Wow, from this video it looks like having some sort of barrier; like maybe a wall or something, actually helps prevent people from getting into the country illegally.

And then they wonder why a lot of people don’t want them into their countries.. WELL maybe because when they get in they don’t follow the legal ways and laws, then just expect everything for free. Now I love the hard-working, honest Mexicans and Jamaicans ?that help run the country, doing honest jobs that we don’t want to such as certain farming jobs in the sun etc

I can't believe we're taking in Asylum seekers from the US are you kidding me? This Country is a mess it's lowest but our Government just keeps sticking us with paying for anyone wanting into Canada. We shouldn't have any homeless vets & why does Canada think we can afford more people? Our small house we worked for & had 2 children in won't be able to keep it because the cost of living & taxes keep going up. Hours being cut & not enough money to put away. Building supplies doubled after the pandemic. I can't find the medical help I need. God help us as our Government isn't going too. No more people we should start a movement like the truckers that took over our City last year.

It's about time we don't have the money, we have a health care shortage. We can't keep letting able body Citizens whether born here or not live off Welfare going back generations. No one's screening the people who have already crossed over then once they get Citizenship they can bring all there relatives here is ridiculous enough is enough. If we had the resources is one thing but still screen anyone coming into Canada. We don't need other countries criminals & any more diseases brought here. We went through SARS then COVID-19 is here to stay.Try helping the people we already have you're burdening an already over burdened system. I'm not a cold hearted person actually the opposite just do it through immigration rules & policies. If there from Syria sure help them reach out to families that may be able to take 1,2 or maybe more into there homes to help.Quebec & other Cities or Towns in Canada can help too. The rich get richer & then there's the working poor & those who live off the system. Look what Free Trade did to this Country! People are working more for less & the cost of living is through the roof along with food prices.

This is sadly the right decision. Asylum is a special status reserved for people in imminent danger, it shouldn't be confused with economic migration. The folks crossing through the US are already in a safe country, relatively speaking. We let in a million people legally last year and most end up in major cities that lack the infrastructure to fully support them and creates undue hardship for already struggling Canadians. We are a generous nation but migration has to be balanced with affordability and opportunity for locals. This is all absurd based on outdated models of economic growth. Tax the damn billionaires that hide money offshore and build capacity for all then we can help those in danger more but we have such issues with poverty, healthcare, education, roads,food affordability and a housing crisis. Time people put Canadians interests first.

Tell me is this what you are wanting from our government? White powerful men murdered, stole land, inflicted disease and forced them onto reserves. They kidnapped their children and forced them to go to residential schools. Many Indigenous children never went back home and parents weren't informed if they died. The survivors that returned home have PTSD which still affects their families and community. Treaties are not honoured and they are the most disrespect people in Canada. We see the homes some live in and we wouldn't allow our pets to live there and some don't have clean water to this day. Our government has provided some relief; however, it is a trickle of the help and support they deserve. Many Canadians deem them as drunks, drugged and/or lazy. If we had and have to live like that we would be the same. The government whitewashed our history and don't teach true history. If you knew their true history you would be amazed at how strong many are and they continue to fight with not a lot of support from the rest of us.\n\nSo, tell me is this the help you want from our government?

Shame on those in here whining about what they don't get that refugees get. We have access to all of that and more. Did you know that the basic needs that are provided to refugees or immigrants must be paid back to the government? They get a loan, we don't just give people money because they want to live here. Once they get their SSN and are deemed fit(usually means they speak and write English) for work they are required to find work. Many come from war torn countries or unable to provide food for their children or a safe place to live. Are you that unfeeling you don't want to help them? Canada used to be compassionate and helped others. It wasn't so long ago that our relatives immigrated here for a better life.

Aren’t the Venezuelans fleeing a war stricken country and cannot return to there homes either? I know when there is a benefit to negotiate many governments work together to find homes for those displaced by war. How is it that so many people are willing to go out of their way to help people who just drop everything, and head off to another country, and there is an army of people there to support them with their every need, while ignoring their own citizens dying on the streets homeless.

I was here in Ontario since 1975 and to be honest I like my people. Brampton was very snowy white when I came here. We walked on egg shells with them, now we can be at ease and when in trouble we help one another. Welcome to the new comers. Just be good and this country will give back

The things Americans need to know is that our population needs to grow a lot to compete with the Chinese and India. And governments know this and prefer to have these folks come illegally because it’s cheaper labor for everyone. This is happening to every western country. Someone is moving these poor people. God knows they have legitimate complaints about their home countries so, how can you not be sympathetic? On the other hand, this isn't a tenable way to manage the problem. When I hear stories of how Russia is using people to pressure the Polish border via Belarus, I can't help but wonder, are there other forces at work in some cases? \n\nThis is an issue that deserves the calm attention of all affected nations. The root problem is Colombia, which opened its borders, thus allowing thousands of Venezuelans to enter, increasing poverty, crime, women full of children, thugs, etc. Latin America is full of insecurity with this sending neighboring countries problems, these people are a very serious problem where the ONU does nothing, thanks to the ONU we are as we are in our countries, the United States should deport them to their country of origin there should be a a law that returns them to their country and that they send them the aid that they say they require so much, they are lazy criminal thieves, and of course a law that prohibits them from having children. They take advantage of the good faith of these countries, when they are having children, they do not require any kind of help or support, right? they use their children precisely so that these countries give help, they are scoundrels, and measures should already be taken in this regard, The danger we are running thanks to these people, we do not have citizen security, thieves everywhere, criminal gangs operating in our countries where they are killing people, and where is the ONU ? look at the news from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, etc. and they will realize the big problem they will caused in the United States, they must stop all this. They received all the Venezuelans because there was a lot of money delivered in Colombia, they profited and stole this money, and the problem was really left in the hands of the same population.

I feel for these people but California needs help first, this place is becoming homeless central.

Poor people nobody wants them and they do need help, but why should Mexico and US have to resolve their problems. The Mexicans of the city are sick and tired of that situation. There are a lot of poverty in Mexico and with more immigrants the situation have worsened. US and Mexico need to get into an agreement and get these people home with better opportunities in their home country.
