Mr. Beautiful needs to go. He has destroyed this country...people cannot afford homes, crime through the roof. Most of Canadians saw this coming, but the new Canadians votes for him as they saw great opportunities to have families come to Canada. At the end we all are paying the price. Liberals simply bought votes and screwed everyone at the end. $80k job does not get you anywhere now a days. It is better to move to US rather than being here.

To be fair, in the first few seconds...I've seen communities in various countries that look Canadian/American or European, and that's not where the country was.\n\nYou can find pockets of people gathering together, hear a lot of English, find a lot of restaurants and products in stores that those people know and are comfortable with.\n\nIt's not just pockets in Canada or Britain...it goes both ways. It’s crazy the way people forget that Canada doesn’t end at the end of Quebec. I hate to break it to you, but there are still affordable places to live in this country, They’re just mostly not in the urban centres of Ontario, Quebec, BC or Alberta. If you actually choose to acknowledge the existence of the other six provinces, you can have a pretty good life in this country! with that being said, I also have a good friend who’s making $100k a year fresh out of university in downtown Calgary. Everyone saying salaries are too low, there are no opportunities in this country, I’m curious to know what opportunities we’ve actually lost? Just because they aren’t being afforded to you doesn’t mean they don’t exist, maybe this should spur some self-reflection. You do have to work hard to succeed after all! \n\nLife is hard, always has been. If you actually talk to your parents instead of trusting what others on the internet say, who also weren’t alive during that time, you might realize that things really aren’t that different now. Despite what the internet will tell you, a minimum wage job was not enough to afford a house and a car 40 years ago. Shockingly, a minimum wage job doesn’t pay enough to get you a house and a car now either! Crazy how that works

Canada hid its inflation in the housing market for a decade. The economy appeared to be growing, and real wages appeared to be staying in line with the consumer price index, but it was smoke and mirrors. If you removed real estate, GDP was stagnant. Wages were actually falling behind and people getting poorer and poorer without realising it. That’s finally become unsustainable, and inflation is showing up everywhere. And the wages are still stuck. The country is sitting on hugely valuable resources it could develop had it not put so many self-created political barriers in the way, and having indoctrinated their population about it along the way. Separately, The healthcare system is getting worse, consistently ranking 2nd last in the OECD in terms of real results delivered. The biggest problem is that the country’s economy is built on immigration to drive growth, rather than productivity, efficiency, or innovation. The more people you bring in, the more housing you need, but they’re at the point that they can’t keep up and people can hardly afford housing anyways. It’s a recipe for disaster. I left Canada by coincidence, having met someone from another country and moved there. I’m glad I left.

People say to leave the country but I was born and raised here and have no money or experience to go anywhere else…people immigrate to Canada with hopes, but where could I possibly immigrate to that won’t end up like Canada? Just today, saw an interview from an immigration agent encouraging people to move to Canada. Did he talk about high taxes and living costs, foul weather and housing crises? Not at all, he spoke as though it was still the 2000s and Canada was the place to move to. Will he be held accountable when the people he's advised to move there find out they earn a little more but pay much higher taxes? Not something I'll be betting on.

You facts are way off to the point of being misleading. Then average cost of a home in the GTA is $1.2 million and by law you need a 20-25% down payment. Even if you're lucky to get that $800k home you need a 15% down payment of 15% so that's $120k! Incomes here suck you need over $250k to qualify for a mortgage...who earns that? My circle is lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and only 2 income professionals can get that. Over the last 10 years Canada has become very anti families and anti heterosexual so most people are single. It's also become super anti social. I anticipate you chose Toronto because of the greater career opportunities available to you and your husband and perhaps you enjoy large urban environments. But most of Canada is not comprised of large urban environments, quite the contrary. \n\nI grew up in the Vancouver area. As a young University graduate I was forced to move about 100 kms away to secure career oriented employment. I moved to a small rural town surrounded by farms. I soon learned to adapt my aggressive city driving to a more relaxed pace and found people surprisingly friendly compared to the urban people I was accustomed to in the city. People smiled and said hello as you passed them on a sidewalk, that did not happen in the city. So in summary, for people who enjoy small town living their experience in Canada would likely be more positive and far less expensive. For an urban dweller, I would not recommend remote areas as some services and entertainment options are just not available. But for those who love the outdoors, there are many beautiful choices in Canada.

The Carbon Tax on gas in Canada TOOOOTALLY makes sense, but ONLY when we have viable alternatives for driving across all driving distances at all times. Which we do not. New transit projects are always faced with pushback and slowdowns from within the government itself even, and our zoning laws make it so we can only have single family detached homes which sprawls everything so far out that driving is the ONLY realistic transit method. \n\nThis carbon tax does nothing, the reason you implement one on gas is to persuade people into taking an alternative transportation method if you can, OR to source funding for transit programs so that people can ACTUALLY HAVE the option of an alternative. But in Canada? You already know that money is only going to go into maintaining and adding lanes to roadways.

Good video. As much as people want to deny it, the reality is Canada is a resource based economy. Our economy grows during commodity upcycles, and so does the $CAD. The Canadian economy will do well in the next decade but we need a government that does not actively punish what is our bread & butter.

I don't agree that North American cities are all ugly just like not all European cities are all that beautiful. Go to Rome, Naples Athens and you will see how dirty and run down these cities are. In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. That’s the thing…. In Canada, you don’t have to be strategic about where you move. Most places are welcoming. We still have some racism and issues, but I know many people of different colours and cultures that have never experienced racism in Canada. We allow others to practice whatever religion you want, as long as you don’t hurt other people. We don’t unalive each other over religion or politics. To a Canadian, the United States is not a first world country. It’s where you go to lose your rights and freedoms.

I'd say that there are a fair number of conservative Canadians who wouldn't mind living in the USA, or people who are rich enough that they could steer clear of a lot of the issues. However, I think most Canadians would list a European country as their first choice if things were going bad in Canada. We also have a lot of asian-canadians who would possibly also list an asian country as their first choice since they would already know the language. But yeah, USA is definitely not a first choice for I'd say 50-75% of Canadians.

Brampton is Indian Punjabi majority city. India has many religions and cultures but majority in Brampton are from Punjab region of India mostly Sikh and Hindu. For last 2 years, lot of students came from India and most likely they will return to India after studies are done. This is total fault of Canadian government for allowing so many people of same ethnicity, I have no idea how their quota works. Yet, in spite of him saying these words, the usual suspects have emerged in the past few days downplaying affairs. Some of them (all Muslims) are querying how authorities had been so quick, and eager to call this an act of terrorism.\n \nNeedless to say, it’s an absolute certainty that in the coming weeks that the ‘system’ will surreptitiously maneuver, and manipulate circumstances to cast this goon as being a mere aberration within Australia’s Islamic community. What this all amounts to is to prove there are no shortage of Muslims here in Australia (and, indeed, Britain, France, and Belgium/Holland, or Canada, and the US), who consider themselves answerable to the teachings of the Quran, before the society they’re in. \nIn the near future, we will be constantly bombarded with the line that this 16-year-old terrorist is not representative of Muslims, which of course is correct. However, the most ominous concern is that, there needs only to be a couple of hundred fundamentalist Muslims in the country who hold extreme views to wreak havoc. \n \nTragically, mass intakes of people from a bevy of non-Anglo/European cradles over the past 30-35 years has radically transmogrified Australia’s two largest metropolises of Sydney, and Melbourne. I’m 68-years-old and was born in Canada. I worked hard all my life. Now I can’t get a doctor. I’m told the problem is baby boomer doctors are retiring so not enough doctors. BS,the problem is the population is much greater than the resources needed to support it. Why are we bringing so many people into this country when resources such as heath care have been depleted?
