I'm 20 and I'm doing fine in Toronto. I rent and buy food, clothes and have fun. But starting a family and having even a single child in Canada is nearly impossible. With our salaries, inflation and insane house prices young families will never be able to buy a house. Having a child in a rental sounds so miserable, living at the mercy of the landlord not knowing when they decide to kick you out. After paying for rent, bills, food and other basic stuff you have no money to invest in your child's future :( I don't want to life a pathetic life having 3-4 jobs for my kid to become a cashier with no education. Kids are very expensive here if you want them to have a decent childhood... Starting a family in Canada sounds very bad to me...

This is too much all at once ...Canada knew it had a shrinking aging population last century..plenty of time to have a gradual tapered immigration. Having too many come in at the same time is just plain dumb when the country was not ready with all social services and housing . And also in the end there isn't much consumer protection in the US. Many businesses have quite shady ways of getting your money out there. We feel a lot safer financially in Canada although there are breaches here too sometimes. I believe you need to make a good combined $300,000 depending where you live in order to make a good living in the US but the only reason why I would move really is for the climate although I would move to Mexico before moving to the US because generally speaking, Mexicans are friendlier. Very generally speaking.

Truth! The majority of Indian students came to work and not study. Why? Many had borrowed money to come or had their parents borrow large amounts of money because of the financial pressures. Many became Uber drivers adn working more than the 20 hr limit per week under the table. What is Canada going to do with one million foreign students. If you actually did study and graduate then you have a good education to go home with. These so called students are frauds, the vast majority of them were enrolled into the scam colleges in Brampton so they could bypass immigration and come to Canada and work for Indian run companies (because those companies do not hire anyone not from India), these colleges offered MC diplomas that were absolutely garbage. Indians used these colleges to get more Indians into Canada and continue to take over our country.

I think the main objective of “international student “ program is being ignored and lost here. The objective of bringing “international students” to a country is for them to study and after they finish their studies to go back to their country. Isn’t that the case? Absolutely, there should be no other expectations.Then why are they even entertaining this nonsense. Unless they want to use the “International student” program as a backdoor to enter and work in Canada, and it looks like that’s the case. They finished their “studies” they need to go back to their home country.

There was a reason they made a rule where you can get permanent residence after 6 months. Who benefits from chaos, poverty? The liberals are working hard to destroy Canada and now I see PP pushing it?
