I'm American and I voted for this, Trump made it very clear he was going to put tariffs on, now CNN is saying the sky is falling ridiculous

Nowadays I’m wondering if America is a country of Trump and Elon musk or if it’s a country for Americans.\n\nI love America and I was ok with the win of Trump and I celebrated it! I was wrong ?

On behalf of all Americans with an active brain i do sincerely apologize for the dumb tariffs imposed by Trump and Musk and i hope that after Trump leaves office we can get someone who understands tarrifs and its effects and who will revoke this tariffs and restore the healthy America and Canada relationship once again.

As an American, who did not vote for trump i side with our neighbors in Canada, then and now. America should maintain and further their status as leader of the free world and free trade. Not try to bully other countries, especially not our neighbors and allies.

I know this economic war on Canada will be difficult enough already but I urge my friends north of the border to do their best to fund a massive military expansion as rapidly as possible. Trump is clearly setting the stage and manufacturing excuses so he can invade and force Canada into becoming his 51st state and he's not going to stop with just trying to cripple your economy. As a Canadian, I know that most Americans don't want this. But decisions have consequences, and - collectively - you voted for Trump in a free and fair election. He said he was going to do this. No one should be surprised.

I am not a fan of our Prime Minister but I stand beside him as a proud Canadian. Thank you Prime Minister Tuesday for sending this strong message to that traitor Trump. I will be buying Canadian and Mexican whenever possible, and have changed my European vacation plans to spend my vacation dollars in Canada this spring and in Mexico this fall.\n\nI am impressed with the alternative trade agreements Canada is developing. I’m Canadian but lived in the US for 12 years. Trump keeps moving the goal post. This is bullying, plain and simple. Do not yield, Canada. You yield to a bully and he’ll keep taking and taking. When I was growing up in Canada, hearing of someone being a “Proud American” was something I admired. Today it’s a punch line to a joke about the American education system. They have nothing left to be proud of, and I’m so thankful to be from this country instead. Trump administration or not, the American people can not be trusted to vote in their own self interest, let alone the interests of the allies that stood with them for the last century and who have lost lives sending men and women over seas to answer the American call for friendship, justice, and loyalty.
