I've been homeless before too. Absolutely sickening how foreigners get special treatment in housing simply because it looks better globally. THEY CHOSE TO COME HERE! They should have done their research before coming. In a world where information is so easy to come by, its beyond irresponsible to move to a new country without doing research first. OUR PEOPLE are dying, and by coming here to leech off our homeless supports, you aren't helping yourself, or any of the millions who were here before you. As a former homeless person, in my opinion every single one of my friends who died because they couldn't get housing, the blood is on these peoples hands for exploiting our country

Lifetime Canadian here; housing crisis for sure, but what`s even more insidious is many entry level jobs such as fast food industry, production workers in factories, and even culturally significant cornerstones such as Canadian Tires are being owned and operated by East Indians, going so far as to play Indian music over their loudspeakers for us Canadians (both at a McDonald`s and at a Canadian Tire). It`s obnoxious and border lining on reverse racism; because trust me, these people will drive out all the nationals, and replace them with their own temporary workers, whom they have much more control over, and are likely infringing on human rights concerns (taking passports, multiple human occupancy housing), it`s a mess here. I lived on the streets of Toronto for over 3 years between 1997 & 2001. I'd always been a bisexual 'loose, wild and crazy girl' as they say, and for me it was a natural progression. When I was 20 my family immigrated here from South Africa but I was way too immature so Quebec City and I didn't get along. I and a girlfriend hitchhiked out to run wild in Toronto. The fun only lasted the summer and then I spent 3 years living on the streets there. Doing 'the job' just to get by becomes a chore for sure. I spent one winter in a tent city near the lake but too many people made it a violent place. My last winter out there I spent in the Don Valley with a small group, moving our encampment every few days. I would likely have ended up dying out there but a guy I scarcely knew at the time drove all the way to T.O. and spent a week looking for me and just by luck found me when I was at my lowest and willing to go home.

1 million international student a year mainly from India , and most of them stay in canda and get jobs . canada literally gets more than one million immigrant a year , creating a housing crisis .these students are victims to literally human traficking tactics as they re been promised permanent residence and a better life in canda just to be used and left to struggle in a broken economy .

This is Indian foreign officer. India has worst customer service in the world. I love India but the bureaucrats of India are the worst and absolutely corrupt. I remember as a child, my father went to get a visa from the San Francisco Indian Embassy. the guy was coming up with multiple excuses. My dad pulled out a few hundred bucks and it to him and then five minutes later we got the visa. My father told me this is the way India works. You just have to give little bribe and your work will get done promptly.

The same thing happened to CA, the state is getting overwhelmed with migrants and people From other states who know the social benefits available and exploit the loopholes…. Unfortunately is going to cost the state in the long run
