. So I checked the Canada Immigration page and this is definitely federal liberal government created problem. They have opened up the immigration flood gates wide by creating federal Atlantic Canada Immigration program where pretty\nmuch anyone without skills will qualify. Then they can freely live any place in Canada. But they still have to apply. Not just walk in and ask citizenship.

International students have never received automatic entry to Canada. Actually they have to promise to return to their country in oder to receive temp visa. Looks like Liberals have really messed up with those rules. Where is the point system to qualify? Show these idiots what the requirements are and then deport them.

Most migrants from India are from the state of Punjab. Most of whom are NOT Hindus. A small fraction of these are separarist convicts who have been given refuge by the liberals and they refuse to engage with the Indian authorities to send them back for trial. As long as you blame others for your voting mistakes, you'll keep facing the same problems. It's not just caucasians who are leaving Canada. Immigrants who came legally a decade or more ago are frustrated here and are leaving and these include ones with non European backgrounds. Your view is eurocentric. Work on these areas.

Highly skilled immigrants from India are always welcome anywhere, like in the US where they have added tlmutiple times to the economy. Canada, unfortunately, is importing from Punjab ,low skilled labour that eats into Candian quality of life. These youth from Punjab can't integrate and is a burden to the economy, as they rake up zero value adding jobs. Truck driving and RE realtor don't add any value to the economy. Thanks the NDP and Liberals for encouraging import of Punjabis, who they turn into their vote bank.

As a Canadian citizen, I see that there are 3 major issues at play in this problem - \n\n1) Canadian colleges are starved off funds and do not have a sufficient, stable source of revenue. Hence they seek to attract international students who pay (at least) 4X the fee a Canadian citizen would pay. According to mainstream media such as The Globe and Mail, National Post and others, International students contribute some where between $15 to $18 billion per year in revenue to Canada. This is huge!\n\nSince this is a lucrative revenue stream for them, they have gone overboard and are providing strong financial incentives to education / immigration consultants to bring more international students here. Consequently, many existing as well as new colleges are encashing on this trend and diploma mills have mushroomed in Canada lately. This is ABSOLUTELY Canada’s fault and the accountability of fixing this lies with Canada alone.\n\n2. International students who come here often end up taking humongous debt or selling off their homes/ancestral property to be able to afford their education and hence they feel cheated when the dream they were sold doesn’t match the reality. \n\nHaving said that, International students do need to understand that they are here or a temporary visa and DO NOT get to dictate terms to Canada. It is Canada’s sole prerogative to extend their work visa or not, depending upon Canadians requirements.\n\n3. The Trudeau Liberal government benefits by giving these students extended work permits and a pathway to citizenship as it translates into votes for them. However this is an atrocious approach to winning elections and puts unnecessary pressure on the system. \n\nCanada needs to streamline this whole student visa process and take stringent action against these fake diploma mills, education and immigration consultants luring foreign students. It damages Canada’s reputation.\n\nLastly, extend the work permits of only those students that meet Canada’s labour standards and requirements and send everyone else back home.

I'm South Asian. My sister used to live in Brampton actually before the whole invasion began. Good thing she saw the writing on the wall and left. Sad thing is, many can not differentiate the browns who have immigrated pre 1990 and the ones who have come in post-pandemic. The ones coming in post-pandemic are the village trash, entitled, and snobby. Those people are the very same reasons we left our countries to begin with. It's wild that when we migrated to Canada we see the very same filth and trashy people we experienced decades ago before immigrating here. The worst mistake I have done in my time in Canada was to vote Liberal (for the first time ever) back in 2015 and many of us regret this choice.

The immigration minister is the root cause of the problem. He should be impeached. Liberalism has created a huge problem in Canada that we have never seen before. Trudeau is the worst crime misninger without any qualification and all Minions in his cabinet are worthless POS.
