It's about time we don't have the money, we have a health care shortage. We can't keep letting able body Citizens whether born here or not live off Welfare going back generations. No one's screening the people who have already crossed over then once they get Citizenship they can bring all there relatives here is ridiculous enough is enough. If we had the resources is one thing but still screen anyone coming into Canada. We don't need other countries criminals & any more diseases brought here. We went through SARS then COVID-19 is here to stay.Try helping the people we already have you're burdening an already over burdened system. I'm not a cold hearted person actually the opposite just do it through immigration rules & policies. If there from Syria sure help them reach out to families that may be able to take 1,2 or maybe more into there homes to help.Quebec & other Cities or Towns in Canada can help too. The rich get richer & then there's the working poor & those who live off the system. Look what Free Trade did to this Country! People are working more for less & the cost of living is through the roof along with food prices.

Make no mistake, I'm a Canadian born citizen and people are outraged by this but if anyone says anything bad they're called racists and told to shut up. Meanwhile they're the ones barely making ends meet because the cost of living is outrageous. Taxes keep increasing to pay for all these migrants.

I’m curious as to why folks feel the need to clarify the difference between Mexican and Venezuelan or some other country of origin. At no point did this video say Mexicans did this or that. Only that people were attempting to cross at the Mexico - US border.

As someone from Asia who lives with a comfortable life I guess I’m privileged enough than most people who live on the other part of the world. But still, I can never understand why people force themselves illegally. They can just go through legal process, I’m sure there are other ways. This will never happen here in our part of the world. It’s easier to spot who is not one of us. If you want to move to a new country, do it LEGALLY.

I’m Colombian and it’s sad to see people from my country lying to the authorities to get documentation. \nI know everyone wants a better life and definitely my country is not the best place for low /middle income families; however, we should understand that US or Canada have no obligations to legalize anyone. There are already so many problems to handle in their territories and with their citizens.

WE need to keep these people out. I'm in NJ and seeing this mob storm our country IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. We don't need a wall, we need an army or armed personel to keep them out - they attempt to enter at the peril of being shot out. They travel many days because they know they can just run in. As far as the 'I can't live in my country, the cartels will kill me', you need to go back home and learn a better way to deal with the cartels than running from them. We have SO MANY immigrants that come here to Canada legally and we are happy to have them....but this is disgusting. Send them back. I came to canada in 2017 as an international student, paid shit tons of money for housing, tuition fees. Worked full time after graduation,yet my immigration process is taking long. Evey step I took went through proper screening, and yet it's taking forever. Send them back. At this point theres no gurantee for people like me to get permanent residence over here. With all the back logs etc. So why should they be granted status, while my work permit expires in 6 months and immigration officers wont bother to answer my phone calls for extension. I have paid my taxes, I have obeyed the law. I'm a law abiding citizen. At this point, I'm even thinking of going back. This country wants new talents and more people to add to their workforce. But if they treat people like me like this. Then we might as well go back.

Looks like Canada still needs to learn some lessons in this regard. Ask Italy, were complete swarms arrive at the coast dead or alive from the African continent. Helping people is ok, but it needs to happen in a structured way, so that you don’t destroy your own society. I’m from Belgium and just like any nation in Europe. Multiculturalism has been promoted since the 90’s. There is no way back, and there certainly is no room for racism because of that. However a society needs to be able keep it’s integrity intact. That needs to be decoupled from the emotional aspect.

Canada needs increasing population. in 1990, Canada had 33 million people, Kenya had around 24m people. In 2023, Canada has about 38 m people, an increase of 5m. Kenya has over 55m people, an increase of 30m people, yet Kenya's size is less that 5% of Canada. The top talented canadians who have potential to become multi millionairs move to USA, while top brass university trained Africans, asians and latin americans move to USA/ Canada to get minimum wage good salaries

The Canadian border police have to say that but they will let them in and care for them. I am a Canadian and I’ve had mixed feelings about it way back before I grew up. I’m 52 years old. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. We must use this to our advantage while it lasts. \nCheap labor we can Build houses that are affordable. Fix all the infrastructure we have been crying about. \n \n5. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. Not only that but because we have immigrants we would have stronger ties to those immigrant countries which can come in handy later. You never know which country will become the next global leader and we can always use military support. \n \nIf there are other legal exploitation, we can benefit from having immigrants into our Great nation please share! I have so much to say. I'm afraid of sounding racist. I dont like it. Dealing with this right now! There has been an influx in my town. Now there isnt housing left when we were fine before. My children are being slighted when they could be celebrating their 1st apartment. My interaction has been poor with a few of these people. Impossible to communicate. Very awkward having an 8 yo translate. Many want to move into nice neighborhoods but never follow the city code enforcement or rules. Then hide behind don't speak English! I'm glad people are finally realizing that not all immigrants from the south are Mexican lol. Take a good hard look at what drug users are doing to these people. Cartels have taken over Mexico and many south of the border countries. Look into the avocado market as one example. If they don't pay the cartels they and their families are m****d. In many cases farms are stolen right from under their feet along with everything else they own. They live in constant fear of brutal violence, many are forced into being drug mules. The police and their governments are in on the take so there is nothing they can do. Illegal drug use keeps this industry going. Start taking responsibility. It's not just about you.

But a lot of these people are traveling through like 4 perfectly good countries to get to the U.S because that's their choice but When you are seeking asylum you should have to pick the 1st country that you get to that is safe and they didn't do that they came to the states because that's where they wanted to go. And that's just not right. They are taking away tax payer funds that were set aside to help other people in need that now has to be diverted to help them.
