I get it I really do, I agree they may come across it MORE, but we ALL get treated that way regardless of color. I’m a white young female and have been followed around stores, been treated more rude than others around me that are maybe dressed nicer than me or look like they have more money, I’ve had different treatment than my peers, it completely just depends on the people we come across, and when we come across them, ect that determine all of it. But I can assure you I have went through the same things as any other color, maybe not as often but it does happen. I wish we could just all love each other, and that means both ways, you can’t judge me because of how the other majority of my color acts or gets treated, the same way you don’t want me to do the same. ?

I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

Mean while there watching the black person and its usually sometimes its the white person that's stealing the item. I've seen situation like that. I've even gone in to department stores looking to purchase something and being ignored by the sales rep they would rather help the white person than the black person in a situation where I wanted to purchase something the sales rep went to help the white lady who she spent half-an-hour with and that white woman did not purchase anything I was in a hurry ended up getting help from another sales rep ended up spending $300 the first sales rep who didn't help me looked over and saw that large purchase and thoughts to herself I should have helped that black girls. I mean in both cases you can't just judge a person by their colour a thief is a thief.

What if..the vast majority of shoplifters are Nuns..then Nuns would be closely watched whenever they went shopping.

I've been followed.. I'm basically white.. I stuffed stuff in my pockets on purpose and then went to the register and pulled it all out and paid for it, then I smiled and looked at the plain clothed security guard and laughed!!!

i remember when there was a huge earthquake in California and the road systems collapsed and people were stuck in their cars and on the news , they only showed this once, but we saw young black men risking their lives to save those people 's lives .. I went to the US often and I often came in contact with wonderful people of every culture or race and ALL were kind and sweet.

I am from the US and am ashamed at my country’s racism. My family has always taught me as a very very young child that my country was new and made up of people of every country...a melting pot. As my parents taught me I also taught my daughter. It wasn’t until she reached high school that racism was really addressed at my home. In her sophomore year she came home extremely distressed over a discussion at her lunch table. Mind you she had been with the same group of girls since kindergarten. The subject came up about a new girl in school, from another country... Africa. She was so distressed about the conversation before the end of day she spoke to a teacher about it...her math and track coach. I was incredibly proud of her! To this day I can’t thank my parents enough for instilling in me what I needed to live free. To this day my daughter 17 years later has the pleasure of that young girl from Africa as a part of her extended family. We know what we are taught and ignorance has no place in or society today. I also grew up in Chester, PA where Dr Martin Luther King Went to school or a time, my parents were so proud of that.

Mark was approached no less than 3 times in one visit. The last time I went to Best Buy I was looking for wireless headphones. Was approached within the first 5 minutes... I said that I was still looking... then nothing. My husband said that’s what they do... they don’t want to smother you. I had to track someone down when I finally had a question. So...?

Racism is real and it does exist whether we like it or not. When I went to college, this white girl was so disrespectful and rude. She always look down on students except some white students as if she is superior than us. Most of white people, I have met are racists because I can tell even though they won’t say they are.

I went into a convenience store and the owners (Chinese) followed me around the store as I look for snacks and went to the back for drinks.. I was been shadowed! I told them that why she- because one followed me- was shadowing me? She gave me a smile.. sometimes I feel they pretend that dont understand a word of English, but actions speak louder than words. It was obvious, they thought i was gonna steal something... Now, tell me.. Does that make them racists too? I think so! I didnt buy anything.. but I gave them an earful for that. I have seen how they also keep an eye on Black people. Later, these same people say that THEY are the ones facing racism.

Yah make it like it is rasict and not because of experiences they have had. This isn’t fair. I was out with a friends child , shopping for her( she was black and 10). I was going to buy her the items she was trying on. When I went to see if they fit I see that she had pulled of the tags. She must have learned this from her mother. Sham full what you are pedaling. 8:17 BEST BUY Hello people Just before the COVID 19 pandemic struck our Country, in the United States of America. My son and I were shopping at Best Buy. We had more than five or six different people ask if we needed assistance. My Son would say no thanks, and I would ask each one that did ask if I needed help, to help me. That associate would show me where to look, then try real hard to get away from me. This happened at least five to six times. All six times, I said yes. Finally, they stopped asking me and continued to ask my son. The reason my son would say no thanks is because he was just looking. I, on the other hand, had questions about what I wanted to buy. They did a great job answering all of my questions, however, when it came to buying what I wanted to buy most of all of the associates had either left the area or went home, because I could not find anyone when it came down to purchasing the items I wanted, only to find out what I wanted was made in China, They no longer carry the product, in their stores, or online. However, they still had the items on display; however, you just could not buy them. P.S. We are white.

Except you forget to mention that we do not have $1 and $2, we have loonies and toonies and our paper dollars are coloured \nI saw that you went to the Dominican Republic but what about Haiti? I went to save on foods the other day. they told me that I had to leave my bag at the front because it could contain germs. While I was shopping I saw several women with purses. Apparently women carrying purses don't spread germs but men with backbacks do. Sexism against men doesn't get much attention but its very real!

I have no problem with skin color or race. I do have a problem when I go to the doctor's office and cannot understand half of what the doctor is saying to me. I do have a problem when I call for technical service and cannot understand half of what the technician is saying. This is frustrating. If people with another first language want to work for American companies where communication is a big part of the job, I only wish they would speak more fluently. I had this very situation this morning. Called for service, could not understand through heavy accent. He was getting very frustrated with me. If I went to another country it would be up to me to learn to speak that language. I dealt with this in the hospital...and in this setting it can be critical. I spoke to the Chief of Residency because of a potentially harmful situation and was told the residents all meet their requirements for English. well, whoopdido...that did not help either of us when a patient was going south.

I went to Montreal and Quebec in 2015 and the people are very calm there and the french speaking people in Quebec are a similar version of how Hispanics speak Spanish (Not being racist people just giving my pov of similarity)

I'm native and I get followed alot. ALSO AT A SHOPPERS DRUG MART the girl kept asking to bring my items to the cashier. I had a few makeup items which were small I wasnt struggling holding them I said no thanks. So she kept following me watching me. I eventually got fed up put the items back and then I could see her wondering where they went and she asked I said I put them back in not a their stop following me you just lost a customer then she started tryna act like she wasnt doing anything

TRUE STORY : first time i went to Costco, i was ignored and rude to. Finally, i asked why am i being ignored? He apologized and offer to assist me. I told him I'm interested in on a membership and the city credit card. He bluntly told me, he doesn't think I'll get approve for the credit card. I asked why? He said because nobody ever does. I replied, i am not a NOBODY! He said please be quiet and complete my application profile. He did just so. He was genuinely shocked, when i got an instant $4k approval. Its dangerous. I am from a muslim community, but I am not a islamic believer. We usually wear doti to outside and will fold it above knee. I am from kerala. When i was studying in hyderabad. When i went outside with doti folding above knee. Some people wearing skull cap called me and asked me to unfold the doti and cover lower part of leg and they was very angry. After that they asked me my name. When i told my name is fasal rahman, they asked me that why brother dont cover 'ourath'. They told that they thought i am a tamil hindu.
