People complain a lot about every country. No country is perfect. However, Canada was just ranked second best country (just behind Switzerland) for 2023 by US News. Canada is expensive, but it's also the best.

Go home while you still can, because when Trump signs the executive order, you will all be arrested, detained and deported, before the start of Spring 2024....with the backlog, you people will be in prison for years , before your bus ticket back to country of origin, will be ready and aĺ legal paperwork, complete...best start headsouth of the border, asap....fair warning.

THERE IS NO SUCH THINGS AS THE BEST PROVINCES IN CANADA BUT ONLY THE LESS WORSE PROVINCE AMONG OTHER WORST PROVINCES!

It's only for a while. After the target number of immigrants has been attained, Canada will be one of the best countries in the near future.

What happened to Canada is like a nightmare. We are Canadians and we left because we foresaw everything that is happening right now. Twas the saddest but probably the best decision we've ever made for our family.

Very interesting analysis. As a US investor in Canadian companies from Florida, I like see whats happening up there. \nThe comments seem to reflect my own fb in the US....people complaining about high prices of housing and food. This seems to be an OECD post pandemic phenomenon. \nI will say, if you can invest in your monopolies and oligopolies, you will do well. Canada has some of the best, safest and conservatively run companies and banks. \n....and while you may complain about your health care, here in America, everyone lives in fear of getting sick and then being wiped out financially.

Biden policies at its best.

To people looking for a livable city, try checking BGC in Manila, Philippines. I'd dare say it's the best cosmopolitan place to live in under $1500.

I came back after 20 years in the U.S. I don't know which one is the most messed up. Canada is not like it's used to be, and not for the best. This mass immigration, post-national nonsense is destroying the country. People come in just for the benefit without feeling the need to integrate.

People from Africa mainly got to Europe to get good living conditions..They are risking their life and going throught the Sahara derset. They are carried bu Toyota Hilux which is one of the best vechile to go through the desert . Many people say that if you want to achieve something in life you must risk your life and he concludes that the last word is in God. There is a chance that the snugglers take their money and leave them abandont the middle of the desert . The smugglers earn a loot if money here. There a dozen of vechile and hundreds of people Willing to go to Europe every day.The percentage of reaching Europe is about 80.\nBY ARAVIND ?

I'm Canadian and left Canada in 2022. I also transferred both my companies and most my assets (except my Canadian real-estate) and it's the best decision I ever made.

I was born and raised in Canada and then moved to the US in my mid 20s and it was the best decision of my life. Lower taxes, higher pay, more affordable housing, and more career opportunities. The government continues to neglect the housing crisis which reduces the incentive for educated/ambitious people to stay. Until housing prices return to normal, I think it will continue to experience brain drain.

Brampton is the best place for international students!!

The best city in my opinion is Victoria... the infrastructure and geography plus what it offers is an anomaly when compared to all the other big cities... it has the perfect blend of city n suburb without the constraints of solitude

4:56 big time wrong, if you get a major illness and are insured your best chances of survival is in the states; our Healthcare is fine for basics but if you get cancer you will die waiting in line; if you tell an ER that if they discharge you that you will unalive yourself, they will do just that. When your health care is being paid for and by extension decided upon by a government body who keeps the budget in mind, thing can get very dark..\n\nSpeaking from people I know and knew personally.. Seriously, taking responsibility into your own hands may be more cumbersome, possibly even more expensive, but it is in YOUR hands

As a born and raised Canadian millennial, I'm grateful to have escaped Canada almost a decade ago when even back then I could no longer tolerate the conditions of Greater Toronto. It's exponentially worse in Toronto today. I wish the best for Canada but I just can't see it improving over the coming decades. I love my life in the US too much to ever move back, but fortunately close enough to make the drive to visit friends and family.

I left years ago. Best move ever! Crazy expensive, WAYYYYY too 'woke' and pretty much a Communist state. What they did to their own people in COVID is criminal.

Canada was the best country in the world 15 years ago, the mass immigration and progressive globalization that made it go downhill rapidly.

America and the West need to hands off other countries economies and politics.\nThey corrupt these leaders and make puppets of most of them to harness the best of their raw materials for almost free, so this is the result...

I spent several wonderful years in Vancouver in the 1980s. I would have said then that it was the best country in the world to emigrate to. I can't believe what's happened to it, mostly it seems under the present government.

I believe Canadian citizenship should require a minimum residency of at least five years to deter those seeking only a passport. While Canada is a great place to live and work not the best like USA, it isnt a good as it was and definitely not the best for retirement compared to countries like Mexico.

Welcome to Canada, best wishes from an Indian who migrated to Canada. By chance was listening to a song by a Nigerian artist- Majeeed Tiwa Savage Gbese. Heard a Nigerian friend listening to it. Have heard it about 10 times consecutively.?\nWish you peace, health, wealth and prosperity.

I'm one of those immigrants who left. My wife and I got our Canadian citizenships and are back in the Philippines now for a year and I'm loving it here. The remote work has really worked for the best in these low cost of living countries.

Just because you’re a doctor, an architect, an other in the country you came from... does not mean that you’re automatically qualified to work in Canada.\n\nThe standards are already being lowered in the medical system.. and it will come at a cost, equating to a lot more malpractice.\n\nI also wonder how many documents are forged with some of these degrees. Any who, all the best to you in the future!

A look back when I was a computer class teacher in primary school, I'd actually told the students that Canada is the best country to live....maybe i was misled those students..

I'm an immigrant from Latin America myself and i have to agree but it's deeper than that.\nI try my best to assimilate the culture but clearly not every immigrant does the same. \nOne of the reasons i left Toronto a couple years ago was precisely because of the housing crisis. Rent prices was on the roof.\nBesides that there's too many foreigners, half the city is trying to learn English and consequently the city's identity is lost. \nBut i guess this lost of identity is happening everywhere in Canada. It's sad to see.

If you were single with no kids, best thing to do is find an IT or any remote job earning CAD while living a decent life in Vietnam or Thailand!!

I totally agree on everything you said. And you were even kind or mild mannered on some of the topics. Best of luck from Calgary.

I am born in Canada and love the USA.I would love to move there someday. Every year I go on vacation there with my family. The best parts of USA is that its so much more beautiful then Canada, Groceries restaurants clothes electronics stuff is cheaper there, there are more things to do there then Canada, the cities I go to in USA pay more minimum then Canada and most cities there don't have snow or even cities that do get snow don't get cold anywhere near as Canada in Winter.

Had Canada's politicians prioritized the best interests of the people, the extensive immigration we are currently witnessing would have been avoided altogether. The majority of Canadians expressed opposition to mass immigration from non-European countries, but unfortunately, these sentiments were dismissed. Consequently, it is not surprising that the current wave of immigrants finds themselves disillusioned with politicians who are seemingly not prioritizing their interests – a situation that, in reality, should not come as a surprise.
