It's essential for officials to empathize with the plight of applicants and work towards more efficient and compassionate processes. Canada's reputation as a welcoming and inclusive nation should extend to its administrative systems, ensuring that everyone has a fair and timely chance to contribute to Canadian society.

It’s a zhithole, cheapest house in poorest province is 300,000 while salaries are 45,000 a year where you take home 30,000 in a year for high taxes but people are so stupid that just won’t stop immigrating cuz they think is just like the US where you work hard and you are rewarded. The headline is wrong. These people they interviewed are not permanent residents. Therefore they can’t apply for citizenships. They interviewed these Indians who were international students. Who come here misrepresenting themselves in their visa applications. Pretending to be students but come here to work and stay. Canadian government put stricter rules on them to crack down on bogus immigration consultancy and colleges that exploit these students. This news segment is not 100 percent clear. It is true there are pr or naturalized citizens of Canada that leave the country to move back to their home country or move to another country but not all are Indians.

More or less the same trends can be seen in the US as well. I am a US Citizen and have lived here for 25+ years. The Federal Interest is on high here in order not to make immigrants afford housing. At the same time letting the people enter illegally over the border. Jobs are insecure and questionable for reduced hours etc., make it more complicated to move back to India. Kids born here will face the trauma of culture and other aspects of work and lifestyles. Moving west for better prospects of life is not the norm anymore.,

I was born and raised in Toronto. The Trudeau government has absolutely destroyed our economy and is now scamming poor developing nations to come here and work as wage slaves while packing 25 dudes into a basement. I'm a Brit who has lived here 13 years and my advice to any Brit thinking of moving here is not to. If you can live in a nice county and you have a decent job you are better off in the UK. There is a lot of decline in urban areas here, tweaking drug addicts and tent encampments the likes the UK has NEVER seen. It's incredibly expensive to rent if you want to live anywhere remotely interesting. The infrastructure is so bad, unless you have a vehicle or lots of money to keep flying, you will feel incredibly isolated here. Brits are lucky to have such a great network of public transport and close proximity to Europe and all the cheap flights to get you around there. The work life balance is not as good as the UK. Most jobs here will start you on 2 weeks a year and only increase as your service grows. So after 5 years of service you will get 3 weeks and so on. Don't expect 5 weeks vacation until you have put 20 years in with most jobs. Canada is boring, it really is and so are most Canadians who also seem to have no idea what a sense of humour is. I have found new immigrants to be the friendliest, especially those from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. Now to the wokeness of the place, oh gosh, it's so bad. The Alberta premier has just announced very sensible and much needed gender reforms which 95% of Canadians agree with. These reforms will protect young gay kids mostly. The left have completely lost their mind over this. Women here are in genuine fear of speaking out regarding their privacy and rights to single sex spaces and sports. In the UK , this is slowly improving I believe. I'm putting things in place so I can leave. I hope things improve once the liberal government are gone but it will take many years to get this country back on track.

People who come to Canada after receiving their PR struggle way too much. When you apply for a job here, they require you to have 1 year of Canadian working experience. How does someone fulfill that criteria if they've just landed in a new country? The government should instead open PR for only blue-collar jobs, which are actually in high demand. The whole immigration program otherwise feels like a scam. You shouldn't be getting any points for your educational and professional qualifications in the application when, in reality, it's not going to help you afterward. Most of the people I know here are planning a relocation because they don't see themselves owning a house anytime soon.

Some negative feedback in Canada, for sure it is true, but can't control if people come and go to Canada, I've immigrated to Canada 20 years ago, and tell you to have a good stable job as a professional from you home country to Canada to find the same spot, involves a lot of work, perseverance and motivation. In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. Really they sell a dream, as britishers are institutionalized THIEF, that mean they theft other country resources but using policies and rules. In those days, if you were willing to do any work, you would get a job within 8-10 days. \nIn 1990, a bachelor apartment went for $500 a month and a one-bedroom was $600 a month. \nAlmost all would get their 3-4 bedroom house within 10 years. \nGroceries used to be so cheap that $200 a month could support the entire family. The telephone bill was $10 per month. A Vancouver-Toronto bus ticket was only $100. \nSchool education was good, children had to give exams. It used to be very easy to see a doctor. Buses were less crowded. \nNow the standard of education has gone down so much that children become like robots after finishing school. If you have to go to the hospital, you have to wait for 8-10 hours to see the doctor. \nNew immigrants find basements for shelter. Getting your own house has become a dream now. Those who have bought houses will have to pay the mortgage for a long time. Many homeowners are paying interest only, there is no reduction in the principal. \nBus service is so sparse that sometimes more than 100 passengers wait for a 38-seater bus. \nInternational students are in a very bad situation. Spend 25-30 lakhs, live 4-5 together in basements and do hard labor jobs (warehousing, retail cashier, security). In California, Ontario at the Warehouse for designer purses i wont say which one, we have 2 immigrants who came here less than 4 months ago, they have been housed and given money and job permits. Noone at work talk to them much bc they keep to themselves. We have a homeless coworker with her dog and she is living in her car she brings dog to work too, but these 2 illegal aliens are clean, happy, well fed and are dressed nice everyday. Yes. Canada is not like what used to be as a good country to immigrate to in mid or late 1970s. Unfortunately, job opportunities, salary, wages have not kept us with high cost of living in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Also, road infrastruture have not kept 12:12 up with population growth. People should do research, check out more before immigrating to Canada these days. If you are moving to Canada for peace and political stability, then yes. Otherwise, think twice! Also, the requirement for Canadian employers to ask for Canadian experience has existed since at least the 70s. But it is absurd and stupid for employers to ask job applicants for Canadian experience since the world is highly interconnected through internet these days. Provided you are working in western world or English speaking countries, job functions and management styles are basically very similar whether it is high tech industry, banking, investment companies etc.

Great video and very helpful indeed for new comers, but my personal experience is, you can do much better in Canada if you burn the boats, you can not give it your 100 % specially when you keep thinking that you can always go back to where you come from. Most of us are not used to live independent hard working life and that’s a bottle neck and culture shock for most immigrants.

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

You don't waltz into someone's home and try to make it yours, instead be humble, courteous and show gratitude for the accommodation. Canada has been my home for the past 23 years. I will consider myself as a successful immigrant, my son born in Canada is at leading engineering university. My wife fulfilled with her career. Canada should put visa cap including immigration per country....follow the American policy. Its simply too many Indians that is changing the demographic balance by one ethnic group called Indian. The government has not invested in new housing, new infrastructure, more doctors, better on boarding for those with foreign qualifications etc. No, we just suck in huge amounts of immigrants with no real planning or investment. These past 5 years has been honestly out of control . \nI've personally worked jobs where international students knew exactly how to work the system . \nEven working directly with employers to bank hours so that they can go full-time during summer yet still get paid for the whole year as part time so the government doesn't see that they pass there maximum hours worked . \nThe access to credit aswell is super scary .
