White Brampton millennial resident who grew up in 99.9% white East Coast here- this video does not provide an accurate representation of the entire city. It shows a tiny sliver. Brampton’s crime levels are lower than most other GTA cities. I feel safer here as a single woman than any other city I’ve lived in. There are Indians calling back home to their families in India in the middle often the night and they often go outside so as to avoid disrupting the sleeping members of their household. This makes me feel very safe bc I know there are normal ppl out late at night and it dissuades criminals. For the population size of Brampton, the homeless population is very low. There are folks who do sit in front of that church - tho it’s not at all dangerous like you said. There is a homeless enclave hidden in the woods behind a shopping plaza too. I see almost no homeless ppl. The biggest problem about Brampton and other suburbs of the GTA is that there are many scammers. They scammed their way into buying homes with fake T4s. They scam the CRA by not claiming their rental income so they tax evade. They use all this extra money to buy more homes which they rent out and fraudulently put them under their family members names to avoid designating them as investment properties meaning they don’t have to pay capital gains tax when they sell. Well, as an immigrant, I am sorry for the Canadians who were born here. The thing is though, until our government can find a way to solve the birth rate problem or labor shortage, mass immigration likely will continue. \n\nMy work contains data analysis of our job market and here is what we found: even with this level of immigration, our labor supply right now in Canada is still slightly below replacement level. In less than a decade, the majority of people in the workforce will retire. This creates two problems: 1) more retirees mean more pension needed from the government; 2) government needs tax money to pay for pensions, but the workforce is shrinking so there will be less tax payers. I don’t see a good solution to this unless some super AI saves the day. Of several bad solutions (gambling is more like it), immigration has a chance of turning things around. But either way, the next generation of workers will be the most overworked and heavily taxed in decades.

What does it mean to be Canadian I’m confused? Indigenous? After all everyone is an immigrant here. Perhaps if there was no concept of old stock new stock and inequalities that lie so deep, that entitlement oozes from a passive aggressive society with a declining growth population. Well if it’s true about the new quantum financial system. We need to close the borders immediately and start giving serious tax breaks to old-stock Canadians in order to encourage them to have more children. This should have been done 50 years ago already. We need a leader that puts Canadians first but the future looks like a third world. English and French will soon be second and third languages.

Justin Trudeau knew that unrestrained immigration would destabilize our economy but that is exactly what he wanted. Singapore Airlines is an absolute treat to fly on. I gather in a microcosm, it is interesting to compare Air Canada and Singapore airline or all Nippon airways, with Air Canada. Air Canada is very expensive for a one or two hour flight, not so in Southeast Asia. Air Canada service is horrible, intimidating, and nasty. Singapore airlines and all Nippon airways, is exactly the opposite. Air Canada makes it very difficult for you too make claims on cancelled flights, broken luggage, and breaches of contract. Singapore airlines and other airlines in Southeast Asia go out of their way to advert a claim. The taxes on a ticket with Canada is horrendous, both indirect and direct taxes, in Singapore and all Nippon airways, much more reasonable. I think when you compare to airlines or multiple airlines against Air Canada, Air Canada is a microcosm of economics, workplace normality, and courteousness. Canadians will always say “I am sorry. “but let me assure you for somebody that is both, culturally Asian and Canadian, they don’t mean it a bit. The culture is more passive aggressive than anything else. Canadians are distant, and have a very, very remote education on their own country. I also have to give credit to the Singaporean pilots. There is usually the captain, first officer, and a second officer or two upfront. Excellent training for the up-and-coming first officers and captains. In Canada, of course we don’t do this. I feel at the safety upfront, especially in an IFR environment, is being sacrificed in Canada and North America. cost is everything, will safety seems like it has taken a backseat. Second officers should be mandatory on all Air Canada flights. This is not the case anymore. Also, on a visual approach to hit the button, I would definitely give the Singapore captain the edge. The hands and feet of an air. Canada pilot has deteriorated beyond belief where, if they don’t have their flight management system and auto pilot going in full tilt, they start sweating and second-guessing themselves.
