If you're a genuine immigrant and work very hard, life will become a bed of roses. Weather possibly. Bleak weather is quite depressing to say the least.

As a Canadian, I love immigration. As a renter though, our government failed us so hard. They defunded our housing in hopes that the private market would pick up the slack. It didn't, then because of our economy/demographics are we had to massively increase immigration. It broke a system that was already crumbling. Now a whole generation of people will never be able to afford to buy their own home many of us can't even afford the rent. Is it that surprising the majority of our legislators are landlords?

Only lazy selfish people who came to Canada thinking only about making money and building Canada,. Canada those NOT need those types of newcommers and they should leave. Those who came before us and built Canada were focused, worked very hard for pennies, and yet focused on building Canada. That's why Canada is a super power today. To the lazy selfish newcomers these day,, I would say if you're not willing to build Canada, then get your very lazy selfish self out of Canada quickly.

Our government is useless, prices double and they just act surprised ? They have hearings on why we are being robbed by every single major company in Canada and literally never do a single thing after it’s all just a ruse. These same people own stocks in these companies and just keep doing it. Canadians have been let down by their government so badly it is hard not to call it treason, but it is so bad because we have allowed complete monopoly over certain industries and never controlled them so they feel invincible with the feds invested and such a big market share.

I moved to Canada as a student in Sept 2023. I moved back in January 2024. \nExtremely hard decision. But no regret! \nIt’s not worth it anymore.

Canada has never been easy, but it was the easiest path for unskilled, lowly educated Indian workers from rural areas to be able to migrate abroad, as they don't have a shot at legal pathways in the US or other EU countries. Of course unskilled workers will have a hard time here, as they would anywhere else. Tamper your expectations and know your capabilities.

Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

I went to work when it was -38 C .... sometimes it goes down to -28 every night for weeks and your right taxes are really high, it's really hard to get a head here.

It’s a zhithole, cheapest house in poorest province is 300,000 while salaries are 45,000 a year where you take home 30,000 in a year for high taxes but people are so stupid that just won’t stop immigrating cuz they think is just like the US where you work hard and you are rewarded. Too many young people coming with not much experience and skills Plus when someone is coming on a student Visa to study here, Why looking for a job and survival money while Canada issued the Visa for study only ( Moderate job/20 hrs). Also immigration to Canada do not give any Job guarantee. Why does this happen is simple to explain. Newcomers to Canada won't leave their customs behind and many will try to fool the Canadian Government into free handouts ect...ect. Canada is not all about oneself as many Newcomers would like it to be. Most Canadians worked dam hard for years to achieve what we have today. We did not beg our Government for handouts or cry because money was sometimes short, no we did not....we worked harder and showed determination. Unlike many Newcomers to Canada.

Canada is very expensive and its hard to find affordable housing, healthcare is slow, groceries are very expensive and services are very expensive, taxes are high, transit infrastructure in Toronto is ridiculously behind other world cities. You need a car to survive in Canada and gas and insurance is very expensive. Childcare is too expensive. Clothing is limited and expensive

I pay over $4000 mortgage on a 420k house I bought 7 years ago, used to be $1300, worked so hard for 18 years to be able to buy a house. Property taxes are $350 a month, groceries are tripled.. every single person is suffering. I’m thinking it’s about time to have a change in the system.

Educated people with college degrees from other nations can't work right away in their profession because they require canadian experience and bla bla bla. The cost of living is very high, they tax you for breathing, small job market overall. Canada needs to be more flexible in professionals with experience in their fields. They are not looking to be working in fast food chains or anything like that having experience. Canada is a hard place to start from zero knowing the reasons above.

I’m Canadian by birth and this would not surprise me. If you go to large cities like Toronto you would be hard pressed to find someone who was born in Canada, the amount of homeless and mentally ill people is staggering.\nHousing and rents are unaffordable unless you have a government job.\nI’m 63 now and always considered Canada to be a great place to live but for the past 20 years it’s become just like any other shitehole.

Australia is worse, even more expensive housing and much more racist when it comes to job search, also Australia dollar is worth less than Canadiam dollars. Canada bashing seems to have become a fashionable sport, but all those who are leaving never say where they are moving to. The fact is the grass is not always greener on the other side, Sydney housing costs 1.5 times of Toronto and London housing costs easily twice of Vancouver. If you are capable and work hard, you can still do way better in Canada than India.

Canada has become a small petty place where selfish woke ideology trumps all. For people with options, looking to work hard, build and create, Canada is less appealing - we have many politicians playing class warfare, demonizing those that earn and succeed while praising those who prefer to belly up to a trough. Indian news exaggerating the situation in Canada. I've been living in Canada past 5 years. I've never made more money and never lived my life better. \n\nWhen a million students come to study every year in 2 major intakes, it's obviously hard to find jobs. Canadian government has rightfully put a cap on this number to prevent this. The only mistake they did was not putting a cap 3-4 years ago.

Same thing here…day or night Vancouver Victoria Kamloops Kelowna Prince George or Rupert etc… just keep going east and north… it’s all changed… there’s no where to go but stay the course of hard work for nothing or get evicted and get pushed further by the governments and police driven by the gentrification happening in the towers and townhouses pushing the rest of us away…OH CANADA ??

I worked in the mines of Northern Ontario have had two wives and six children payed high child support and spousal support. But just before I was ready to retire I had no more responsibilities and I got to keep my pension. I brought a house twenty years ago in Newfoundland where I am from and put it in my Mother's name. I am now retired with a payed for home which I heat with a wood cook stove, electric base boards but never need them and have solar panels and wind turbines but I am still hooked up to the grid but my bill is 40 dollars.I don't have internet or Netflix only a cell phone with a 100 gigabytes download.I run my tv off solar power that charges golf cart batteries also have a generator to charge the battery bank .I download off of YouTube and other places to a 1 terabyte hard drive that run thru my laptop and have that backuped . I have a ham radio. 250 gallon water tank just in case the village I live in the water goes out. I have a water flush toilet and a compost toilet. My property has apple trees and very productive raised beds to grow food, I also fish and hunt small game but I buy beef and pork that is free range and grass fed from a local butcher. There are many ATV trails around here, we have a gas station and small grocery store which I try to buy as much as possible from to support local employment. I have a side by side ATV with a nice back box , insurance and gas cost nothing. I used to have a truck but got rid of it because I didn't need it to get around plus I enjoy the ride in the side by side. The only draw back is to many people drink and drive around here and young people on drugs who steal.. I have pension and benefits and traveled for five years before I came back here. I get restless for excitement but remember it's a time to be quiet. Don't crave others company and I am pretty healthy, the only stress I have is to figure out what I am going to do that day. Yes I have to work to get wood and grow food but I could sit on my ass all day if I felt like it but you got to keep yourself in shape. I watch a lot documentaries and read e books but have my favorite books in paper. It does get boring but boring is good and you must be happy with what you got and no I don't need a partner remember I was married twice and everything was about what they wanted and not me.. I have gotten used to not answering to anyone or having to meet their needs and wants.. yes I am happy and don't have to struggle
