No, medical care is not good in Canada. Diagnostics are not good. Doctors never knew what is going on and don't seem to care. Italy and Germany are way better and have integrated understanding of medicine. ~ And, no, Canadians are not friendly but quite hostile and rude actually. A Canadian here who moved to the USA back in the 1990's. Back then, and even more so today, it was pointless with the Canadian tax structure to work hard and make higher income. So I moved to the USA, worked my ass off in a progressive tax structure and am now in a place of happiness and freedom in retirement. I visit Canada often enjoying a great exchange rate. It's heartbreaking to see everyone either work like crazy to be left with almost nothing after taxes, or my unemployed friends get almost as much after-tax on welfare who complain about how the schools, taxes and government service are going to immigration. I hope Canada can start developing an identity and work towards something more positive than simply growing the government unions.

As a Canadian that lives right on the Canada US border, I went to the states in very early '80s, 4 times. Not going back any time soon. Darien Lake and House of Guitars in NY, Mackinaw Island. If Canada continuous at this rate, they're not going to have many native Canadian workers at this point staying in their native country. Come to Surrey, BC and you will feel so alienated. 90% here are of South Indian decent. You feel like you're not in Canada but in India. You go to shops and they're all there.

The huge problem is Canada is the lack of competition. You can open a shitty restaurant chain like cactus club in vancouver, or a shitty coffee chain like blenz and still be a multi million dollar corparation. Yet you pay insane prices to go to these places. For instance in major cities like Istanbul, London, new york etc yes, you pay crazy prices but you are also eating at the best of the best in the world. The level of mediocrity is insane in Canada that charge insane prices.

I’m an Aussie. I went to Canada on a 2 year working holiday visa. I arrived in Vancouver. Didn’t feel like I was in Canada. Felt like I was living in Hong Kong. Moved to Calgary. You facts are way off to the point of being misleading. Then average cost of a home in the GTA is $1.2 million and by law you need a 20-25% down payment. Even if you're lucky to get that $800k home you need a 15% down payment of 15% so that's $120k! Incomes here suck you need over $250k to qualify for a mortgage...who earns that? My circle is lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and only 2 income professionals can get that. Over the last 10 years Canada has become very anti families and anti heterosexual so most people are single. It's also become super anti social. I've lived and traveled all over and everyone I know is making plans to go back to their home countries, countries of parentage or the US or Mexico. The Carbon Tax on gas in Canada TOOOOTALLY makes sense, but ONLY when we have viable alternatives for driving across all driving distances at all times. Which we do not. New transit projects are always faced with pushback and slowdowns from within the government itself even, and our zoning laws make it so we can only have single family detached homes which sprawls everything so far out that driving is the ONLY realistic transit method. \n\nThis carbon tax does nothing, the reason you implement one on gas is to persuade people into taking an alternative transportation method if you can, OR to source funding for transit programs so that people can ACTUALLY HAVE the option of an alternative. But in Canada? You already know that money is only going to go into maintaining and adding lanes to roadways.

Canada can't continue with this amount of immigration. Honestly, IMO, Canada should only be considering skilled immigrants, and importantly, immigrants who can speak either English or French articulately. My daughter had a resident doctor who was Indian, who was going to perform a procedure which included using a scalpel on her tongue (she was tongue tied, minimally). I couldn't understand a word he was saying, neither could she. He got so mad he threw the scalpel at the wall. I went and got the supervising physician, and we got the procedure done. My point here is, yes we need skilled workers, but they need to be able to communicate with the general public.\nAlso, the family reunification program needs to be overhauled. No seniors unless the sponsors can pay for them out of pocket until death; and no extra money for children who are brought over that arent the sponsors biological children.

The analysis is kind of missing one thing. For example crime. Yes even with the increase of crime it is still relatively low. But it is the trend that matters. I don't agree that North American cities are all ugly just like not all European cities are all that beautiful. Go to Rome, Naples Athens and you will see how dirty and run down these cities are. And no Vancouver is not nicer than Chicago.\n\n I think the mindset here in Canada especially Ontario is not the best. Everyone is all about going to work and just isolating. In Europe it's much more vibrant. People want to go out and socialize a lot more. Here it's basically work and home. Not much else.\n\n If things were good here economically all these points would take a back seat and most people would tolerate them. But when rent is $2000 plus. Wages are barely going up etc..etc..than everything else starts to grate on you.
