My aunt is Lebanese and obviously her sons and daughters are too. My aunt looks white and get 0. But my cousin looks more Lebanese and he gets racism all day everyday in California. I absolutely hate it. I'm Irish, French, and German. So we all see it.

Wouldn't it be in the interest of truth to include examples of racism against whites as well? There is plenty of it going on, and it is often overt and harsh, and without anyone — including the media, which tend to remain silent about it — intervening or standing up.

Their not any different from the U.S. The only difference is that their racism is verbally open and blatant. Here in the U.S. they use subtle ways by manipulating their bureaucratic system to express it indirectly.

Let’s be honest, racism will never not be a thing, get over it.

Wow I realize how oblivious I am when out in public. Makes me wonder how many times I get racially profiled. While I can recognize there is racism, there are various factors involved for people’s behaviours. There will be people who are very clear with their message but maybe the others could be because of natural human social normalcy. I’d be interested to see an experiment by asking people to decide who are more trustworthy based on what is normal in their society, choosing between two different photos. One with full face covering and the other completely exposed.

They can't even speak English.\nThat should be the first criteria. No racism here.

Comfort or preference is not racism.

There's cases in this episode where they assumed racism without proof like the Best Buy for example. I used to work at Best Buy for a Co-Op placement in highschool and shoplifting was a big issue for them, it became best practice at one point to just approach customers of any race and ask them what they need. You also have to realize that it's an electronics store, you're there to buy something specific or look for something in particular.. It's very suspicious to be browsing around for 15 minutes unless you're in a game or movie section. Shoplifters usually stall before attempting a theft and usually do buy one or two things as to not arouse suspicion.

This was very necessary ! I love my country, but my fellow Canadians are blind to racism, especially when they are not directly affected.

Just because you haven't experienced racism doesnt mean it doesnt exist. If all your friends look like you you don't know

I dont think preferring some facial features over the other is a form of racism tbh, but that line is also kind of a blur. That grey scale kind of worked as a double edged sword. Only shows the details of the face but also kind of took away the race.

Racism, discrimination, ignorance and prejudice are parts of white peoples’ culture and their DNA but things are getting better and there is hope at the end of the tunnel for many reasons so be patient. # Use your brain not your ignorant culture.

I think the town of Raginia has a bigger problem with their name than their systemic racism

I have been to Vancouver and Toronto. I felt more discriminated against because I am American than Black. People asked me if I voted for Trump. Which I did not.\nI’m know racism is in Canada but it’s not like here in the US where you have to worry about the po po.

My only question about these tests, is how large were the sample pools? And one other thing to note, is that compared to almost every other nation on earth, Canada has next to no racism (i believe we are actually the best on earth when it comes to that). I'm white and have traveled to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America, and have experienced racism in every one of those continents. By a large portion of the people I interacted with. I also find that most racism that I have seen or experienced stems from 2 places. One culture and the second a lack of experience in interacting with other races.

Lot of racism in Canada. If you're gun owner you may even be kicked out of Toronto. You'll be paying for the Caribbean homicide rate.

RACISM IS BORN OUT OF STEREOTYPES AND STEREOTYPES ARE BORN OUT OF A LOT OF PEOPLE FROM A CERTAIN ETHNICAL GROUP DOING WRONG THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. CHANGE FROM WITHIN AND RACISM WILL END. OBAMA WAS 2 TERM PRESIDENT OF THE USA, DON’T TELL ME RACISM WILL STOP ANYONE FROM ACHIEVING THEIR GOALS TODAY. RACISM IS NO MORE POWERFUL THAN ROASTING AND IN THE AGE OF ROASTING, COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMEONE SAYING MEAN THINGS TO YOU MAKES YOU THE WEAK LINK - CUSS BACK AND MOVE ON

It's sad that we needed this kind of testing to make people admit that there is racism in Canada. If you ask every person of colour in Canada, they will tell you the truth. Just believe them. Why doubt? There's a problem right there.

I've faced racism before and it wasn't pretty at all...
2020-08-15 0
i wouldnt say there is a racism problem but there is definitely a stereotype problem
2020-08-15 0
one of my biggest gripes with racism is that they never show the stereotypes that are formed from these types of videos. alright im black and i have multiple white friends the have been profiled wrongly because of things like this. i say call out all the bad but dont get mad at someone for making a stereotype of you when you do the same thing back
2020-08-10 0
There are is a lot of racism people in Canada plus they are very hypocrites they give you and smile in front of you, but they could stab you in the back if they have the chance, that's the way they are
2020-08-10 0
I would still move to Canada if trump stays. Because i know that racism is everywhere but trump and his party isnt. Lol
2020-08-10 0
The Best Buy thing was not a fair experiment, there is a reason experiments need to run multiple times with different variables. Maybe the black guy had more expensive clothes and looked like he would spend more....they're probably right that it was racism, but that isn't conclusive enough to throw out those accusations.

Hey don’t mess with a peace full asian lady I’m asian aswell I seen racism
2020-08-07 0
US Americans moving into Canada and bringing racism with them? Where did this 'Canada is a happy, respectful and welcoming country' stereotype came from? I've seen a lot of racists videos from this country...Canadians are just like US Americans but in a passive agressive way.

I'm Chinese living in Canada and I don't see a lot of racism in Canada. Maybe other group of ppl are experiencing it I don't know. But as a Chinese person, I don't like political correctness.

Look ! Our Canadian are truly friendly and fake. Our legal system accept the racism. The policemen never do the right thing.
2020-08-03 0
I’m convinced people don’t know what systemic racism is. Systemic racism means there are policies in place in our system to prevent blacks or browns from achieving their goals are getting to the upper echelon of work
2020-08-01 0
maybe another 2000 years for racism to disappear
2020-07-31 0
I can understand the pain because I have faced the same open racism incidents. Imagine for a person studying abroad, away from their family, alone having to fave racism almost at every other moment. It breaks us mentally and emotionally.

He’s bringing American attitudes to Canada. As we have seen Racism is an equal threat to people’s lives. What a loser. I guess he wasn’t worried about her being COVID positive when he hit on her.

Racism exists in Edmonton but I think it happens often in the westend

Every July 1st holiday I mourn for the native peoples whose lands, way of life and freedoms were changed forever. It is difficult to celebrate colonization, genocide and racism. I am Caucasian by the way. ?
2020-07-29 0
Even if action was taken against the systemic racism against the blacks and natives not only would it still exist but there would still be significant racism towards immigrants and any other visible minority indeed that racism would be literally unchanged. The best we can hope for is to continually bring racism to light. The fight against racism never ends.

Canada is one of the worst places to immigrate to. I’m Canadian. I know what it’s like to live here. Plus I’m indigenous. So I’ve face racism and prejudice. Many think my people gets free handouts. From my experience that’s far from the truth. I’ve left my community for a better education. I was completely alone without parents and my siblings, living with an aunt that used me for another pay check. I couldn’t go to college because I couldn’t afford it, even tho I got accepted into three colleges. Now I’m working a part-time job that forces me to stand on my feet all day. Not many job opportunities are out here unless you’ve gone to college or obtain training. plus the rate for rent is horrendous.

WHat an ignorant... he's calling her Chinese... but she's not. I'm also not condoning racism against any race. This guy is an ignorant.... he represents a lot of white people who view minorities as a threat
2020-07-27 0
The key point is history, not current day racism and it's not bad now like it is today.
2020-07-25 0
I don’t think anybody of non colour or visible minority would ever understand how racism is prevalent. Which I do understand. In my opinion Canada is a much more accepting than many other western countries and systemic racism is less prevalent. As a Muslim man I feel pretty lucky but my mom has many stories of suspected race based descions by people in power whether be an officer, judge or store clerk. I am sure not all of them were, however definitely some were.

Seriously, it all depends on who is looking at your file. Canada also has racism, depending on the province. Whoever is looking at your file will determine the success of how many points they give you. And he has to improve his English so he can apply for a better job and get a better work visa. If he earns enough, he gets more points and will likely be able to stay.

Police protects white people only in Canada!. Silent racism from police.
2020-07-23 0
If you want to see how deeply in denial Canadians are about systemic racism, note there are 1000 more dislikes on this video than likes. Says it all.

Ur all accusing Asian people when COVID-19 was made in Canada and it was a man made bioweapon that accidentally broke in a Wuhan Lab behind the wet markets in Wuhan China you can't blame Asian people or animals from the virus when it's clearly an airboat Bio weapon man made materials first read the the facts behind all this COVID-19 then look at ur own people who made it in ur country and took it to China and stop with the hate and racism. Regards \n from a non Asian person but loves Asian people God bless everyone and stay safe

In USA there is more racism and discrimination towards whites than all other cultures combined.

Anybody wanna see what real systemic racism looks like, then watch APTN News. The stuff they show on these mainstream news networks is biased and censored. At least on APTN they don't hold anything back, and you might just be surprised how real racism really is in cxnxdx. We are not the shining example of reform that most cxnxdixn citizens think we are; and even if you think you have it all figured out, or you think we're all fighting for the same cause~ then you still have a lot to learn about racism in cxnxdx, Firstnations awareness, ethnic diversity, and how much xenophobia really has a hold on our country. Denial is NOT bliss, and my eyes have been wide opened. I love this country, but there are no rose coloured glasses here.

and yet People Say Canada doesn't have racism
2020-07-22 0
I can't take this.. I haven't heard any one at my work which is very multicultural ever say they face racism. As far as the world and I am concerned Canadians are welcoming and poilte

Always something man?? Racism is such a curse! Every race goes through it sadly.
2020-07-21 0
What are you talking about? In every scenario there was no racism until atleast the 3rd attempt. Of course you are going to see problems if you just keep repeating a process until you finally get negative results......\n Your focused on racism that took place after multiple attempts. Why isn't this a video on the lack of racism. Searching out negatively and not finding it would have been a topic worth sharing.\n I will be unsubscribing now.
